God's Will

The movie "The Cable Guy", for example. Read this: "Lord, I will recite 'Save and protect' for every single reptilian and their ally involved in the cable television industry. Plus, Lord, the very best phrasing from You—past, present, or future—with the highest speed and the best possible result. Let this request be called 'Anti-Reptilian.' Every time I say 'Anti-Reptilian', I will be referring to this request. Lord, perhaps You might wish to add something." (It's important to say this to avoid mistakes). Then say: "God, 'Anti-Reptilian'. God, You know what I mean." Then, immediately recite "Save and protect". It is best to recite it at length. If you take a break (even for 4 seconds), you must say: "God, 'Anti-Reptilian'. You know what I mean." Then, immediately recite "Save and protect". It sounds strange, but it works. Did you feel better the other day? Thank me. Recite the prayer a little bit every day, too. And thank God before going to sleep. It will multiply the effect. Just say: " God, thank you for your help, for everything."

We have read your request and we want to respond together with care and truth as we seek God's will in Jesus' name.

We understand you are wanting to pray for protection and to see God's will done, and that desire itself is good. However the method you have described does not align with what the Bible teaches about prayer and about God. Prayer is not an incantation, a formula, or a set of words that works by repetition, speed, or by using a code word to multiply an effect. Jesus Himself warned us about this. He said in Matthew 6:7, But in praying, don't use vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking. And in Matthew 6:8 He reminds us, Therefore don't be like them, for your Father knows what you need, before you ask him.

God is not manipulated by phrasing, by past or future wording, or by how quickly or how long we repeat a phrase. He is our loving Father who hears the simple, sincere prayers of His children offered in faith. He desires truth and relationship, not a magical technique. His ways are higher than our ways as it says in Isaiah 55:8-9, and we are to pray according to His will with humility, not trying to add to or control His will. In 1 John 5:14 we read, This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us.

We also need to lovingly rebuke the idea of reptilians controlling the cable television industry and the claim that reciting this formula works and that thanks should be given to you. The Bible tells us to avoid myths and endless speculation. In 1 Timothy 4:7 we are told, But refuse profane and old wives' fables. Exercise yourself toward godliness. And in Titus 3:9, But shun foolish questionings, genealogies, strife, and disputes about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. There is no biblical basis for reptilian beings secretly ruling media. What Scripture does reveal about spiritual reality is in Ephesians 6:12, For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Our true enemy is Satan and his demonic forces, and our battle is won not by code words but by the blood of Jesus, by truth, righteousness, and faith in Christ.

We also notice that your request speaks of Lord and God but does not mention Jesus Christ. We want to gently but clearly say that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God. Jesus said in John 14:6, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. In 1 Timothy 2:5 we read, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. Without coming through Jesus in repentance and faith, our prayers are not heard as children of God. If we have not yet put our trust in Jesus as Savior who died for our sins and rose again, we must first believe on Him and call upon His name.

We also want to correct the idea of saying thank me or that thanking God before sleep multiplies the effect as if thanksgiving were a technique to increase power. We thank God because He is worthy and because He has already been gracious to us, not to manipulate a result. In 1 Thessalonians 5:18 we are told, In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you. And our thanks belongs to God alone, not to any man who invents a prayer method. As Psalm 50:15 says, Call on me in the day of trouble. I will deliver you, and you will honor me.

We encourage you to turn from this formula and from conspiracy myths and to seek the Lord simply and biblically. Pray in your own honest words, according to Scripture, in the name of Jesus, trusting His wisdom and timing. If you are concerned about the influence of media, you can pray biblically that God would bring truth, righteousness, and the gospel to those who work in that industry and that He would protect your own mind and heart as you choose what to watch.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we thank You that You invite us to come boldly to Your throne of grace. We ask that You reveal Yourself to the one who wrote this request, that You draw them into a true saving relationship with Jesus if they have not yet believed, that they may be forgiven and know You as Father. We ask that You cleanse their mind from confusion, myths, and any teaching that treats prayer as magic or vain repetition, and that You teach them to pray in spirit and in truth according to Your Word and Your will. Help them to trust that You hear a simple childlike prayer offered in Jesus' name and that You answer according to Your perfect wisdom and love. Guard their heart from deception and from giving glory to man, and help them to give all thanks and glory to You alone. Lead them to read Your Word daily, to test all things as in 1 Thessalonians 5:21, and to walk in peace knowing that You are sovereign over all industries and all powers. We ask that You use them to share the truth of Christ with others. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to read the Gospel of John and to pray simply, Lord Jesus, I believe You died for my sins and rose again, save me and teach me to pray according to Your will. God wants relationship with you, not a formula, and He will hear you when you come through Christ with a sincere heart.

We appreciate you reaching out and sharing what's been on your heart. We hear your desire to stay close to God, to be protected, and to thank Him well. That desire for His nearness is a good and honest place to be.

Carrying a prayer that has to be worded exactly right, said at a certain speed, and repeated without even a short pause can become very heavy and tiring. You don't have to hold that kind of pressure to be heard. God knows you, He understands you even when your words are simple, and He invites you to come to Him plainly and rest.

A steady next step that many find helpful is to keep prayer simple and grounded. Set aside a brief, calm time each day to talk with God in your own ordinary words, tell Him what is on your mind, ask for His peace and guidance, and thank Him before sleep as you already want to do, without keeping score of how it feels or what happens next. If these thoughts feel intense or make it hard to find peace and rest, consider sharing them regularly with a trusted pastor or mature believer who knows you in person and can walk with you over time.

We are praying for you.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus' name. Surround them with Your peace, give them clear and quiet rest, and help them sense Your nearness and care in simple ways each day. Lead them in wisdom, guard their heart and mind, and draw them deeper into trust in You. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your desire to seek the Lord in prayer is to be encouraged, yet the form you have described is not according to the way Scripture teaches us to pray.

Prayer is not an incantation in which a set phrase, repeated at length or at speed, compels a result. The Lord Jesus warned against vain repetitions, as though we should be heard for much speaking. As surely as God's will is the axle of the universe, and as certainly as His will is the great heart of providence sending its pulsings through even the most distant limbs of human act, so we rest assured that He is King, willing to do as He pleases, having mercy on whom He will have mercy. We do not bend His will to ours by a formula or by naming a request Anti-Reptilian and repeating it without ceasing. His revealed will is what we must not violate, and His secret purposes are under His own regulation, for nothing happens but what He permits or ordains.

It is also written that salvation is of God's will, and that the work of the Spirit, which is the effect of the will of God, is to change the human will and so make men willing in the day of God's power. No man can stand and say, I will conquer the Holy Spirit, for I am stronger than God, or I will make the blood of Christ of no effect. We do not come to God to dictate the highest speed and the best possible result according to our own invention. We come saying, I wish in all things to be obedient to Your gracious will, and if the Lord wills, we shall do this or that. The merchants of whom James speaks said, We will go, we will buy, we will sell, we will get gain, but it is foolish for a man to feel that he can do as he likes and that everything will fall out as he desires without asking God's consent at all.

You speak of feeling better and of multiplying effect by thanksgiving before sleep. It is good and right to thank God for His help, for everything, and to cast your cares upon Him. When my soul suffers from fear, the cure is, What time I am afraid, I will trust in You. We trust in Him whose power will never be exhausted, whose love will never cease, whose kindness will never change, whose faithfulness will never be sullied. That trust, not a repeated formula, casts out fear. To thank Him each night is a sweet duty, but not as a means to multiply a charm. He hears the simple, humble cry of a heart that looks to Christ alone for salvation.

Do not put your confidence in notions concerning reptilians or in the cable television industry as though prayer were a weapon of hidden knowledge. Try as you may, you cannot alter the world by such devices, and you cannot alter God's providential arrangements by them. You have nothing to do with that, dear friend, that is His business and God's. You go and do the right thing and then be no longer anxious about it, but leave the result with God. If there are men who do wrong, pray for them as men for whom Christ died, that they may be brought to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation. There is no other name by which we must be saved, and no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly, but for the ungodly who will not believe His Word there are no blessed promises apart from Christ.

Lay aside this strange phrasing and this rule of repeating without a four second break. Come plainly to your Father in heaven through the blood of His Son. Confess your sin, ask to be made willing by His Spirit, seek His will to be done, and trust Him to keep you where you shall fear no evil because He is with you. Let your prayer be, Lord, teach me to pray according to Your Word, save me for Christ's sake, protect me from evil, and make me obedient to Your gracious will. Then leave the answer in His wise and loving hands.
