God's will and ways to ###'s heart and mind ♥️♥️♥️

Servant of All
Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your goodness and for hearing my prayers. I praise you for opening this door and leading us to connect through our video call. Thank you for guiding our steps and bringing ###'s into my life.

Lord, I commit this new relationship into your hands. I ask that your will and your ways be done above all else. Please touch ###'s heart and mind. Stir a genuine romance and a deep spark within him toward me. If it is your will, let this relationship grow deep and serious, to the point where he openly and out loud declares his love for me. I pray that he sees the value in me, feels a true connection, and views me as a perfect fit for his life.

I pray that you shape him into a man with the heart of a provider—someone who is kind, loving, and ready to be a wonderful partner to me and a loving stepdad to my boys. I ask that you make a way for him to visit me soon.

Father, I lay my deepest desires before you: our future together, marriage, a petition to join him in America, and a united family with my boys as his stepsons. I trust these dreams to your perfect timing and your perfect plan. Guide our steps, protect our hearts, and let your peace lead us every day.

In Jesus' name, I pray.

Amen.

We hear your heartfelt prayer and recognize the deep longing you have for a godly marriage and a family united under Christ. First, we want to affirm that your desire for a husband who is kind, loving, and committed to your boys is beautiful and aligns with Scripture. The Bible tells us, "He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the Lord" (Proverbs 18:22). Marriage is a sacred covenant, and it is right to pray for a spouse who will honor God and cherish you and your children.

However, we must gently address a few concerns in your prayer. While it is natural to desire romance and affection, we must be cautious about praying for a "spark" or "genuine romance" in a way that could lead to emotional or physical intimacy outside of marriage. The Bible warns us, "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18). If you and ### are not yet married, we encourage you to guard your hearts and bodies, ensuring that your relationship honors God in purity. Courtship should be focused on discerning God’s will for marriage, not on stirring up romantic feelings prematurely.

We also want to remind you that while it is good to pray for ###’s transformation, we must surrender our desires to God’s timing and will. The Bible says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths" (Proverbs 3:5-6). It is not wrong to pray for a husband who will provide and love your boys, but we must trust that God will shape him in His perfect timing. Our prayers should not seek to manipulate or force outcomes but rather align our hearts with God’s purposes.

Lastly, we encourage you to prayerfully consider whether this relationship is truly God’s will. Are you both committed to Christ above all else? Is ### a believer who shares your faith and values? The Bible warns, "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). If ### is not a follower of Christ, we urge you to seek God’s wisdom and possibly reconsider this relationship, as it could lead to spiritual conflict and heartache.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, lifting up this sister and her desires for marriage and family. Lord, we thank You for the way You have already worked in her life, and we ask that You continue to guide her steps. Father, we pray that You would give her wisdom and discernment as she seeks Your will in this relationship. Help her to guard her heart and body in purity, honoring You in all she does. Lord, if this man is Your choice for her, we ask that You soften his heart, draw him closer to You, and prepare him to be a godly husband and stepfather. Shape him into a man who loves You above all else and who will cherish and lead his family according to Your Word.

Father, we surrender her desires for marriage, relocation, and a united family into Your hands. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect plan. If this relationship is not Your will, we ask that You close the door gently and clearly, replacing her longing with Your peace and contentment. Help her to find her worth and identity in You alone, knowing that You are her ultimate provider and protector.

Lord, we also pray for her boys. May they experience Your love and grace in a tangible way, and may they grow to know You as their Heavenly Father. Surround them with godly influences and prepare their hearts for the future You have for them.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names, through whom we have access to Your throne of grace. May Your will be done in this sister’s life, and may she find her joy and fulfillment in You alone. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking God’s will through prayer and Scripture. Spend time in His Word, asking Him to reveal His plans for you. Surround yourself with godly counsel, such as mature believers or a pastor, who can offer wisdom and accountability. Remember, "Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4). When our hearts are aligned with His, our desires will reflect His will. Trust in Him, and He will direct your path.

Thank you for sharing your prayer so openly with us. We can hear the genuine longing in your words, the hope that this connection will blossom, and the deep desire for a life and family rooted in God’s goodness. That kind of longing is heavy to carry alone, and we’re glad you’ve brought it here.

It’s completely natural to want a clear sign, a spark, a declaration, something that quiets the uncertainty. When we’ve already invested our hearts, the waiting can feel especially vulnerable. What we can hold onto in that space is this: God’s will isn’t a secret He’s keeping from you; it’s something He walks us into, step by step, as we stay close to Him. So while you wait and wonder, you’re not off-track, you’re exactly where He can teach you to trust His love for you, regardless of how another person responds.

You also mentioned your boys, and that shows wisdom. If this relationship does grow toward a future together, blending a family will be one of the most tender and challenging parts. It won’t rest on romantic feelings alone, but on patient, honest groundwork. Many couples who enter stepfamily life find that learning about the unique dynamics early, having calm conversations about expectations, parenting roles, and how the children’s hearts will be protected, makes all the difference. That kind of preparation doesn’t dull romance; it builds something sturdy enough to hold it. So beyond praying for his heart to stir, it might be worth gently exploring whether he shares your vision for a united family, not just in theory but in the everyday realities.

Jesus, we lift up your daughter to you now. You see every hope she’s poured out, and you know the path ahead better than any of us. Quiet the parts of her heart that feel frantic, and give her a steady confidence that she is safe with You. Guide her steps, give her clarity, and if this relationship is part of your plan, build it on a foundation of mutual honor, kindness, and shared love for You. Protect her boys, and prepare whatever future you have for them. We trust you with it all. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In Jesus name. Amen.

The heart speaks loudly of its desires, but the ear must be quiet to hear what God speaks. You speak of a door opened and a hand guiding, yet the question hangs above all prayers, whose will shall stand? As surely as God's will is the axle of the universe, as certainly as God's will is the great heart of providence sending its pulsings through even the most distant limbs of human act, so in grace let us rest assured that he is King, willing to do as he pleases, having mercy on whom he will have mercy. Have you considered that the chief end of this connection is not the fulfillment of your dream, but the doing of God's will?

All that these men of old spoke of doing was to be done entirely in their own strength. They said, "We will. We will." They had no thought of asking the Divine blessing, nor of entreating the help of the Most High. And now you would shape a man, orchestrate a romance, and petition for a path to a new land, all excellent desires perhaps, but what if God's will takes a different road? While many of God's purposes are hidden from us, there is a revealed will which we must not violate. There is a Providential will of God which we should always consult. You must come to say, "I will go, or I will stay, if it is the will of God." He was the guide of my youth, He shall be the guide of my old age. I will leave everything to Him, all the way from earth to Heaven, and I will be content to live only a day at a time.

But see how the mass of men reap their harvests and yet never thank the God who gives the harvest. Would it be any evidence of God's love to you if He allowed you to walk in a path of your own choosing and still gave you all the comforts of this life? Instead of its being an evidence of harshness on God's part, it is often a token of special favor when He withholds the thing we clamor for. The Cross is the window through which the love of God is best seen. Until you perceive that love, a love that chose you when you were careless and wayward, you will mistake a withheld visitation for unkindness. O child of God, you are as much loved of God as if He had not another child to love, and that love might compel Him to keep a worldly comfort from you.

Do not seek to conjure a spark in another’s heart as if salvation and affection hinge upon the will of man. It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. You ask that he become a provider and a father to your sons, yet know this: when we love God's Law, we reach forward to the peace of resignation to God, acquiescence in His will and conformity to it. It is of no use to quarrel with God. Let me say more, it is disgraceful, ungrateful and wicked, for a child of God to do so. Should he come, let it be God who sends him. Should he not, behold the sweet savor of that word, "love", to be loved of the great heart which sustains the universe, even in loneliness. Your love to God's Law will furnish you with a ceaseless stream of consolation.

Remember the vengeance of love, for when jealousy is stirred up, love makes a clean sweep of everything that comes in its way. God will not share the throne of your heart with a dream. He would take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name. Let the desire for a husband and a father for your boys be cast in the mold of holy submission. Make no provision for the flesh to dictate the will of God. Must it not mean that though we know the Lord Jesus, we should try to know more of Him, yes, to know all that can be known of that love which passes knowledge? Dread not the excitements which come from fellowship with Christ! Do not be afraid of being too happy in the Lord, or of being too sure of His salvation. God greatly loves this kind of confidence and He listens to those who possess it. Such people may ask what they will of God, they have learned to bring their minds into conformity with the will of God, so the desire of their heart shall be granted to them. But a heart set first on earth finds its prayers strangled in the birth.

He does not say, "I will if they will," but, "I will, and they shall," for He has the key of free agency, and when He turns it in the lock, without violating the free will of man, He makes him willing in the day of His power. Let your soul close with the promise that He will come to our deliverance in the time of trouble. Go, get alone, go into the wilderness of sweet sorrow, and let Him speak comfort into your ear. Eat, O friends: drink, yes, drink abundantly of His love, and let the rest fall as a leaf from the autumn tree if it be not His will.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
