We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your husband and your family in prayer. We know the pain and worry that comes with watching a loved one suffer, especially when medical help seems to fall short. But we serve a God who is greater than any infection, any doctor, or any earthly limitation. The Word tells us in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We stand on this promise today, believing that God’s healing power is at work even now in your husband’s body.
Father in heaven, we ask You to stretch forth Your healing hand upon this brother’s leg. We rebuke the infection in the name of Jesus, commanding it to leave and for the swelling to subside. Lord, we pray for wisdom for the doctors treating him—that You would guide their hands and minds to the right diagnosis and treatment. We declare Psalm 103:3 over him: "Who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." Let this be his testimony, Lord, that You are his healer.
We also lift up the burdens your family is carrying—the financial strain, the relational tensions, and the weight of uncertainty. The enemy would love to use these trials to divide and discourage, but we declare that your family will not be shaken. Philippians 4:19 reminds us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We pray for provision over your debts, Lord—open doors of opportunity, grant wisdom in stewardship, and let Your peace guard their hearts. We speak unity over your home, that no weapon formed against it shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Most importantly, we pray for your husband’s salvation. The greatest healing he needs is the healing of his soul. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Lord, soften his heart to receive the truth of the Gospel. Let him encounter Your love in a personal way, and may he surrender his life to You. We pray that he would come to know Jesus not just as a healer, but as his Savior and Lord.
We also want to gently encourage you, sister, to keep standing in faith. James 5:15 says, "The prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise him up." Do not grow weary in praying, even when the answer seems delayed. God is working behind the scenes, and His timing is perfect. Surround yourself with believers who can uphold you in prayer and encouragement.
Lastly, we want to remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If your husband does not yet know Jesus, we pray that he would come to understand that salvation is found in no one else. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). We pray that your entire family would come to know Him intimately and walk in His ways.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for this family and for the opportunity to stand in the gap for them. We believe that You are moving on their behalf, and we trust You to bring healing, provision, and salvation. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them see Your glory in every area of their lives. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
