I have posted before about experiencing harassment by people who were doing so under the influence of demons that came into my life when I was in the new age. Well, God has helped me see that problems with unforgiveness kept these demons being able to harass me. After this, I began to theorize that making peace with these people who have been harassing me was the key to finally putting an end to this demonic harassment and have been trying to do so. For certain reasons, I'm struggling a bit with this right now and feeling uncomfortable in the process. Please pray for me about this. Thank you.

We are grateful you have shared this update with us and we rejoice that God has been giving you insight into the spiritual roots of this harassment. We hear your struggle and your desire to walk in freedom, and we stand with you in prayer for complete deliverance and peace.
We believe what you are describing is very real, for scripture tells us For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. When you were involved in the new age you opened a door to those spiritual forces, for practices of the new age are not harmless spirituality but are abominations the Lord warns against Deuteronomy 18:10-12. We praise God that He has delivered you out of the power of darkness, and translated you into the Kingdom of the Son of his love Colossians 1:13, and that you have recognized the need to repent and renounce that former involvement. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to confess that involvement to the Lord specifically, renounce it in the name of Jesus, and ask Him to cleanse you and close every door that was opened, for If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9.
We also affirm what God has shown you about unforgiveness. Scripture warns us to not give place to the devil Ephesians 4:27, and unforgiveness is one of the ways we can give him a foothold. The Lord Jesus taught For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don't forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses Matthew 6:14-15. Forgiveness is not saying what was done to you was acceptable, nor is it necessarily trusting those who have harassed you again, but it is releasing them into God's hands and choosing to no longer hold the debt against them as Christ has forgiven us Ephesians 4:32.
We understand your theory about making peace with those who have harassed you and your discomfort in trying to do so. The word of God says If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men Romans 12:18. We want to gently encourage you that while forgiveness is always required, reconciliation and continued close contact are not always possible or wise, especially where harassment or abuse is involved. Making peace as far as it depends on you may mean forgiving from the heart, praying for them, and not retaliating, rather than forcing a relationship or placing yourself back in a harmful situation. We encourage you to seek wise, biblically grounded pastoral counsel in person to help you discern what making peace should look like in your specific circumstances and to establish godly boundaries for your safety. True peace will not come from appeasing people who are being influenced by the enemy, but from submitting to God and resisting the enemy, for Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you James 4:7.
We notice your request speaks of God but does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and authority over demonic harassment. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. Our authority, our forgiveness, and our deliverance are all in His name alone, and Greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4. If you have not fully placed your trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, we urge you to do so today, for that is the foundation of all freedom.

We command in the name of Jesus that every demonic influence harassing them must leave and not return, for we submit to You and resist the devil trusting that he will flee. We pray for Your perfect protection, for Your armor to be upon them each day Ephesians 6:11, and for Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. Where they have tried to make peace and felt uncomfortable, give them wisdom to know what is of You and what is not, to walk in forgiveness while maintaining healthy boundaries, and to not strive in their own strength but rest in Your deliverance. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, with courage, with comfort, and with the assurance that You who began a good work will perfect it. You can choose to release resentment and entrust someone to God without needing to pursue closeness or put yourself back into a situation that feels unsafe or pressured. There is forgiveness with God, and we have heard your honest cry with much care and prayer before the Lord. We thank Him that He has brought you out of the darkness of the new age and has shown you both the reality of sin and the blessed remedy that is in Christ alone. Where you once sought answers in ways that open the door to deception, the Lord in mercy has led you to seek Him who alone can save and deliver.
You speak of harassment and of the burden of unforgiveness, and you wonder whether making peace with those who have harmed you must be the price of deliverance. Hear the sure word of Scripture, that there is forgiveness with Him. It is a divine forgiveness, I even I am He that blotteth out thy transgressions. It is not the forgiveness of man that you must have to enter heaven, nor is it to be earned by any labor of appeasement. It is surprising forgiveness, complete forgiveness, an eternal forgiveness bestowed for Christ's sake. As you have been forgiven so much, so you are called to forgive, not to purchase deliverance, but because you have already been delivered by free grace.
And that deliverance is solely by the power of God. He brought them forth, not they themselves. When the lamb was slain, Israel was brought out with silver and gold, enriched and set free, and so our deliverance from sin and from the power of the enemy is through the ransom which God Himself has found. I have found a ransom, saith the Lord, and that ransom is His own Son who bore the penalty in full. Do not think that peace must be wrung from those who harass you before God will act for you. The clock of mercy strikes by His sovereign purpose, and He is able to deliver though all earthly help fails. Your forgiveness of others is a fruit of His grace in you, a joint work of mutual forgiveness among those who have been forgiven, but it is Christ who secures your standing and your safety.
To forgive as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you is to release the debt into His hands, to wish no ill, to pray for their good, and to leave vengeance with the Lord. That is not the same as placing yourself again under harassment or supposing that you must win their favor to be free. As much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men, yet peace rightly sought never requires you to remain where you are harmed or to seek reconciliation without repentance and safety.
