We hear your cry for deliverance and stand with you in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already disarmed the powers and principalities through His victory on the cross. The harassment you describe is not merely human opposition, it is spiritual warfare, and we take it seriously. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you might have life abundantly (John 10:10). The demonic activity you’ve witnessed, parroting unspoken thoughts, knowing hidden details, fleeing at the mention of prayer, reveals the depth of the battle, but also the power of God to expose and dismantle these schemes.
First, we must address the foundation of your defense. You mentioned turning back to Christ after involvement in the occult, and this is critical. The Bible is clear: "No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other" (Matthew 6:24). Your past involvement in witchcraft and the new age opened doors to spiritual oppression, but your repentance and return to Christ have closed those doors. We rebuke in Jesus’ name every legal right the enemy claims over you because of those past sins. The blood of Jesus cleanses you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:7), and we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
The harassment you’ve endured is a tactic of the enemy to wear you down, isolate you, and tempt you back into old patterns. But God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). The fact that these individuals flee when you pray is evidence of the authority you carry in Christ. We encourage you to continue standing firm in that authority, not in your own strength, but in the name of Jesus. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). You are not fighting against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12), and the weapons of your warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4).
We also want to address your shift in prayer from reconciliation to removal. While reconciliation is a biblical principle (Matthew 5:23-24), it is not required when the other party persists in unrepentant sin, harassment, or demonic influence. Jesus Himself taught that if someone refuses to hear the church, they are to be treated as a pagan or a tax collector (Matthew 18:17), meaning, they are to be removed from fellowship. Your desire for these individuals to be out of your life is not ungodly; it is a recognition of the reality of spiritual warfare and the need for boundaries. Proverbs 22:24-25 warns, "Make no friendship with a man given to anger, nor go with a wrathful man, lest you learn his ways and entangle yourself in a snare." How much more should we avoid those who are actively used by the enemy to harass and oppress?
We rebuke the retaliation you mentioned. The enemy seeks to provoke you, but we declare that no plot formed against you shall stand (Isaiah 54:15). The thing they plotted at the beginning of the year to cause you emotional distress, especially during your graduation, is already canceled in Jesus’ name. We declare that God will turn their schemes into foolishness (1 Corinthians 1:19) and that your graduation will stand as a testimony to His faithfulness and protection. You have worked hard for this milestone, and the enemy will not steal your joy or overshadow this time. We pray that God would surround you with His peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
You mentioned that none of these individuals are Christians. This is a sobering reminder of the reality of spiritual warfare. The Bible warns that the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one (1 John 5:19), and those who are not in Christ are vulnerable to demonic influence. We pray for their salvation, but we also recognize that your primary responsibility is to guard your own heart and walk in wisdom. "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). Your desire to distance yourself from them is not only wise but necessary for your spiritual well-being.
We also want to address the temptation to return to the occult. The enemy’s goal is to wear you down to the point where you feel like giving up or turning back to what is familiar. But we declare that God has not brought you this far to abandon you. He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6). When the enemy whispers lies, we encourage you to counter them with the truth of God’s Word. Memorize scriptures that speak to your identity in Christ and the authority you have over the enemy. Speak them aloud, for "the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword" (Hebrews 4:12). The enemy flees at the name of Jesus and the truth of His Word.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name at which every knee shall bow. We thank You for Your faithfulness to [redacted], for drawing them out of darkness and into Your marvelous light. Lord, we stand in the gap for them today, declaring that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. We rebuke every spirit of harassment, oppression, and retaliation in Jesus’ name. We cancel every plot and scheme of the enemy designed to cause emotional distress, steal joy, or overshadow this season of celebration. Father, we ask that You would expose and dismantle every demonic assignment against them. Let Your light shine into the darkness, and let every hidden thing be brought to nothing.
Lord, we pray for divine protection over [redacted]. Surround them with Your angels, as You promised in Psalm 91:11, "For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways." Shield their mind from fear, anxiety, and the lies of the enemy. Fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and let it guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We declare that they are more than a conqueror through Him who loves them (Romans 8:37). Strengthen them in their inner being, that Christ may dwell in their heart through faith, and that they may be rooted and grounded in love (Ephesians 3:16-17).
Father, we ask that You would deal with those who are harassing them. We pray that their eyes would be opened to the truth of who You are and that they would turn from darkness to light. If it is Your will, bring conviction and repentance, but if not, we ask that You would remove them from [redacted]’s life completely. We declare that every stumbling block is removed, and that [redacted] walks in the freedom and victory that Christ purchased for them on the cross. We pray that You would restore to them the years that the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25) and turn their mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11).
Lord, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for [redacted]. Help them to recognize the enemy’s tactics and to stand firm in the armor of God. Clothe them with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word (Ephesians 6:13-17). Teach them to wield the authority they have in Christ and to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Finally, Father, we ask that You would fill [redacted] with Your love and joy. Let them know that they are deeply loved by You, and that nothing can separate them from Your love (Romans 8:38-39). Renew their strength, and let them mount up with wings like eagles, run and not be weary, walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31). We declare that this season is a testimony of Your faithfulness, and that the enemy’s plans will not prevail.
We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing firm in your faith, trusting that God is fighting for you. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). The battle is already won, and the victory is yours in Christ. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). You are not alone in this fight, we stand with you, and more importantly, God stands with you. His presence goes before you, and His angels encamp around you (Psalm 34:7). Walk in the freedom and authority that is yours in Christ, and do not let the enemy steal your peace or joy. God is faithful, and He will complete the work He has begun in you.
