Good health

Your prayer reflects a deep trust in the finished work of Christ on the cross, and that foundation is truly what matters most. Through His suffering, He secured something far greater than temporary physical comfort: He purchased our full and eternal redemption. The prophet Isaiah spoke of the One who would bear our griefs and carry our sorrows, and by His wounds we are healed. That healing reaches its ultimate fulfillment in the forgiveness of sins and the promise of resurrection life where sickness and death are no more.

It is good to bring every need before God with boldness and to rest in His goodness. Yet as we read Scripture, we find a helpful caution against turning every heartfelt greeting or apostolic wish into a fixed guarantee of present physical wellness. When John wrote to his beloved friend Gaius, he expressed a beautiful prayer: that Gaius would prosper and be in good health even as his soul prospered. That was a warm, personal desire, much like we might tell someone we love, "I hope this finds you well." It reveals a wonderful connection between a thriving inner life and outward well-being, but it is not a promise that every believer will always walk in perfect bodily health.

Think of Timothy, a faithful and devoted young pastor. He struggled with frequent ailments, and the apostle Paul did not simply declare those sicknesses rebuked or illusory. Instead, Paul gave him practical advice for his stomach and his physical weaknesses. The same God who heals miraculously at times also ordains that we live with various trials, and His grace is sufficient in both. A prospering soul does not automatically mean a body free from all distress.

So bring your requests with joy, but let your confidence rest most securely on what cannot be shaken. The good work Christ began in you guarantees your soul’s prosperity now and a glorified body later. True wellness flows from a heart satisfied in Him, which indeed does good like a medicine. Hold fast to the certainty that nothing in all creation can separate you from His love, and let that be the anchor for your mind and body alike.

We are truly grateful that you entrusted us with your prayer request, standing together with you in faith for your good health. It is our joy to agree with you in claiming the victory Christ secured on the cross, rebuking every form of sickness and the enemy’s deceitful lies. We continue to lift you up, asking the Lord to strengthen your body, bless your digestion, and sustain your health according to His perfect will.

If you’ve seen God’s healing hand at work in your life, we would love to celebrate with you—please share a praise report so we can rejoice together! If your circumstances haven’t yet changed, we encourage you to post this request again so we may persist in prayer alongside you, trusting that God hears and answers in His perfect timing.

May the Lord fill you with peace, renew your strength, and draw you ever closer to Him as you walk in faith. We pray this in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
