Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your burden for your father and for bringing him to the Lord in the name of Jesus. It is right to come directly to the Father in that name. Jesus taught that He is the way to the Father, the only way, and that if you have seen Him you have seen the Father, because the Father dwells in Him and does His works through Him. The words He spoke were the Father's words and the works He did were the Father's works. When we see Jesus healing the sick and lifting up those who are fallen, we are seeing the Father's own heart at work in a needy world.
Because you have loved Jesus and have believed that He came from God, the Father Himself loves you and hears you. You do not need to come through a priest or any other mediator. Jesus said we have direct access to the Father in His name, and that promise is for you as you pray for your dad.
We join you in asking the Father for healing. We ask Him to remove all infection and inflammation from your father's body, to heal the sore on his toe, and to restore strength and health to his feet and to his kidneys. We pray that God would grant him good health according to His mercy and will.
All healing is from God, whether it comes at once or gradually through the processes He has created within our bodies and through the care He provides. We do not always understand why some are healed quickly and others more slowly, but we can trust the Father's compassion. He is like the father in the parable who watched the road for his son, full of compassion and ready to embrace him when he was still a great way off. That is the Father's heart toward you and your dad.
If your faith feels weak while you wait, you can pray honestly as the father once did who cried with tears, Lord I believe, help my unbelief. The Lord hears that honest cry.
Let us pray together. Father in heaven, we come to You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, who alone is the way to You. Thank You for revealing Yourself through Him and for loving us. We lift up this dear father to You now. Please touch his body with Your healing power. Remove infection and inflammation, heal the sore on his toe, restore his feet and his kidneys, and grant him good health. Give wisdom to those caring for him and give peace and strength to his family as they trust You. We ask this in the name of Jesus, amen.
We will continue to pray with you. Keep bringing your father before the Father with confidence, trusting in the love of Jesus who perfectly represents the Father to us.
