We join with you in prayer together in Jesus name and we are deeply moved by your love for your husband and your tender heart for his grandmother during this heavy and sacred time.

We thank God for your marriage and for the beautiful way you desire to be a comfort and strength to your husband even while you are apart. This is the picture of godly marriage, to bear one another's burdens and to love sacrificially as Christ loves us. We praise God that you had the privilege of traveling to the island to meet his grandmother and to share that precious time, and now we lift her, your husband, and you before the throne of grace.

We pray for his dear grandmother as she nears the end of her earthly life. We ask the Lord to surround her with His peace and mercy, to ease any pain or fear, and if she knows Jesus as her Savior to welcome her home with hope. If she has not yet put her trust in Him, we pray that even now she would hear the good news of salvation. Jesus said in John 11:25-26 I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will still live, even if he dies. Whoever lives and believes in me will never die.

We lift up your beloved husband as he stands by his family in this valley. We ask God to flood him with support, to hold him as he cries, and to be his refuge and strength. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. And Matthew 5:4 reminds us Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. We pray the Father of mercies and God of all comfort will comfort him in this affliction, as it is written in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

We pray for you, that God will use you fully and miraculously as a vessel of His love across the miles. Though you are in the states and he is far away, the Lord is not limited by distance and He can make your prayers and your love overflow into your husband's soul. We ask Him to move every mountain that would hinder your connection and to give you words of encouragement, wisdom when to speak and when simply to listen, and grace to love him emotionally, mentally and spiritually. May the peace of God which surpasses all understanding guard your hearts and his heart. Philippians 4:7 says and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And Isaiah 41:10 says Dont be afraid, for I am with you. Dont be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

Father, in the name of Jesus we bring this family before You. We ask You to hug this husband through the presence of Your Holy Spirit, to let him feel his wife's love and Your love filling his soul even now. Comfort him in his heavy heart, sustain his family, and receive his grandmother into Your hands according to Your perfect will. Use this precious wife to uplift and encourage her husband, let her prayers be a constant covering over him, and let their marriage be strengthened and refined through this trial. Give them both hope that even in sorrow we do not grieve as those without hope, for we know that those who sleep in Jesus will rise again. Let Your will be done and let Your love be felt in every tear and every prayer. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to pour out your heart in prayer, to speak often with your husband, to share scripture and pray together over the phone, and to simply remind him that you hold him and love him. The Lord hears the overflow of your prayers and He is faithful to carry you both through this.

Thank you for sharing your heart with us. Your love for your husband comes through so clearly, and we hear how heavy it feels to be in the States while he is on the island with his grandma in these final days. It is a gift that you had the chance to meet her and to know a little of the life and family that shaped him.

Being far away can leave you feeling helpless, but your steady presence matters more than finding perfect words. Grief is so personal and no two people carry it the same way, even in the same family, so giving him room to grieve as he needs to, whether he wants to talk, cry, or be quiet, is itself a way of loving him well. Often the most comforting thing is simply listening and letting him know you are with him, rather than trying to fix the sorrow.

One small step that helps many couples at a distance is to agree on a simple rhythm together. You might ask him what feels most supportive right now, a brief morning voice note, a short evening call, or praying together on the phone, and let him lead. If there is a trusted family member with him there, staying lightly in touch with that person can also help you know how he is doing without him having to retell everything. And as you wait and pray, lean on your own support here too.

Father, in Jesus name we lift this dear grandma to You for Your peace over her, we ask You to hold her grandson as he grieves and to draw close to him in this sorrow, and to give his wife wisdom and strength to love him well across the miles. Amen.

Your prayer for your husband in this hour of heavy sorrow is heard, and it is a tender and Christlike desire to be made a comfort to him while he watches beside his grandmother in her frailty.

The Lord is the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation. That comforting assurance is for them that fear Him, for the Angel of the Lord encamps around them that fear Him and delivers them. You and your husband are a people who need to be comforted, and the prophet was inspired to say, Comfort you, comfort you my people, says your God, speak you comfortably to Jerusalem and cry unto her that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned. This is the comfort that abides, that even when the heart is heavy and tears flow, the soul may rest in the Lord.

It is right that you long to be used of God for your husband, for in a true marriage the husband and wife become one, and the Lord has joined you together that you might bear one another's burdens and reveal His own faithful love. As you are apart, he there on the island and you here in the states, remember that the Keeper of Israel never slumbers, He sees you both all the day long and all the night long, and He can make your prayers an overflow into his soul though distance divides you. Blessing God in this trial will itself be a comfort to you, for it takes the thoughts off our own sorrows and fixes them upon His unfailing goodness.

May the Lord flood your husband with support as he weeps, and hold him fast when his heart is overwhelmed. May He comfort you also as you wait and intercede, and teach you both to rest in the Lord, fixed upon that blissful center, and to say with ardent faith, I know, O Lord, that Your judgments are right and that You in faithfulness have afflicted me. Cast away sinful unbelief and look to Christ alone, for salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and He is our only hope in life and in death.

We pray that the Lord will sustain his grandmother, and if it be His will to call her home, that He will receive her to Himself and give peace to those who love her. We pray that He will make you, though far away, a vessel of His encouragement to your husband, that your love, your prayers, your words spoken in the fear of the Lord, may uplift him emotionally, mentally and spiritually. May your marriage be strengthened through this sorrow, as you tell your griefs to your Lord as a wife tells her husband, and find Him to be a Husband to His people in faithfulness and tender care.

May the God who has comforted, who is comforting, and who will never leave off comforting you, keep you both in His perfect peace until you are reunited, and cause you to bless His name together.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
