Head Injury
We join with you in lifting up your mother before the throne of grace and we bring her head injury and hospitalization before our Heavenly Father in Jesus' name.
Our hearts are moved with compassion for you and your family in this frightening time, and we ask the Lord to place His healing hand upon her. We are reminded that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, Psalm 46:1, and that He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, Psalm 147:3. We also cling to His promise, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness, Isaiah 41:10.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus and we lift up this dear mother to You. You see her fall, You know the extent of her head injury, and nothing is hidden from You. We ask that You would guide the hands and wisdom of the doctors and nurses caring for her, that You would prevent further complications, swelling, or bleeding, and that You would restore her to health. We speak Your promise over her, But I will restore you to health, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, Jeremiah 30:17. We ask for Your perfect peace to guard her and her family, to calm every anxious thought, and to give strength to those keeping watch at her bedside. We pray for a complete recovery according to Your will, that she may be restored and testify of Your mercy. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

The tidings of your mother's fall and the injury to her head have moved my heart, and I have borne your burden before the throne of grace. To have a dear mother smitten thus and laid in the hospital is a sharp affliction, and the Lord seeth the heaviness that now presseth upon you.
Hear what the Lord saith to His people in such an hour, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. He is the God of all comfort, and He delighteth to speak comfortably to those who are cast down. And again it is written, This is my comfort in my affliction, for Thy word hath quickened me. When fear riseth and the heart is faint, it is not the letter only but the Spirit blessing the Word that quickens us and so comforts us. May the Spirit of God teach you to say even now, This Word is my comfort in this present trial.
There is also abundant healing power in Jesus Christ our Lord. It is written that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. A word from His lips, a touch from His hand, brings healing to head and heart, to body and soul. He who said to the sick of the palsy, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins be forgiven thee, is still the Sun of Righteousness with healing in His wings, and He walketh still among the beds of the afflicted. The very leaves of that Tree of Life are medicine fitted to raise the dead.
Let us pray together. O gracious Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Thy Son, look in mercy upon this dear mother now lying wounded in the hospital. Lay Thy hand upon her head and heal her according to Thy good will. Staunch what is broken, calm what is troubled, and raise her up again if it please Thee. Give wisdom and tenderness to those who watch over her and minister to her, and let Thy presence be felt in that room. Comfort this sorrowing child who waits and watches, and establish the heart in every good word and work, that comfort and constancy may be blended together.
