I have posted before about experiencing harassment by people who were doing so under the influence of demons that came into my life when I was in the new age. Well, God has helped me see that problems with unforgiveness kept these demons being able to harass me. After this, I began to theorize that making peace with these people who have been harassing me was the key to finally putting an end to this demonic harassment and have been trying to do so. Please pray for me about this. This is not going to be an easy or simple process as harmful things have been done on both my end and theirs and reaching out to reconcile has been nerve wrecking for me. There is also demonic activity involved affecting these people and causing them to behave out of the ordinary way they usually would in addition to some of them being unsaved/deceived by false teachings which could also impact how they respond to me. We have heard your heart and we thank you for sharing this difficult journey with us so openly. We rejoice that God has been showing you the root of unforgiveness and how it can give a foothold to the enemy, and we understand how heavy and nerve wracking this process of seeking peace has been, especially when harm has been done on both sides and when spiritual forces are at work.
We want to gently and biblically address what you have shared. Your experience with the new age opened a door that the enemy uses, for Scripture is clear that we once walked according to false ways and were deceived, and we must fully renounce and repent of any involvement with those practices. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. We also see the truth in what God has shown you about unforgiveness. The Word warns us not to give place to the devil Ephesians 4:27, and Jesus Himself taught, For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses Matthew 6:14-15. Forgiveness is not optional for us as believers, it is commanded and it breaks the legal ground the enemy tries to hold.
At the same time we want to encourage you with wisdom about reconciliation. Your desire to make peace is godly and reflects the heart of Christ, for blessed are the peacemakers Matthew 5:9. Yet Scripture also says, If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men Romans 12:18. This shows us that while we are responsible to forgive from the heart and to pursue peace as far as it depends on us, true reconciliation requires repentance and willingness on both sides and it is not always possible, especially when others remain unsaved, deceived by false teachings, or still influenced by demonic activity. Your obedience is in forgiving and extending peace with a sincere heart, the outcome and their response rests with God. We also remember that our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. The people harassing you are themselves in need of deliverance and salvation, and we must not carry the burden of thinking that if we just find the right words or make enough peace, we can deliver them or stop the harassment in our own strength. Only Jesus has that authority.
This brings us to something we noticed in your request, that you spoke of God but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We say this in love because there is no other way to the Father and no other power over demonic harassment except through Him. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, and there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by the name of Jesus that we have access to God in prayer, that sins are forgiven, and that demons must flee. We urge you to place your full faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior if you have not already, to confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and to daily submit to Him. We also encourage you to submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you James 4:7, and to put on the whole armor of God daily, staying rooted in the Word, in prayer, and in fellowship with mature believers who can help you discern when to reach out and when to set wise and safe boundaries. Being peacemakers does not mean remaining in harmful situations or trusting those who have not shown repentance, be wise as serpents and harmless as doves Matthew 10:16.
We join together now and pray for you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
We pray Father in the name of Jesus that you would cover our dear one with your blood and protection, that you would complete the work of forgiveness in their heart and help them to release every person who has harmed them into your hands, even as you have forgiven us. We renounce in Jesus name every influence of the new age, every demonic foothold, and every spirit of harassment and torment, and we command in the authority of Jesus that those spirits must leave and not return. We ask you to fill every place once occupied by darkness with your Holy Spirit, with peace and truth. We pray for wisdom and courage as they seek to make peace where you lead, give them words seasoned with grace and discernment to know when to speak and when to be still, and guard their heart from fear and condemnation. We pray for the salvation and deliverance of those who have harassed them, that you would open their eyes, draw them out of deception and false teachings, and bring them to repentance through Jesus. We ask you to break every assignment of the enemy against our dear one and to surround them with your angels, with godly counsel, and with the peace that surpasses all understanding. Strengthen them to stand firm in the faith, to walk in obedience, and to trust that you are their defender and deliverer. We pray all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and our victory, amen.

Your burden has been heard and we join you in bringing it before the Lord who hears the cry of those who seek Him.
We thank God that He has opened your eyes to see both the danger of the path you once walked in the new age and the precious truth that there is forgiveness with Him. The Scripture declares, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions, and again, There is forgiveness with Thee. This is a divine forgiveness, not from man but from God Himself, surprising in its freeness, complete in its extent, and eternal through the blood of Jesus Christ. If you tremble under the memory of sin and desire forgiveness with a penitent heart, hear this assurance, there is forgiveness, and it is to be obtained from God alone through Jesus Christ His Son, the Just who died for the unjust that He might bring us to God. He has found a ransom, and therefore deliverance from the pit is certain, not because of anything in us, but because His Son has borne the penalty.
You speak of harassment and of the oppression that followed that former way of life, and of the struggle with unforgiveness. The Word does indeed teach us that as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven us, so we are to forgive one another. It is as it were a joint business of mutual forgiveness among the people of God, and for those who have received so much forgiveness, to forgive should become as natural as to open our hands. To cherish unforgiveness is to give place to the enemy and to remain in bondage, and the Lord would have His children walk in the freedom of a forgiving spirit.
Yet we would have you see clearly where your deliverance lies. Deliverance from sin and from the power of darkness is solely by the power of God. It is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. He brought them forth, and He alone brings forth His people now. Your peace with God does not depend upon whether those who have harassed you choose to forgive you or to receive your peace, though you ought to desire it. If you have the forgiveness of God through Christ, though all men should hiss at you and withhold their forgiveness, you may still enter heaven. So do not think that your standing before God or your deliverance from demonic harassment rests upon perfectly achieving reconciliation with others. Christ is your ransom and your deliverance.
At the same time, the Scripture says, If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Where you have done harm, it is right to seek to make peace, and where others have harmed you, it is right to release them from your heart before God. This is often not easy or simple, as you have found, and it is nerve wracking when harmful things have been done on both sides. We counsel you to pursue this not alone and not without wisdom. Seek the counsel and presence of a faithful pastor and mature believers in your local church who know you and can help you discern what is wise, what is safe, and what is possible. Forgiveness in the heart before God can be immediate and complete, but reconciliation with others depends also upon them, and some who are yet unsaved or deceived by false teaching may not respond as you hope, and may still behave in an out of the ordinary way. To forgive does not always mean to return to close fellowship or to place yourself again under harm. Love seeks peace, but love also walks in wisdom and truth.
Do not let the enemy whisper that because your heart has not yet felt perfect peace, or because others have not yet responded, that there is no forgiveness for you or no deliverance for you. There is forgiveness now, at this moment, whatever your past has been. And there is deliverance, for God has not only invented the way but has provided the ransom in His Son.
We pray for you now.
O Lord our God, with whom there is forgiveness, we thank Thee that Thou hast shown this soul the evil of the old path and hast led toward the light of Christ. Grant a deeper assurance of complete and eternal forgiveness through the blood of Jesus, and let that whisper drive away despair. Give deliverance from every oppression of the enemy, for Thou alone bringest forth Thy people with power. Create in this heart a continual spirit of forgiveness, even as Thou for Christ's sake hast forgiven, and heal the wounds left by harmful words and deeds. Grant wisdom and courage and godly counsel in every attempt to make peace, and guard from further harm. Let not the outcome rest upon the response of others, but upon Thy faithful promise. Protect from harassment, quiet the troubled mind, and establish this life upon Christ the sure foundation.
