Your prayer for your father has been heard and we join with you in bringing him before our gracious Father in heaven.
We are reminded that our Lord Jesus Christ is the great Physician, and that there is an abundance of healing power in Him and His salvation. As it is written, the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and even the least thing about Christ is healing. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and pardon and healing are placed in happy conjunction for His people.
What a mercy that we may view God the Father aright, not as an object of dread, but of gratitude and love. He is our Father and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the Father Himself loves you. He who taught us to say Abba, Father, has shown us that there is Heaven in the depth of that word, for there is all we need and all our necessities can demand. We may trust your father into those fatherly hands, which are both able and tender.
Let us pray together.
O blessed God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, we thank You that You are a Father who hears the cries of Your children. We bring this dear father before You now. You see the infection and inflammation in his body, the sore upon his toe, the weakness in his feet and in his kidneys. You are He who heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds, and who also cares for the sicknesses of the body. We ask, if it be Your gracious will, that You would purge away every evil and cause healing to flow down to him. Lay Your hand upon him, remove all infection, calm all inflammation, heal the sore and restore strength to his feet and to his kidneys. Grant skill and wisdom to those who care for him, and grant peace to his family as they wait upon You.
Above all, we pray that he and all who love him may know the greater healing, which is the forgiveness of sins through the blood of Christ, for when the Lord comes and dwells with us, healing and pardon come as one. May he feel the healing leaves of Christ applied to his soul and body, changing and restoring him according to Your perfect wisdom and love.
We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who is our healing and our hope. Amen.
