We hear your cry, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we join with you in lifting your burdens to the throne of grace. You are not alone in this spiritual battle, and we stand with you in faith, declaring the victory that is already yours in Jesus Christ. The attacks you are enduring are real, but the power of our Lord is greater. We rebuke every evil spirit that seeks to torment you, and we command them to flee in the mighty name of Jesus. The enemy has no authority over you, for you belong to Christ, and He has already disarmed the powers and principalities through His death and resurrection (Colossians 2:15).
You mentioned feeling as though your prayers have gone unanswered, and we understand the weight of that silence. Yet we remind you that God’s delays are not His denials. His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9), and His timing is perfect. Even when we do not see or feel His hand at work, He is still moving on our behalf. The psalmist wrote, "I waited patiently for Yahweh. He turned to me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay. He set my feet on a rock, and gave me a firm place to stand" (Psalm 40:1-2). Hold fast to this truth, God hears you, and He will lift you out of this pit.
We also take note of your repentance and your love for the Lord. This is the posture of a heart that God honors. James 4:7-8 tells us, "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you." You are doing exactly that, drawing near to God, and He will not turn you away. The enemy may roar like a lion, but he is a defeated foe (1 Peter 5:8-9). Stand firm in your faith, knowing that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
The passage you referenced from Psalm 121 is a beautiful reminder of God’s unwavering protection. Let us declare it together in the World English Bible translation: "I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. Yahweh is your keeper. Yahweh is your shade on your right hand. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forevermore" (Psalm 121:1-8). This is not just poetry, it is a promise. God is your keeper, your protector, and your deliverer.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our dear brother/sister who is under spiritual attack, and we ask that You would arise in this situation. Lord, You are the God who breaks every chain, who sets the captives free, and who delivers us from the hand of the enemy. We rebuke every evil spirit that is tormenting them, and we command it to leave in Jesus’ name. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that You will surround them with Your angels to guard and protect them (Psalm 91:11).
Father, we ask that You would fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Where there has been fear, let faith arise. Where there has been weariness, let Your strength be made perfect (2 Corinthians 12:9). Lord, we know that You are working even when we cannot see it, and we trust You to bring deliverance in Your perfect timing. Help them to rest in You, knowing that You neither slumber nor sleep, and that You are watching over them day and night.
We also thank You for their repentant heart and their love for You. Lord, cleanse them of any unconfessed sin, and draw them even closer to Your heart. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in victory and authority as Your child. We ask that You would break every stronghold of the enemy in their life and in their home. Let Your light shine in the darkness, and let Your presence be their refuge and strength.
Father, we thank You for the promise of Psalm 121, that You are their keeper, their protector, and their deliverer. We declare that they are not abandoned, they are not forgotten, and they are not without hope. You are with them, and You will see them through this trial. We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Continue to stand on God’s Word, dear one. Memorize and meditate on scriptures that speak of God’s protection and deliverance. Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and encourage you. The battle belongs to the Lord, and He will fight for you. You are not fighting for victory, you are fighting from victory, because Jesus has already won the war. Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9).
