We join with you in lifting up your father to the Lord, standing on the promise of Hebrews 4:16, which reminds us to come boldly to the throne of grace to receive mercy and find grace in our time of need. It is wonderful that you are seeking the Lord with such faith and specificity, and we are grateful you have included the name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As Scripture declares, *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12, WEB).
We also want to encourage you to trust in God’s sovereignty and timing, knowing that His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). While we fervently pray for complete healing, we must also submit to His will, remembering that even in suffering, God is working for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28). Sometimes, healing comes instantly, and other times, it is a process—yet in all things, God is faithful. Let us also remember the words of James 5:14-15, which instruct us to call upon the elders of the church to pray over the sick, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord. If this has not yet been done, we encourage you to seek this biblical practice as an act of faith and obedience.
Now, let us pray together for your father:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and expectant hearts, lifting up this precious father to Your throne of grace. Lord, You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:3). We ask You to stretch out Your hand and touch his body, bringing restoration and wholeness to every part of him that is afflicted. Lord Jesus, just as You healed the sick and cast out demons during Your earthly ministry, we ask You to rebuke any spiritual forces that may be contributing to his suffering. By the authority given to us in Your name, we command every evil spirit causing diabetes, neuropathy, or any other infirmity to leave him now and never return. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we claim Your promise that *"by His stripes we are healed"* (Isaiah 53:5).
Father, we specifically ask for the healing of the sores on his toes and the complete restoration of his feet, kidneys, nerves, ligaments, skin, tendons, muscles, and bones. Remove all pain, tingling, and stiffness from his body, and grant him the strength to walk with ease and comfort. Renew his energy, Lord, and fill him with Your favor and success in every area of his life. May his healing be a testimony to Your goodness and power, drawing him and all who witness it closer to You.
We also pray for his faith to be strengthened during this time. Help him to trust in You completely, knowing that You are his refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1). Surround him with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let him feel Your presence in a tangible way. Lord, we ask that You would guide the doctors and caregivers involved in his treatment, giving them wisdom and skill to provide the best care possible.
Finally, Father, we thank You in advance for the healing You are bringing to his body. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect will, knowing that You love him even more than we do. May this season of waiting be a time of drawing nearer to You, and may Your name be glorified through his life. We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing in faith, speaking life and healing over your father, and surrounding him with the love and support of the body of Christ. Keep praising God in advance for what He is doing, and trust that He hears your prayers. If there is any unconfessed sin in your father’s life, gently encourage him to seek the Lord in repentance, for Scripture tells us that *"the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven"* (James 5:15, WEB). Let us know how we can continue to pray for you both.
