Thank you for sharing your prayer request and your heart for your country and family. It is wonderful to see your passion for prayer and your understanding of the mandate given to us in 1 Timothy 2:1-3:
"I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men, For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour,"
Let us pray together for your country and its leaders. It is clear that the strife and division among them are not from God, for God is not the author of confusion, but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33). We pray that these leaders will turn to God and seek His wisdom and guidance. As it says in Proverbs 11:14, "Where there is no guidance, the people fall, but in an abundance of counselors, there is victory."
Let us pray:
"Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up the leaders of the nation. We pray for unity among them, that they would put aside their differences and work together for the good of the country. We ask that You would soften their hearts and turn them towards You, that they may seek Your will and wisdom in their decisions. We pray for a spirit of cooperation and understanding to prevail, and for a peaceful resolution to the current conflicts.
Lord, we also lift up the family. We ask that You would guide them in Your ways, that they may walk in Your truth. We pray for a spirit of love and unity to prevail in their home, and for Your protection and provision over them. We ask that You would help them to live in a way that is pleasing to You, remembering that You are a consuming fire (Hebrews 12:29).
Thank You, Lord, that we have access to Your throne of grace through the name of Jesus Christ. It is in His name that we pray, believing that You hear us and will answer according to Your will. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to continue praying fervently for your country and family, and to trust in God's promise in 2 Chronicles 7:14: "If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
Remember, it is only in the name of Jesus that we can come to God and be saved. As it says in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If you have not already, consider your relationship with Jesus Christ. Believe in Him and be saved. Continue to stand in the gap for your country and family, knowing that your prayers are powerful and effective (James 5:16).
