We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of faith, lifting up this request for healing and wisdom. First, we must address the way this prayer was framed, it did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ as the sole mediator between God and man. Scripture is clear: "For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, for "there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). We pray this understanding takes root in your heart, that you would approach God boldly through Christ alone.
Heavenly Father, we ask You to grant this dear one a wise and understanding heart, just as You gave to Solomon when he sought wisdom above all else (1 Kings 3:9-12). May they be a faithful steward of all You have entrusted to them, walking in integrity and humility. Lord, we pray they would seek You with their whole heart, pouring out their soul before You in prayer and meditating on Your Word day and night (Psalm 1:2). Let the truth of Proverbs 13:20 take hold in their life: "He who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm." Surround them with godly counsel and wisdom that comes from above, which is "first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy" (James 3:17).
We also lift up their physical needs before You, the Great Physician. Lord, You formed their body in their mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13), and You know every ache, every pain, and every concern. We ask for complete healing of their teeth, especially the upper wisdom tooth on the right, that it would not bring further discomfort. Touch their eyes, that they may see clearly, and restore strength to their left leg, pelvis, and the areas of concern in their thigh and abdomen. Heal their stomach, intestines, and gastrointestinal tract, that they may experience Your peace and restoration. Relieve their fatigue, flu symptoms, cough, cold, headache, sore throat, and hoarse voice. We declare Your promise over them: "By His stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on the truth that "the prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise them up" (James 5:15).
Father, we rebuke any spirit of infirmity or discouragement that may be trying to take hold. We command it to flee in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for "the Son of God was revealed to destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that You are their healer and their refuge. Help them to rest in Your promises and to trust in Your timing.
We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the name by which every knee will bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord (Philippians 2:9-11). May Your will be done in their life, and may they grow ever closer to You through this season. Amen.
