Good and Faithful Servant
I have posted before about experiencing harassment by people who were doing so under the influence of demons that came into my life when I was in the new age. Well, God has helped me see that problems with unforgiveness kept these demons being able to harass me. After this, I began to theorize that making peace with these people who have been harassing me was the key to finally putting an end to this demonic harassment and have been trying to do so. Please pray for me about this. This is not going to be an easy or simple process as harmful things have been done on both my end and theirs and reaching out to reconcile has been nerve wrecking for me. There is also demonic activity involved affecting these people and causing them to behave out of the ordinary way they usually would in very evil ways in addition to some of them being unsaved/deceived by false teachings which could also impact how they respond to me. This has also caused concerns for me as I reach out. Thank you.

We thank you for sharing this update with us and we rejoice that God has shown you the area of unforgiveness in your heart, for this is a vital revelation. We have been praying for you and we continue to stand with you in Jesus' name as you seek freedom and peace.

We agree that unforgiveness can give a foothold to the enemy. Scripture warns us not to let the sun go down on our wrath and not to give place to the devil in Ephesians 4:26-27. The Lord Jesus also teaches us in Matthew 6:14-15 that if we forgive men their trespasses, our heavenly Father will also forgive us, but if we do not forgive, our Father will not forgive our trespasses. Forgiveness is not a feeling but an act of obedience where we release the debt and entrust justice to God. We also want to lovingly rebuke and remind you that your involvement in the new age opened doors to these demonic influences. God calls all such practices abomination and commands us to have nothing to do with them as seen in Deuteronomy 18:10-12 and Ephesians 5:11. If you have not already done so, we urge you to fully repent of and renounce every new age practice, teaching and object, confess it to God in 1 John 1:9, and close those doors completely through the blood of Jesus. When we confess and forsake sin, God is faithful to cleanse us.

Your desire to make peace is commendable and biblical, and we understand why this feels nerve wracking after harm has been done on both sides. We are called in Romans 12:18 that if it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. And we are called to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us in Matthew 5:44. However we want to gently correct the idea that reconciliation alone will automatically end demonic harassment. True freedom comes not from the response of other people, but from your position in Christ. Forgiveness can and must be given even if the other person never repents, while reconciliation requires repentance and safety on both sides and is not always possible or wise to pursue directly if it would expose you to further harm or deception. Forgiveness releases you, reconciliation restores relationship when God makes it possible. We encourage you to forgive from the heart as in Ephesians 4:32, and then seek wisdom from mature believers and a pastor before reaching out, so that any attempt at peacemaking is led by the Holy Spirit and not by pressure or fear. Remember our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places in Ephesians 6:12, so we must not view these people only as enemies but as souls who may themselves be captive and in need of Christ, some unsaved and deceived as you noted.

We also noticed you spoke of God but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your request, and we must lovingly address this because it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12 there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Our authority over every demonic harassment is found only in Him, for He has delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love in Colossians 1:13. We urge you to ensure you have placed your faith fully in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, confessing Him as Lord as in Romans 10:9. When you submit to God and resist the devil in James 4:7, the enemy must flee, because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world in 1 John 4:4.

We pray together for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You on behalf of our dear brother or sister. We thank You for revealing the need to forgive and we ask You to give them grace to forgive fully from the heart as You have forgiven them. We ask You to help them to renounce and turn away completely from every remnant of the new age and to cleanse them by the blood of Jesus. We pray You would close every door that was opened to the enemy and fill every place in their heart with Your Holy Spirit and Your peace that surpasses all understanding in Philippians 4:7. Lord, give them wisdom about peacemaking, show them when to speak and when to remain apart, and protect them from further harm and deception. We rebuke every demonic influence that has harassed them and we declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper because they are in Christ. Help them to put on the whole armor of God in Ephesians 6:10-18 and to stand firm in faith. Give them courage where there is anxiety, and let them know they are not alone. Lead those who have harassed them to repentance and salvation, and let Your will be done in every relationship. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior and Deliverer, amen.

We encourage you to remain daily in the Word, in prayer, and in fellowship with a Bible believing church where you can receive ongoing counsel and accountability. Do not walk this path alone. Continue to pray for those who have harmed you, bless them, and release them to God, trusting that He will handle justice in His perfect way. If reconciliation is possible, let it be with clear boundaries, humility, and a readiness to speak the truth in love, without returning to old patterns or false teachings. We are trusting God with you for complete freedom, healing, and peace as you walk in obedience and in the victory that is already yours in Christ.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

We hear how heavy and tangled this feels for you. Wanting to make peace after hurt on both sides takes real courage, and it makes sense that reaching out feels nerve wracking, especially when you are worried about how people will respond and what spiritual influences may be at work.

We appreciate your honesty about seeing the role unforgiveness has played and your desire to walk in a different way. One insight that helps many people is that the work God does in our own heart to release resentment and the decision to reestablish contact with someone are related but not the same. The first is between you and the Lord and can happen even at a distance. The second involves another person's willingness, timing and safety, and it does not have to happen all at once or with everyone to be faithful.

It may help to slow the process down and not carry it alone. We encourage you to bring one trusted pastor or mature believer into the details before you reach out further, someone who knows you, can pray with you in person, help you discern which relationship if any is wise to approach next, and help you set clear boundaries for what contact looks like so you are protected.

We are holding you in prayer.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus name. Bring healing where there has been hurt, guard their heart and mind in Christ, grant clear wisdom for each step and conversation, and surround them with safe, godly support. Lead them in Your peace and keep them close to You. Amen.

Your honest and painful request has been heard with care, and we thank you for sharing so openly the weight you carry. To have come out of the darkness of the new age and to feel yet the harassing of the enemy is a sore trial, and to see also your own need of forgiveness is a work of grace. We will pray for you, and we would point you to the only sure ground of peace.

There is forgiveness with God, and that truth must be your first comfort. As the prophet declares, I even I am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake. It is a divine forgiveness, not the forgiveness of man which you may or may not obtain, but the forgiveness of the Lord Himself, surprising and complete. Whatever your past has been in that former way, however great the sin, there is forgiveness with Him through Jesus Christ His Son. He not only forgave at the first all your sins when you trusted Christ, but He continues daily to forgive, and that forgiveness is eternal and perfect, because it rests upon the ransom found. God Himself has said, I have found a ransom, and that ransom is His own Son who bore the penalty for all who are going down to the pit. Your deliverance therefore is not of him that wills nor of him that runs, but of God that showeth mercy. He brought them forth with silver and gold when the lamb was slain, and He alone brings forth His people now from bondage.

This shapes how you are to think about forgiving others and seeking peace. Because you have in Christ so full and free a forgiveness, you are called to a joint stock business of mutual forgiveness, forgiving one another even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. That forgiveness in your heart is a command and a blessing, and we pray God will work it deeply in you, that you may release every debt as you have been released from your own great debt.

Yet that forgiveness in the heart is not the same as reconciliation in every case, nor is deliverance from demonic harassment secured by appeasing those who have harmed you. Do not think that if you can only make peace with these people, the enemy will then be bound. The enemy is overcome not by our management of men, but by the power of God and the blood of the Lamb. While Scripture says as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men, that peace must be sought with wisdom, with safety, and with counsel. If harmful things have been done on both sides, and if some remain unsaved or deceived by false teaching and behave in evil ways, your reaching out may not be received, and it may expose you to further harm. Forgiveness can be real before God even when trust cannot be restored and fellowship cannot be resumed without repentance and change.

We counsel you to walk in these steps with your pastors or mature believers who know you, not alone. Bring them into what you are considering, seek their discernment about any contact, and maintain clear boundaries for your protection. Continue to turn from every remnant of the new age and to cling to Christ alone for salvation and deliverance, for there is no other name by which we are saved and no other power by which we are delivered. Pray for those who have harassed you, that God would have mercy upon them also and bring them to the light, but look for your deliverance to the Lord Himself.

We pray now for you.

Our Father, we come through Jesus Christ Thy Son, in whom there is forgiveness. We thank Thee that Thou art He that blotteth out transgression for Thine own sake, and that Thou hast found a ransom. We ask for this dear soul, grant a deeper assurance of that complete and eternal forgiveness, and a heart enabled to forgive as Thou hast forgiven. Deliver from the archers of darkness by Thy mighty hand, for Thou alone canst bring forth from bondage. Give wisdom beyond human wisdom, guard from fear and from rash steps, provide godly counsel and safe fellowship, and let no weapon formed against Thy child prosper. Cause the light of Christ to shine also upon those who do evil and who are yet unsaved, that they may be brought to repentance. Keep this one close to the cross, in peace within Thy borders, and make the song of deliverance to be heard again. In the name of Jesus our Redeemer, Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for sharing this so openly and for letting us pray with you again. What you are describing is heavy and painful, and it is understandable that reaching out to seek peace feels nerve wracking when harm has been done on both sides and you are also concerned about spiritual influences at work.

It is good that God has shown you the importance of dealing with unforgiveness. Scripture teaches that we come to God asking for forgiveness for much greater debts than what others owe us, and we are trained as we forgive to become gentle and more like Christ. There is a deep blessedness in being forgiven, where shame is removed and glory is given by grace, not because we have earned it. When we mourn over our own sins, God does not only remove punishment but comforts us and gives far more than our labor deserves. Holding onto that forgiveness you have received in Christ can help free your heart, even as you seek to forgive others.

Your desire to make peace is right and Christlike, for God has put in us the word of reconciliation through Jesus who became our High Priest to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. At the same time, forgiveness in your heart before God and reconciliation with other people are not always the same thing. Forgiveness is something God calls you to offer freely, as you have been forgiven. Reconciliation depends also on the other person, on truth, repentance, and safety, and it is not always possible or wise to pursue it in the same way with everyone. Scripture says, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with all, which also means recognizing when the other person may not respond well, especially if they are still deceived or hostile.

Because you mentioned past involvement in the new age and ongoing harassment, keep turning fully to Christ alone for salvation and protection, leaving those old practices behind and not seeking spiritual help outside of Him. The evil one seeks to bring shame and fear, but Christ is greater, and your safety is in Him. It would be wise not to walk this path alone. Please involve a trusted pastor or mature believers in your church who know you, can give you counsel, pray with you in person, and help you discern how and when to reach out, what boundaries are needed, and when distance is necessary for your safety. Forgiving does not require putting yourself back into a harmful situation or pretending that wrong was not wrong.

We will pray for you.

Father, we thank You that forgiveness and covering of sins comes by Your grace through Jesus Christ alone. We ask You to comfort this dear one who mourns over sin and wants to walk in Your way. Grant a deeper assurance of being forgiven and cleansed, and teach a gentle and forgiving heart. Give wisdom and discernment for each relationship and each conversation, and provide godly counsel and protection. Where peace can be made, make it possible, and where it cannot, guard this life from fear and from the influence of evil. Help this dear one to abide in Christ, to stand firm in Your truth, and to know Your consolation that is greater than any sorrow. In Jesus name we ask this, amen.
