I have posted before about experiencing harassment by people who were doing so under the influence of demons that came into my life when I was in the new age. Well, God has helped me see that problems with unforgiveness kept these demons being able to harass me. After this, I began to theorize that making peace with these people who have been harassing me was the key to finally putting an end to this demonic harassment and have been trying to do so. Please pray for me about this. This is not going to be an easy or simple process as harmful things have been done on both my end and theirs and there is also demonic activity involved affecting these people and causing them to behave out of the ordinary way they usually would in addition to some of them being unsaved/deceived by false teachings which could also impact how they respond to me. We have heard your request and we thank you for sharing so honestly with us again, and we are standing with you in prayer as you walk through this difficult season of harassment and spiritual oppression. We rejoice that God has helped you see the connection between unforgiveness and the ongoing harassment, because Scripture warns us very clearly not to give the devil a place, as it says in Ephesians 4:27, and to forgive as we have been forgiven.
We want to lovingly and firmly address the root you mentioned. Involvement in the new age is not harmless spirituality but idolatry and fellowship with darkness that opens doors to demonic influence, and God calls us to turn away from it completely. We are called to renounce those former practices, to confess them as sin, and to close every door that was opened. As it is written in 1 John 1:9, if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. And in Acts 19:19 we see believers who had practiced magic openly confessing and burning their books to forsake those ways entirely. We encourage you to make a full renunciation before the Lord of every new age teaching, object, or practice, and to destroy anything that remains connected to it, so that no foothold remains.
We also hear your heart to make peace with those who have harassed you, and that desire is biblical. The Lord Jesus teaches us in Matthew 6:14-15 that if we forgive men their trespasses, our heavenly Father will also forgive us, but if we do not forgive, we will not be forgiven. We are commanded to forgive from the heart as in Colossians 3:13 and Ephesians 4:32, just as Christ forgave us. At the same time, forgiveness and reconciliation are not exactly the same. Forgiveness is a choice of obedience we make before God whether the other person repents or not, while peace and restored relationship require repentance and safety on both sides. The Word says in Romans 12:18, if it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. We encourage you to pursue peace with humility and with wisdom, not by putting yourself back into harmful situations or by believing you must earn deliverance through appeasing people. Some of these individuals may be unsaved and deceived and under demonic influence, and while we pray for their salvation, we also must use discernment, set godly boundaries, and seek counsel from mature believers and pastors as you attempt any contact.
We understand you are experiencing real spiritual warfare. We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places as Ephesians 6:12 teaches. Our weapons are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds in 2 Corinthians 10:4. We have authority not in ourselves but in Christ, for greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world in 1 John 4:4, and when we submit ourselves to God and resist the devil, he will flee from us in James 4:7. That resistance includes daily putting on the whole armor of God in Ephesians 6:11, staying rooted in the Word, prayer, and obedience, and walking in forgiveness and repentance.
We noticed your request spoke of God but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we must lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and deliverance from the enemy. Jesus himself said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. It is by calling on the name of Jesus, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are saved, forgiven, and given authority over darkness. We ask You to fill every place once occupied by darkness with Your Holy Spirit, Your peace, and Your light. Lord, clothe our dear one with Your full armor, guard the mind and heart, and let no weapon formed against them prosper. Grant wisdom for every step toward making peace, when to speak, when to remain silent, and when to set boundaries, and let Your will be done in each relationship. We pray for those who have done the harassing, that You would open their eyes, deliver them from deception and demonic influence, and draw them to salvation in Jesus. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who is our deliverer and our peace, and trust that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ in Philippians 1:6.

There is a word that meets your case with certainty, that there is forgiveness with God. As the Scripture says, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake. This is a divine forgiveness, a surprising forgiveness, a complete forgiveness. Where God draws no limit, we must draw none. Though your past in the new age opened a door to darkness, and though sins have been committed on both sides, there is forgiveness for every sin through Jesus Christ alone. He not only forgave at the first, but He continues daily to forgive, and that forgiveness is eternal, purchased by the blood of the Lamb. When the Lamb was slain, deliverance was wrought, for it is not of him that wills nor of him that runs, but of God that showeth mercy. He has found a ransom, and therefore deliverance from the pit is certain for all who trust in Christ.
You are right to see that unforgiveness gives place to the enemy, and that we are called to a joint work of mutual forgiveness, forgiving one another even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven us.
