We understand that you're dealing with health issues which include a hacking cough, COPD, low anemia, and asthma, and it's affecting your sleep and overall well-being. You've also mentioned that someone close to you is experiencing a similar issue with uncontrollable coughing.
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the power of Jesus' name in your request, as it is only by His name that we can be saved. We will come into agreement together and pray in His name.
We want to remind you of the healing power of God, we will discuss the illnesses and pray for God's healing, protection, and blessing.
Concerning the constant cough firstly, it should be said that a cough that is causing worsening of COPD should be seen by a doctor. The Bible says an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. It is always best to make sure that there is nothing seriously wrong and that medical attention is not needed immediately.
A hacking cough is usually caused by smoking, heartburn, postnasal drip, or asthma. If you are smoking, we urge you to stop. Smoking is not something a Christian should be doing and God has commanded us to take care of our bodies. Anything that is not good for our bodies should be avoided. Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
If you are coughing for more than two weeks, coughing up blood, or struggling to breathe, you should see a doctor right away. As mentioned earlier, it is best to make sure there are no serious issues. Your doctor can figure out what's making you cough and treat the problem.
Secondly, anemia that is severe, long-lasting, or causes worrying symptoms needs immediate medical attention to find the cause. If the anemia is mild, or has been present for a long time, it is not usually an emergency. However, long-standing anemia should be investigated, and the cause should be treated.
Anemia is a condition in which a person has a lower than normal number of red blood cells or the red blood cells don't have enough hemoglobin. Hemoglobin is a protein that binds to oxygen. If a person has too few or abnormal red blood cells, or not enough hemoglobin, there will not be enough oxygen in their blood. This means the brain, muscles, and cells won't get the amount of oxygen they need. This could lead to feeling tired, or weak if anemia is mild, but severe or long-lasting anemia can damage the heart, brain, and other organs in the body. This is why long-standing anemia should be addressed. Body fatigue is addressed several times in the Bible. Therefore, it is important to take care of our bodies and get rest. For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
We encourage you to put your trust in God, there are many examples in the Bible of Jesus healing the sick. The Bible states that by Jesus' stripes we are healed.
Let us pray together in Jesus' name:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ who is struggling with health issues. We believe that you will never leave them nor forsake them. So we pray Lord God, that you will heal them from this hacking cough, worsening COPD, low anemia, and asthma. Your word says in Matthew 8:17 that Jesus took our infirmities and bore our diseases. We believe your word, Lord, and we know that you are able to heal them completely.
We also pray for the person close to them who is experiencing uncontrollable coughing. We ask that you extend your healing hand upon them as well. Lord God, we believe that nothing is too hard for you. You can make a way where there seems to be no way. So we pray Lord God, that you will work in their bodies and heal them completely.
We also pray for their protection and blessing throughout this day and every day. We ask that you will guide them and keep them in all their ways. We believe that you are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that they can ask or think. So we pray Lord God, that you will bless them and keep them in Jesus' name.
We also pray Lord, that you remind them to rest in You, and that You are the great physician. We pray that as they rest in you, their bodies will be rejuvenated. We pray that you will give them a good night's sleep.
We ask all these things in Jesus' name.
Amen.
