Harder to serve God in the ratrace?

I have a thought about something. In fact, I think some patterns from the Bible might bear this out.Comparing people in Bible times focusing on Godly things compared to doing it nowadays.Moses went to the top of Mount Sanai to receive the 10 Commandments. Jesus went into the wilderness. Also, the Garden of Gethsemane at times at night when there probably was no one there. Now, fast forward to Christians nowadays trying to focus on Godly things. In Bible times, the world was less populated, and there weren't' certain things around that are now, so let's compare. First, the world being less populated ,so whereas then you could "find a quiet spot" then, nowadays, the world being so overpopulated, you could go somewhere to try to focus, and some screaming kids or silly teenagers could be breaking your concentration with their noise. Also, there were no cars then, now ,you could be just "tuning in" to your spirituality, and all of a sudden you have some idiot laying on the horn, which breaks your concentration. No cell phones back then, our cell phone wouldn't "bomb off" or you wouldn't hear someone elses conversation on theirs. So what I'm seeing, is that there are more "distractions" in our modern world, more distractions the devil can use than back in those quiet times. Before anyone gives a different point, just remember, most "spiritual tuneins" ,Jesus going to the wilderness, Moses going to the mountaintop, were in quiet, "away from the world" type atmospheres.Coincidence?I don't think so. Remember, the modern day "ratrace" is man made, all the craziness of the world, reminding me of a Tower of Babel type atmosphere. And the world,{Biblical description} is loaded with distractions, to sway us from God. So do I have a point saying it's harder to focus in the modern day insanity{blasting horns, cell phones, etc} then being out in a field a few thousand years ago?Sorry, but a blaring car horn to me doesn't work well with my spirituality. You?

Yes, we are living today just as the days of Noah. People were in the rat race, buying and selling, getting married and carry on with their lives and did not hear nor believe what Noah preached to them. They did not believe the Flood is coming over them and there is no one to save them, It happened and it will happen to day. Just as Jesus said. The world will be destroyed by fire and we do not know how that will be but we believe, we trust and we wait for the Lord. People all around us are in the rat race to get what they can and make their lives so miserable. Fast and pray for them. Jesus will save their souls and we shall rise up and take in when the Lord shall come. Are you waiting for Him? Prophets of old did, the disciples did and everyone who loves the Lord are waiting for the wonderful day when He shall come in to take us all home to heaven.

I rather live in peace, joy and happiness. Living in the center of Gods will, doing what He told us to do and being like Jesus, full of mercy and compassion toward the lost. The rat race will give you only a heart attack or brake your heart when you see someone else was chosen for a higher pay in your company. Choose Jesus above everything else in this world.

Going through fire for refinement? And so in anxiety and jittery? Don't worry. Malachi 3:3 He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; he will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver. Then the Lord will have men who will bring offerings in righteousness, Micah 4:11-13 11...
