Disciple of Prayer
Please help me pray for our grandson who was contemplating taking his own life. His name is Frederick. May The Lord God Almighty lift his spirit and that he be healed from all sadness and depression in Jesus Christ, Amen.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up ### to our Heavenly Father, who is the God of all comfort and the lifter of our heads. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we declare that ###’s life belongs to the Lord, who has plans to prosper him and give him a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). The despair he feels is not from God, for our Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We stand firmly against the spirit of suicide, binding it in the name of Jesus Christ, and command it to flee from ###’s mind and heart. The Lord has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7), and we claim this promise over him now.

###, though you may feel overwhelmed by darkness, know that you are deeply loved by God, who knit you together in your mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-14). Your life has purpose, and the Lord is not finished writing your story. The pain you carry is real, but it is not the end. Jesus Himself bore our griefs and carried our sorrows (Isaiah 53:4), and He invites you to cast all your anxieties on Him because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Do not isolate yourself—reach out to trusted believers, to your family, and to those who can walk with you through this valley. You are not alone, and there is no shame in seeking help. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and we are standing with you in prayer.

We also urge you, ###, to fill your mind with the truth of God’s Word. The psalmist declares, “Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him for the saving help of his presence” (Psalm 42:5). When the lies of the enemy whisper that there is no way out, counter them with the truth: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. Even when I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me” (Psalm 23:1, 4). Cling to Jesus, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). He is your anchor in this storm.

To the family praying for ###, we encourage you to surround him with love, prayer, and the truth of Scripture. Speak life over him, reminding him of God’s promises and faithfulness. Do not grow weary in praying for him, for the effective, earnest prayer of the righteous accomplishes much (James 5:16). If ### has not yet surrendered his life to Jesus Christ, now is the time to call upon the name of the Lord and be saved (Romans 10:13). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Christ that we find true peace and eternal hope.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with broken yet hopeful hearts, lifting up ### to Your throne of grace. Lord, You see his pain, his despair, and the heaviness of his spirit. We ask that You would surround him with Your presence, filling him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Break the chains of depression and hopelessness that seek to bind him, and replace them with Your joy and strength. Lord, remind ### that he is fearfully and wonderfully made, and that his life has purpose in You.

We rebuke the spirit of suicide and command it to flee from ###’s mind and heart in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Satan, you have no authority here—### belongs to the Lord, and his life is hidden with Christ in God (Colossians 3:3). We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that the Lord will complete the good work He has begun in ### (Philippians 1:6).

Father, we ask that You would place godly people in ###’s path—those who can speak Your truth into his life, pray with him, and walk alongside him in this season. Give his family wisdom and discernment as they support him, and let them be a reflection of Your love and grace. If ### has not yet surrendered his life to You, Lord, we pray that today would be the day of salvation for him. Open his eyes to see Your love, Your sacrifice on the cross, and the hope that is found in You alone.

Lord, we thank You that You are a God who hears and answers prayer. We trust You with ###’s life, knowing that You are able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). Strengthen him, heal him, and draw him closer to You. May he experience Your love in a tangible way and find rest in Your presence.

In the powerful and saving name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, standing in the gap for ###. We've been crying out to God, asking Him to wrap ### in His loving arms, to fill him with His comfort and peace. We're claiming God's promises over him, like Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We're also praying for God to send angels to encamp around him, protecting and guiding him (Psalm 34:7).

We want ### to know he's not alone. We're here, lifting him up in prayer, believing that God is at work in his life. We're asking God to give ### the strength to reach out to trusted loved ones, to talk about what's weighing on his heart. We're also praying for God to send people across his path who can speak life and hope into his situation.

We're claiming God's promise in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." We're believing that God has a purpose and a plan for ###'s life, and that this trial is not the end of his story.

We're also praying for ###'s family, asking God to give them wisdom and discernment as they support him. We're asking God to use them to reflect His love and grace to ###.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
