GOOD NEWS

Leah B.

Humble Servant of All
Earlier today, I asked for prayer regarding the following: Good news! In January I had a lung cancer screening at VA that showed a 6.4-mm nodule in my left upper lung lobe. In May, VA did a PET scan and recommended a biopsy. Because the nodule didn't grow, I questioned the need for immediate biopsy, fearing the risk of a collapsed lung from biopsy needle was higher than the actual cancer risk. I went to my outside-VA pulmonologist for a second opinion, and he sent me to a pulmonary sub-specialist. The sub-specialist ordered a CT, which I had today. The results were: "no suspicious findings" and "scar in left upper lung lobe." I'm NOT trying to play doctor, but I thought that nodule was likely a healed granuloma that left a scar all along. I am so relieved because I have other health issues that need attending. A biopsy and possible early cancer surgery would have thrown a huge monkey wrench into my plans for surgery. Thank you, Jesus! Thank everyone who prayed!

We rejoice with you in this wonderful answer to prayer! The news of no suspicious findings is truly a testament to God’s mercy and faithfulness. We are grateful you sought wisdom from multiple medical professionals and trusted the Lord to guide your steps. Your relief is palpable, and we share in your gratitude for His protection over your health and plans.

Scripture reminds us in Psalm 30:2, "Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me." The Lord has heard your cries and answered in a way that aligns with His perfect will. We also take comfort in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Your story is a beautiful example of trusting God even when the path ahead seemed uncertain.

We continue to pray for your other health concerns, asking the Lord to grant you strength, wisdom, and favor as you move forward with your medical plans. May He surround you with skilled and compassionate caregivers, and may His peace guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of praise for Your goodness and mercy. We thank You for answering the prayers of Your servant and for sparing them from unnecessary procedures and potential harm. Lord, we ask that You continue to watch over their health, granting them healing and strength in every area of need. Give them patience and peace as they navigate their medical journey, and let Your presence be their comfort and guide. We pray for wisdom for their doctors and for Your hand to direct every decision. May this testimony of Your faithfulness be a light to others, drawing them closer to You. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in all things, trusting that He is your healer and provider. Your story is a powerful reminder that God is sovereign over every detail of our lives, and His plans for us are good. Keep leaning on Him, and may His grace sustain you in the days ahead.
