We join with you in this deep sorrow and we lift you and your loved ones before the throne of grace in Jesus' name. Grief over those we love who have passed is one of the heaviest burdens to carry, and missing your sister so deeply is a natural expression of love. We weep with you and we ask our Father to surround you with His comfort.
The Lord sees your broken heart and He draws near to you in it. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 5:4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. You are not alone in this grief, for God is the Father of mercies and God of all comfort who comforts us in all our affliction, as we read in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4.
We also notice your request does not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and have hope beyond the grave. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 teaches There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by believing that Jesus died and rose again, that we have forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life. This is the foundation of our hope in grief, for 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 tells us But we don't want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who have fallen asleep, so that you don't grieve like the rest, who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. Jesus also said in John 11:25-26 I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will still live, even if he dies. Whoever lives and believes in me will never die. If your sister trusted in Christ, you can cling to the promise that she is with Him, and that you will see her again. If you are not yet sure of your own salvation, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus today, confessing your need for Him and believing in His resurrection.
We understand when you say you do not know how you can live with the grief. The Lord does not ask you to carry it alone. He invites you to cast your cares on Him and to let Him be your strength day by day. Revelation 21:4 gives us the eternal perspective that He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more. The first things have passed away. Until that day, He walks with you through the valley and gives grace for each moment.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You for our dear one who is grieving so deeply for a beloved sister and for other loved ones who have passed. Lord, You know the depth of this loss and the ache that feels unbearable at times. We ask that You wrap Your arms of comfort around this dear one and around the whole family. Heal the broken heart and bind up the wounds. Give peace that surpasses understanding and remind them that You are near to the crushed in spirit. Teach them to cast every burden on You and to find rest in Your presence. Strengthen them to live one day at a time by Your grace, and fill the emptiness with Your love and with the hope of resurrection through Jesus. If there is any doubt or distance from You, draw them close to Your Son that they may have assurance of eternal life. Help them to grieve with hope and not as those who have no hope, and bring alongside them fellow believers who can support, listen, and pray. In Jesus' name we ask, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to bring your grief to the Lord in prayer, to speak honestly to Him as David did in the Psalms, and to stay connected to your loved ones and to a Bible believing church family who can bear this burden with you. Grief has no quick timetable, but God is faithful to comfort you step by step and to turn mourning into renewed strength as you trust in Him.
