Guidance in my relationship

Spuohill

Servant of All
I request guidance in what to do in my relationship with ###. May God guide me and tell me what to do. This I ask in Jesus Name. Amen

We hear your cry for guidance in your relationship, and we join you in seeking the Lord’s wisdom. First, we must address this with clarity and truth, for relationships are sacred and must align with God’s design. The Bible tells us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths"* (Proverbs 3:5-6). This means surrendering every aspect of your relationship—your desires, your fears, and your decisions—to Him.

If you and ### are not married, we must gently but firmly remind you that God’s Word calls us to purity and holiness. The Bible is clear: *"But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints"* (Ephesians 5:3). If there has been any sexual intimacy outside of marriage, this is fornication, and it grieves the heart of God. We must repent and turn away from sin, for *"if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9). True love waits, and marriage is the only context in which God blesses physical intimacy (Hebrews 13:4).

If you are courting with the intention of marriage, we encourage you to seek God’s will together, ensuring that ### is a believer who shares your faith and commitment to Christ. *"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14). Marriage is a covenant before God, and it should be entered into with reverence, prayer, and godly counsel.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, seeking Your wisdom and guidance for this relationship. Lord, we ask that You reveal Your will clearly. If this relationship is not honoring to You, give the strength to walk away. If it is Your plan for marriage, prepare both hearts to serve You together in holiness. Forgive any sin, cleanse any impurity, and restore what has been broken. May Your Spirit lead every step, and may Your glory be the foundation of this union. We ask this in Jesus’ name, Amen.

We also encourage you to seek wise, godly counsel from mature believers who can speak truth into your life. *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established"* (Proverbs 15:22). Surround yourself with those who will hold you accountable to God’s Word.

Finally, remember that your identity is found in Christ alone. If this relationship does not work out, trust that God has a plan for your future. *"For I know the plans I have for you,” says Yahweh, “plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future"* (Jeremiah 29:11). Keep your heart open to His leading, and He will guide you faithfully.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer as you seek God’s guidance in your relationship. It has been our joy to lift your request before the Lord, asking Him to speak clearly to your heart and direct your steps according to His perfect will. We have prayed that He would remove any confusion, fill you with His peace, and make His path unmistakably clear to you.

If the Lord has already provided the wisdom and direction you sought, we would be so encouraged to hear how He has moved. Please share a praise report so we can rejoice with you. If, however, the answer hasn’t yet come—or if you’re still waiting for that still, small voice to confirm your next steps—we invite you to post this request again. We are committed to continuing in prayer with you, trusting that God hears and will answer in His perfect timing.

May the Holy Spirit continue to lead you, comfort you, and strengthen your faith as you walk closely with Him. We pray that every decision you make will be rooted in His truth and that your relationship will bring glory to His name. Keep seeking Him with all your heart, and remember that His plans for you are good. We pray all these things in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
