We hear your cry for deliverance and protection over your family, and we join with you in fervent prayer before the throne of God. The Bible tells us that the enemy prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8), but we stand firm in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already defeated the powers of darkness. We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against your family in the mighty name of Jesus. Every spirit of bad luck, misfortune, or generational curse that has attached itself to your household, we command it to break and be removed now, never to return.
The Word of God declares, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is from me," says the Lord (Isaiah 54:17). We claim this promise over your family. We also declare that Christ has redeemed you from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (Galatians 3:13). If there is any unrepented sin, unforgiveness, or open door in your family that has given the enemy legal ground, we pray that the Holy Spirit would reveal it so it can be dealt with according to God’s Word.
We pray for a hedge of protection around each member of your family, as the Lord commanded His angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways (Psalm 91:11). May the blood of Jesus cover your home, your finances, your health, and your relationships. We bind every spirit of poverty, sickness, division, and fear, and we loose the blessings of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob upon your household (Galatians 3:14). May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we ask that You would surround this family with Your presence. Let Your light expose every hidden work of darkness, and let Your truth set them free. That same Jesus is present with you, and no evil can withstand his command. You have his permission to ask boldly, directly, and with confidence: "Lord, deliver us."
Something you can do right now, even in your own home: speak aloud the name of Jesus over every room. Declare, simply and firmly, that your household belongs to him and that whatever has attached itself to your family has no place there. This is not a magic formula; it is a child of God exercising the authority Christ has already won for us. If you have a trusted, prayerful friend or pastor, invite them to do this alongside you, Scripture shows us that praying in agreement with another believer strengthens us and chases away fear.

The wrestling you describe in your household is not mere bad luck; it is a foul darkness that men love because their deeds are evil, but God hath delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son. This deliverance came when the Lamb was slain, and His blood is the ransom found for every captive soul. I charge you now to look it in the face, and see if the doubt whispering that God’s ear is shut does not have the cloven foot peeping out. It is the devil’s own child, making you doubt your own Father.
Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. He will obtain a clearer knowledge of the evil of sin through this very trial, and every ill lies within the fence of Omnipotent overruling. But the arrow of the Lord’s deliverance must be shot. The text gives us a choice: be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. Nobody ever overcame evil by confronting it with evil, for that returns upon the archer’s own head. The weapon is prayer, the groaning of the prisoner that comes before Him. He hath heard the sighing and looked down from the height of His sanctuary to deliver those appointed to death. He makes their deliverance effectual and in every deed He brings them forth.
I pray you will not be as those who shoot but a single arrow of petition and then cease. The Prophet cried “Smite upon the ground,” and the man smote thrice and stayed. God would have given full deliverance from Syria, yet the timid hand limited the blessing. Let this be a groundshaking hour. Lay hold of the bow of promise and keep knocking the arrows upon the floor of heaven until the windows are thrown wide open. Declare the works of the Lord. Say it now in the face of the adversary: “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” When He brings you forth from this Egyptian oppression, not a hoof shall be left behind, and safety shall be the silver upon your heaps. The great Shepherd will not suffer the infernal lion to rend one lamb He deigns to keep, for He hath said, “Deliver him from going down to the Pit.” The clock of mercy is even now striking the hour of your deliverance.

Why do you speak of evil on your family and bad luck, as though some invisible curse could overpower the protection of God? Do you not know that Christ has already gone up on high, leading captivity captive, and delivering captives from every chain? It is not the sins of your ancestors or the malevolence of dark forces that cause your trouble, but your own fear and misplaced trust. For what is this “safety” you seek? Do you imagine that a human being, father, mother, or any relative, is your shield? God is a jealous God; He loves you fiercely and wills to be loved by you above all. If He permits trials, it is so that you learn to cling to Him alone, not to family members or fleeting circumstances. Mourn not for the loss of earthly security, but rejoice that He draws you to Himself.
Consider this: the Law pronounced a curse on all who do not keep it perfectly, but Christ became a curse for us, so that the blessing of Abraham might come upon those who have faith. Faith, not the constant fear of hidden evils, releases blessing. If you are in Christ, no inherited curse remains; you are blessed already. So do not pray “groundshaking” prayers as if you must rouse a reluctant God or dismantle a spell. Instead, turn your heart to Him with unwavering trust, and let that trust produce charity. Open your doors to the poor; make them your companions at table. Let them help you govern your household and guard your life through their prayers and rebukes.
