Jesus wants all who love Him in His house of prayer. He said. My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations. What is the meaning of going to church each Sunday? Is it a waste of time?
Well, for me personally church is the following.....
a. Church is my college. I get a heavenly education right there. The pastor full of the Holy Spirit and full of prayer teach us how to live a holy lilfe before the Lord and before others.
B. Heaven is my university. I am going to graduate for eternity. Our goal in life is to end up there, with Jesus forever. Degrees for ever. A Crown of life God shall give to those who were faithful to the end.
c. Jesus Christ is my principal. He is the One who directs and leads my life. Whe I am doing something wrong, He corrects me and tells me to keep going on. The road ahead is rough but I am with you always.... He said to me...
d. The Holy Spirit is our teacher. He give us wisdom from heaven. He is Comforter who will not leave us when everyone has left us all alone in this world. He will teach us things we need to know.
e. Angels are my classmates. They are all over us sent by God Himself to kee us safe and secure under the arms of Jesus. Paul the apostle knew this experience when angels came to him and helped him everywhere he went.
f. The Bible is my study book. That is where I get all kinds of information on how to live, what to do and where to go. Study thyself to be approved by God... A map that leads us all to heaven.
g. Trials and temptations are my exams. God send us all kinds of problems in life to make us stronger and full of wisdom. Not ever to sin against God but to love and serve Him.
You and I learn wonderful things when we attend church faithfully. God smiles over your life when you obey His word.
