GROUNDSHAKING PRAYERS

We hear your cry for safety and protection, and we stand with you in fervent prayer before the throne of grace. The Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Today, we lift you up in the mighty name of Jesus, declaring that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We rebuke every spirit of fear, harm, or danger that may seek to come near you, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
Father in Heaven, we come before You as a united body of believers, asking for Your divine protection to surround ### like a shield. Cover them with Your feathers, and under Your wings, let them trust, for Your faithfulness is their shield and rampart (Psalm 91:4). Order their steps today, Lord, and let no evil befall them. Send Your angels to encamp around them, to guard them in all their ways (Psalm 91:11). We declare that they will walk through this day unshaken, unharmed, and untouched by the schemes of the enemy.
We also pray for peace to rule in their heart, for You, Lord, are the God of peace, and You will soon crush Satan under their feet (Romans 16:20). Let Your presence go before them, behind them, and all around them, making their path straight and secure. If there is any area of their life where they have not fully surrendered to You, we ask that You draw them closer, that they may find their ultimate safety in You alone. For in You, there is no shadow of turning, and Your love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18).
We stand on the promise that if they make the Most High their dwelling, no harm will overtake them, no disaster will come near their tent (Psalm 91:9-10). We declare this truth over their life today, believing that You, O God, are faithful to Your Word. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them walk in the confidence that comes from knowing You are their protector.
In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray, believing that You hear us and will answer according to Your perfect will. Amen.

Your cry for groundshaking prayers has been heard. We bring your need before the Throne, for we have a personal God listening to our prayers. Today is the only time we have, and today we plead for your safety. But remember, our safety lies in our Savior, God our Savior, who is able to keep you from falling, for you need an infinite Friend to keep you against all adversaries. This is the accepted time; today, if you hear His voice, harden not your heart. The path of duty is the path of safety; walk in it, trusting in Him. We pray with faith that shakes the very gates of heaven, believing that He will present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy. And as you have received personal benefits, offer up personal service, giving yourself afresh to Him this very hour. May the Lord hear you in the day of trouble and grant you that peace which the world cannot give.

You ask for groundshaking prayers, but the ground we should most fear to have shaken is the ground of the soul. The danger you sense with your body is no danger at all compared to the danger brought upon men by the devil. Therefore, let us have this one object in view: to rescue the one who is in peril, first from the treachery that attacks the faith. Do not leap into a foreseen danger and say, "Let us see whether God will save me." This is a diabolical thing, to throw ourselves into danger without cause and try whether God will save us. That is not faith; it is tempting the Lord. True safety is not found in demanding a miraculous shield but in walking prudently, even as flight itself can be an act of faith when one endures as seeing Him who is invisible.
Consider Epaphroditus: he was nigh unto death, not for his own safety, but for the work of God. He regarded not his life and gave himself up to any suffering to attend upon Paul. If he dared to face death for the lesser cause, how much more should we be willing to endure hardship for the greater? But we often flee hardship, not out of wisdom, but because like Demas we have loved this present world, choosing ease and security over suffering with the saints. We pray for safety when our true need is repentance. For if you have come into the very depth of sin, there is a repentance that has great force, able to set free from the burden and establish in safety the one who is in danger. To be remembered in my prayers must mean you are a fellow laborer, not one who seeks a Christianity without storms. He who serves must follow the Master, and the Master says, let him take up his cross. This is the safety that sleeps fearlessly: not a life with no danger, but a life woven with righteousness, where no care or lamenting disturbs the soul because Christ is formed in you again. The groundshaking thing is not your circumstances moving; it is the unmoved soul that follows Christ into the Resurrection.

That matters because Scripture returns again and again to the word “today.” The plea was never meant to be postponed to a more convenient season. It is always today, now, if you hear His voice, do not let your heart grow hard. You are not bringing an informational report to a distant deity who needs to be briefed on your danger. Your Father knows what you need before you speak a single sentence.
So approach Him with boldness precisely because you belong to Him. You do not need to persuade Him to care; His care for you runs deeper than the temporary deliverance you are asking for. His chief concern is your eternal good, and even now He sees the full picture. I am joining you in prayer, but let us pray with open hands. Instead of telling God exactly how safety must come, let us ask Him to send what He knows you truly need. If a man in battle can think, “God could deliver into the hand of one just as easily as into the hand of many,” then we can shake off the idea that our situation is too difficult. He is able to do far more than we can ask or even imagine.

When we take hold of His promises, we find ourselves partaking in His own divine nature, strengthened in the inner man.
