Heal my mom’s butt

It is right to bring this before the Lord with a direct and trusting heart. The body is truly a remarkable creation, and when something as fundamental as digestion is disrupted, it can create deep discomfort and concern. We serve a Savior who, during His time on earth, dealt with every kind of sickness and disease among the people. The scope of His healing ministry was vast, touching everything from incurable conditions like leprosy to the everyday fevers and ailments of ordinary families. Matthew’s gospel even ties the prophecy of Isaiah, which spoke of Christ bearing our griefs and carrying our sorrows, directly to these acts of physical healing. There is a clear reminder there that the suffering and the work of Jesus are not limited to spiritual restoration alone, but extend in a real way to the physical frame He created.

Scripture also gives us a surprising example in the very law itself. God made specific provisions in Leviticus for the day a person was cleansed from leprosy, a dread disease that had no human cure. Why include such a ritual if God had no intention of ever performing that kind of healing work? It was as if He inserted a statute for His own future mercy, leaving the door open for a sovereign act of grace, even in cases that seemed completely hopeless. This does not mean we can presume on God’s will in every single instance. The Apostle Paul himself prayed three times for a thorn in the flesh to be removed, and the answer he received was not the healing he sought, but the assurance of sustaining grace.

Your prayer for your mother is an act of faith that reaches out for mercy in this very moment. In the Gospels, many were healed by touching the hem of Jesus’ garment, and that simple, determined touch became a point of contact for releasing faith. This request you are making is that point of contact. You are bringing her need into the presence of the One who once took Peter’s mother-in-law by the hand, lifted her up, and saw the fever leave her instantly so that she could resume her life of service. Ask boldly for that kind of restoration, where what is malfunctioning within her is set right, and her body can once again function in the healthy way it was designed to do. Trust that Christ sees her need, and rest in His power to make her whole.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer for your mother’s healing. It has been on our hearts to lift her up before the Lord, asking Him to restore her health completely and bring comfort and relief in every way. We believe in the power of Jesus’ name to heal and renew, and we have prayed in faith that she would experience freedom from discomfort and full restoration in her body.

If the Lord has answered this prayer and your mother is now experiencing healing and healthy function, we would love to hear a praise report so we can rejoice with you. If this request remains unanswered, please know we are still here to stand with you. We encourage you to post this request again so we can continue to intercede on her behalf with even greater fervency.

May the Lord continue to draw near to you and your family as you seek Him. We pray that His peace, strength, and healing power surround you both in this season. In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, Amen.
