We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up these precious souls to our Heavenly Father. First, we stand in the authority of Jesus Christ against all forms of witchcraft and spiritual darkness that may be seeking to harm this sister and her children. The Word of God declares in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against their lives, their health, and their well-being in the mighty name of Jesus. We pray for a hedge of protection around them, as it is written in Psalm 91:11, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."
Father, we ask for an open door for this sister to find a new place to live, a safe and stable home where Your peace and provision abound. We pray for favor with social services, that they would act with wisdom, compassion, and justice in her situation. May Your hand guide every conversation and decision, Lord, and may she experience Your grace in abundance. We also lift her heart to You, asking that she would surrender her life fully to Christ. Draw her near, Lord, and let her know the depth of Your love and the power of Your salvation. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new."
For her friend who has received a cancer diagnosis, our hearts ache, and we cry out for his healing. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on the promise that You are the God who heals (Exodus 15:26). But more than physical healing, we pray for his soul. We ask that You would soften his heart to receive the truth of the Gospel. Open his eyes to see his need for a Savior, and give us the words and the opportunity to share the hope that is found in Jesus alone. As Romans 10:13 tells us, "For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved." We pray that he would call on Your name, Lord, and be saved.
Father, we also ask for wisdom and boldness as we seek to lead him to Christ. Let Your Holy Spirit go before us, preparing his heart to receive the truth. May he come to know that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and that no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). We pray for a supernatural encounter with Your love and grace, Lord, that he would be forever changed.
We lift all these requests to You, trusting in Your perfect will and timing. Strengthen this sister and her children, Lord, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Comfort her friend in his time of need, and let him feel Your presence in a tangible way. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we thank You for the victory that is already theirs in Christ Jesus.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
