Your urgent cry for healing has been brought before the Lord and before His people, and we join you in seeking Him who is our healer.
We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are too painful to let us slumber in silence, and they soon urge us to seek a physician for our healing. Yet there is a greater Physician, and abundant healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. The Scripture says the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and from this we learn that the least thing about Christ is healing. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, but even the leaves, the little things about Him, are full of healing virtue. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before.
So we look to Him of whom it is written, the Sun of Righteousness has risen upon them with healing in His wings. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy, He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you. Pardon and healing were one. Healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction and both bestowed on the Lord's people. The blood of Jesus Christ, God's dear Son, cleanses us from all sin. It is through Him alone that we have pardon and access to the throne of grace, for there is salvation through Jesus Christ alone.
We pray for you now, that the Lord would lay His pardoning and healing hand upon you. May He relieve the pain on the front left side of your head, take away the sickness in your stomach, and in His wisdom reveal and address the root cause of this affliction. May He grant you relief, strength, and rest, and guide those who care for you with wisdom.
You have asked also that He would fight your battles and establish justice. We must see that He is great in justice and we must bow in penitence and honor that justice, and then we must get some thought of the greatness of His love in giving His Son to die that He might justly forgive us. He has not forgotten to be gracious, and His promise may tarry but it never fails. We ask that the Lord would contend for you, that He would do what is right and merciful in every circumstance that weighs upon you, and that He would give you peace to trust His holy will.
O you who are now sick, ask to be forgiven and healing will come from the pardoning hand. Look to Christ by faith, for faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Trust Him not only for the healing of the body, but for the healing of the soul, which is the greater mercy.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we ask for Your mercy upon this suffering one. Forgive sin, heal disease, calm the stomach, lift the headache, and let Your healing virtue flow down from the great Head to this needy member. Fight for Your child, let justice be done according to Your perfect righteousness and love, and let Your wondrous works be declared with thanksgiving. We ask this trusting in the abundant streams of healing that flow from Calvary. Amen.
