‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭2‬:‭23‬-‭24‬ ‭
“And Elisha went up from thence unto Beth-el: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little boys out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head. And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two boys of them.”

We stand together in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we have access to the Father and the only name that brings salvation. We rebuke every spirit of sabotage, mockery, discord, and disrespect that has been unleashed in your life and neighborhood. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that the power of the Holy Spirit is greater than any demonic influence, and we command every evil spirit behind this malicious behavior to flee in Jesus’ name.

The Bible is clear that mocking and malicious behavior are not of God. Proverbs 14:13 warns, "Even in laughter the heart may ache, and the end of joy may be grief." We see in 2 Kings 2:23-24 how the Lord dealt with those who mocked His servant Elisha, He did not tolerate disrespect or rebellion against His anointed. We stand on this truth today and declare that every scheme of the enemy to bring disgrace, bullying, and suffering through inappropriate photos, gossip, or demonic laughter will be exposed and brought to nothing. The Lord is a God of justice, and He will not allow His children to be trampled upon without consequence (Psalm 37:14-15).

We also recognize that grief and loss are deeply painful, and the enemy seeks to exploit these wounds to bring further despair. But we declare that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We pray that He would comfort you in your grief and restore what has been stolen. The enemy’s plans to spread ruin and misery will not prevail, God will turn every curse into a blessing for those who love Him (Deuteronomy 23:5).

We rebuke the spirit of division in your neighborhood and command it to cease its work. Where there is discord, we pray for unity; where there is disrespect, we pray for honor; where there is mockery, we pray for godly laughter and joy. The Lord desires that we live in peace with one another (Romans 12:18), and we declare that peace over your home and community.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name. We rebuke every demonic spirit that has been at work to sabotage, mock, and bring disgrace. We break every curse and scheme of the enemy over this situation and declare that no weapon formed against Your child will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, we ask that You expose every hidden agenda and bring justice where there has been injustice. Heal the wounds of grief and loss, and restore what has been broken. Fill this home and neighborhood with Your peace, love, and unity. Let Your light shine in the darkness, and let those who have been used by the enemy come to repentance and salvation. We declare that this situation will be turned around for Your glory, and that those who have been targeted will see Your deliverance and favor. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in faith, knowing that the Lord is your defender. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the battle is not yours, but God’s (2 Chronicles 20:15). Continue to walk in love, even toward those who have wronged you, but do not tolerate evil. Set boundaries where necessary, and trust that God will vindicate you. The enemy’s laughter will turn to weeping, but your joy in the Lord will be your strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith, and He will lead you into victory.

We have been sitting with what you shared, the weight of grief and loss in your family, a hospitalization, and then the added hurt of feeling mocked and exposed by neighbors spreading photos. To grieve while also feeling laughed at and disrespected in your own neighborhood is deeply painful, and we understand why you are asking God to rebuke what is wrong and to bring peace back.

When loss is fresh, even small acts of unkindness can feel much larger. It is normal for grief to leave you feeling raw, tired, and more vulnerable to how others act around you. That does not mean you are imagining it, it just means you are carrying a lot at once and need steady support around you.

One thing that can help right now is not carrying this alone. If you have a trusted pastor, counselor, or mature friend nearby, consider inviting one person to walk with you through both the grief and the neighborhood strain. If photos are being shared in ways that feel like bullying, it can also help to keep a simple private record of what happened and when, and to seek wise counsel about healthy boundaries and next steps.

We are praying for you.

Father, we lift our friend to You in the name of Jesus. You see the grief, the loss, and the hurt from being mocked. Bring comfort in mourning, guard their home and heart with Your peace, and give wisdom for each step forward. Surround them with caring people and help them sense Your nearness day by day. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The sorrow you describe is keenly felt, a wound made sharper by mockery and by the spreading of images meant to bring disgrace. To be grieved by loss within the family and then to be met with laughter, disrespect and a spirit of disorder in the neighborhood is a heavy affliction. Scripture speaks truly when it says, Even in laughter the heart may ache, and rejoicing may end in grief, Proverbs 14:13. He may smile, but his smile ill conceals the grief which lurks underneath, and the Lord sees both the hidden ache and the open scorn.

We do not wonder that you feel the sting of this mockery. Faith has often had her foes near at hand, sometimes even in the same house or the same street, and we can bear mockery and much more for His sake who died for us. You recall how Elisha was mocked as he went up to Bethel and how the Lord showed that He does not hold such contempt lightly, 2 Kings 2:23-24. Men may scoff at suffering and judge lightly of divine interposition, but the Lord hears the sad complaints of His people and spies His image in their weeping eyes. Vengeance belongs to Him, and He will do what is just and right in His own time, while He calls us to commit our cause to Him and to seek peace where we may.

We join you now to ask the Lord to rebuke every evil influence, whether spiritual or human, that delights in misery and spreads discord and shame. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray that the power of darkness would be restrained, that the mocking and bullying, the malicious sharing of photos and the contagious spirit of disrespect would be stopped, and that those who now smile at another's suffering would be brought to see their sin and to repent. We ask the Lord to set a guard about you and your household, to bring order where there is disorder, and to let no weapon formed for your ruin prosper.

We pray also for healing for the wounded heart. We very speedily care for bodily diseases, and you have known hospitalization and bodily weakness, but the Lord is the great Physician for soul and body alike. He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds, Psalm 147:3. Calvary is the place for the healing balm, and there is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, Revelation 22:2, and the least thing about Christ is healing. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. Healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction, and when Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you. Pardon and healing were one.

May the Sun of Righteousness rise upon you with healing in His wings. May the Lord comfort you in your grief over family members, lift the weight of disgrace, cover you with His pity, and restore to you quietness and strength. Welcome pardon and healing through our Lord Jesus, and seek Him daily in His Word, for faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God, and He is able to heal though He may have been far off, yet He says, Return, return.

We ask the Lord to heal you fully, to heal your household, to bring peace to your neighborhood, and to make even this trial a means by which His grace is more clearly seen in you. May He keep you from quarreling with God in your loss, and may you be kept in trusting love to Him who loves you too well to forsake you. Amen.

We have heard your cry and the heavy burden you carry with grief, loss of family members, hospitalization, disgrace and the wound of being mocked and exposed through photos spread to bully and shame you. It is right to bring this before the Lord, for He sees what is done in secret and what is done openly in the neighborhood and beyond.

Scripture says, Even in laughter the heart may ache, and rejoicing may end in grief. Proverbs 14:13. This is true of those who smile and laugh while another suffers. Their laughter does not prove joy, and it does not lessen your pain. It reveals the emptiness of their own heart. The evil speaker disgraces himself first and only then the one he speaks against. Like water that is brackish or sweet, what comes from a person fills those who receive it but does not lessen the fountain from which it flows. So wickedness and mockery first bring ruin to those who practice it, while virtue brings joy to those who practice it.

You have asked for rebuke of demonic influence and human malice, of disorder and disrespect, of a contagious spirit of discord that bites and devours, that wrongs and accuses and calumniates and is vexed by the life of a neighbor. This is a real evil. When people wish to undermine a neighbor they spread a story they may not even believe, and by much reporting they make it seem credible. This is not the way of those who are members of one body. If we are one building, whatever part is weakened affects the whole, and if we are one body, the injury of one member brings pain to all. To mock suffering and to spread shameful images is to injure not only you but the whole community.

You mentioned the account of Elisha in 2 Kings 2:23-24, when youths mocked the prophet and judgment came. That passage shows that God does not take mockery lightly, and He hears the cries of those who are scorned. Yet our Lord calls us not to curse those who mock us but to overcome evil with good, to pray for those who mistreat us, and to leave vengeance to Him. We do not call down harm on our neighbors. We ask God to stop the evil, to bring repentance, and to bring justice according to His wisdom.

Therefore let us pray together in the power of the name of Jesus Christ. We rebuke every demonic influence that stirs up malice, pity that is false, misery that seeks company, and laughter that feeds on another's ruin. We ask the Lord to rebuke the spirit of bullying and disorder that uses photos and mockery to disgrace another, whether in your neighborhood or wherever those images have been spread. We ask Him to cut off that contagious disrespect and to bring it to nothing.

We pray for you in your grief and loss. May the Lord comfort your heart, heal what has led to hospitalization, and lift the weight of disgrace. May He cover you with His mercy and guard your name and your home. Where photos have been used to sabotage and shame, we ask Him to restrain those who spread them, to convict them of their sin, and to bring those images to an end. May He turn the hearts of those who now smile at suffering toward repentance and toward mercy.

Hearing these things, let us fortify ourselves on all sides, striking our roots deep in Christ and cleansing ourselves from worldly ways. Do not be distressed beyond measure at the evils that happen to you, but bring them to God with sobriety of mind. Many have sorrows at home, one from a neighbor, another from loss, another from sickness, and no one is free from trouble. Yet prayer is a great good and a safeguard when we also walk in ways worthy of it. If we desire mercy from God, let us show mercy to our neighbors. If we desire blessing, let us do what is worthy of blessing.

So do not repay insult with insult. Do not pass on what is false. Keep silence where speech would only tear down, and speak only what builds up your neighbor. God gave the mouth to give thanks and to build up, not to destroy. If hands that should raise walls instead pull them down, they must be stopped. So the mouth that was made to bless must not be used to curse and mock.

We will continue to pray that the Lord will heal your grief, restore your strength after hospitalization, protect you from further sabotage, and bring peace to your neighborhood. May He grant you the grace to stand firm, to forgive as Christ forgave, and to see those who now mock come to know the mercy that is in Christ alone, for salvation is through Him alone and He alone can change the heart.

Your pain and grief have been heard, and it is right to bring this before the Lord. What you describe, the sabotage, the spreading of shameful photos, the mocking laughter and bullying that moves from one neighbor to another and then spreads further, is a deep violation of God's law. His command is to love Him with all your heart and to love your neighbor as yourself. That love fulfills what is owed to a neighbor. When a person mocks, slanders, deceives, or destroys another with the mouth, it is not love but sin. Scripture says the hypocrite destroys his neighbor with his mouth, and that a tale bearer goes about revealing secrets while a faithful person covers a matter. To despise a neighbor is to sin, and those who devise evil err, while mercy and truth belong to those who devise good.

God sees when people speak peaceably with their mouths while their hearts lie in wait, when they have taught their tongues to speak lies and weary themselves committing wrong, when discord spreads until hand rises against hand of neighbor. Nothing is hidden from Him. When an oath or a cry for justice comes before His altar, He hears from heaven and judges, condemning the wicked and bringing his way upon his own head, and justifying the righteous. You can trust Him to see the disrespect, the disorder, the contagious mockery and the demonic delight some take in the suffering of another. As you noted, even in laughter the heart may ache, and rejoicing may end in grief, as Proverbs 14:13 teaches. Laughter that mocks another's pain does not hide the truth from God. He also showed how seriously He regards mockery in the account of Elisha in 2 Kings 2:23-24, when young men mocked the prophet and God brought judgment upon them.

In the name of Jesus Christ I join you in rebuking every evil influence and every malicious human act behind this bullying, the shameful photos, the smiles and laughter at suffering, the spirit of disorder and disrespect in the neighborhood that seeks to spread elsewhere. I ask the Lord to stop the spreading of those images, to expose and restrain those who devise evil, to protect you from further sabotage and disgrace, and to bring conviction where repentance is needed and justice where it is due.

I also lift up your grief and loss, including the loss of family members and the pain that led to hospitalization. The sorrow you carry is great, and the Lord draws near to the brokenhearted. Friends of Job saw that his grief was very great and at first could only weep and sit silent, for words failed. In seasons of great loss our minds torment us with what ifs, and grief itself can cause us to speak from pain rather than truth. God understands that ache. He does not waste pain and He can use even suffering and grief as chisels to shape character and to form His image in us, while also bringing comfort that only He can give. I pray He will comfort you, heal what has been wounded by disgrace, guard your heart and mind in Christ, surround you with people of understanding who make peace rather than those who despise their neighbor, and fill you with His love so that you may love Him supremely and in His strength continue to love your neighbor as yourself.

May the Lord deliver you through His knowledge, keep you in peace, and let mercy and truth be your portion as you walk before Him.
