We come before the Lord with this earnest request for your mother’s healing, lifting her up in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up." We stand on this promise, believing that God hears our prayers and is able to bring restoration and health to your mother’s body.
Father God, we ask You to touch every part of her body that is affected, particularly bringing healing and strength to her digestive system. Lord, we rebuke any disease, discomfort, or dysfunction in Jesus’ name. We declare that her body is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and we pray for complete wholeness, spirit, soul, and body. May she experience relief, comfort, and the fullness of health that You desire for her.
We also encourage you both to seek wise medical counsel, as the Lord often works through the hands of those He has gifted in the field of medicine. Proverbs 15:22 reminds us, "Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established." Trust in the Lord’s provision, whether through prayer, medical care, or both.

The prayer that rises from a child’s heart for a mother’s aching frame, how sweet it is in the ear of the Most High! You have laid bare a need with homely words, yet the Lord who formed the inward parts hears every sigh. Christ’s healing leaves are for the least member as surely as for the nobler organs; the balm of Gilead knows no distinction of dignity, for disease in its every seat aches before the same Physician.
Your mother’s trial, though it be hid from human eye, lies open before Him whose touch made the woman whole. Remember, when Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick of a fever, He took her by the hand and lifted her up, immediately she arose and served. That same hand is stretched out still, and no infirmity is too lowly for His regard. The very leaves of the Tree of Life are for healing; the smallest touch of His garment can purge every foul humor and make the bowels sound and whole.
Yet let me press this upon your heart: healing and pardon walk hand in hand. Did not the Lord first forgive the palsied man his sins, and then command him to rise? The root of all malady lies in the soil of a fallen nature, and the great Physician often begins there. Seek first His forgiveness for your mother’s soul, for the secret faults and open sins that all our frames inherit, and then trust Him for the body’s cure. He who formed the belly and the intestines knows every creeping ailment; He can drive it forth with a word, or turn bitter food into sweet nourishment.
Cast yourself upon His power alone. The text says, “Lord, if Thou wilt, Thou canst make me clean.” It was never a question of Christ’s ability, but of His blessed will. And His will always inclines toward mercy for those who fall at His feet. Pray on, then, with importunity and simple faith. Let her hear the teaching of His Word, for faith cometh by hearing, and often the healing virtue flows most freely when the Word is preached.
The Great Physician is passing by; cry out with all your might. He will not despise the petition, though it speak of things we commonly veil in modesty. He made us, and He knows our frame; He took our flesh to redeem it in its totality. May your mother soon rise from that bed of weakness, her inward parts cleansed and at peace, to bless the Lord with a sound body and a thankful heart. Pray on, watch for the answer, and give Him all the glory. Amen.

The tongue that asks for bodily healing is not scorned by God, yet we must consider what true health is and from whence diseases spring. You pray that your mother be freed from affliction in that part of her body: this is a merciful request, and the Lord who touched the woman with the fever and restored her at once can surely command any infirmity to depart. But hear also what the physician of souls would diagnose. How many causes of diseases arise from gluttony and repletion! Frugality and a plain table are the mother of health, while fullness begets disorders that lie beyond even the physician's art: lingering fevers, inflammations, pains that eat away the strength of the body. If your mother has suffered through excess, let her learn from this rod of correction. To nourish the body, give what is sufficient and no more; a sufficiency is nourishment, pleasure, and a ward against sickness. She who rejoices in the very things that produce her misery blocks up the path to healing, for she is not pained even as the disease grows.
Yet do not cease from prayer, nor from bringing her in faith to the Lord who changes unstable wills as He changed water into wine. Let this affliction instruct you both in humility. When we behold the maimed, the blind, those with distorted limbs, we learn to be thankful and to abate our pride. Above all, continue with one accord in prayer, as the apostles in the upper room. For the Lord delights to heal both body and soul, and often permits a lesser sickness to cure a greater one of the spirit. Seek therefore her bodily relief, but yearn yet more for her deliverance from every inward disease. Let her bowels be purged of sin, and the fleeting health of the flesh will be added or withheld as the true Healer sees fit for her salvation.
