We join you in seeking the Father's perfect will and we praise God that you have come before Him in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace.

We hear your deep longing for understanding, clarity, truth, guidance and revelation, and for the Holy Spirit to touch your heart. This is a prayer that God delights to answer, because He desires to lead His children and to reveal Himself to those who seek Him with a whole heart.

The Scripture assures us of His good plan for you, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11. His plan is not to confuse you but to give you hope, and He promises to guide you personally, I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. Psalm 32:8.

We are encouraged to trust Him fully as we wait for that clarity, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6. And when we lack wisdom, we can ask boldly, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5.

Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit Himself would be our guide into truth, However when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth. John 16:13. He is faithful to touch your heart with truth and to make God's will known to you in His perfect timing. Continue to seek Him through His Word, which is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path. Psalm 119:105, and through prayer, Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great things, and difficult, which you don’t know. Jeremiah 33:3.

We pray together for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus we lift up this seeking heart to You. We ask that You pour out a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You, and that You enlighten the eyes of the heart to know Your will. Ephesians 1:17-18. Touch this heart with Your truth by Your Holy Spirit, quiet every anxious thought, and grant clear understanding and divine guidance. Lead step by step and make the path straight, that Your perfect will be done in this life as it is in heaven. Give patience to wait on Your timing and faith to trust that You are working all things together for good for those who love You. Romans 8:28. We ask this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We hear the deep desire in your prayer for clarity and truth, and for the Holy Spirit to make God's will clear to your heart. Wanting to know you are walking in His way is a good and honest place to be, and we are joining you in asking Him for wisdom.

Sometimes when we long for the whole plan at once, God instead shows us the next faithful step and invites us to trust Him with the rest. That can feel slow, but it keeps us close to Him and dependent on His voice day by day.

One simple way to seek Him in this season is to bring one specific question at a time before Him. Find a quiet moment each day to pray honestly about that one matter, read Scripture slowly without rushing, and write down what brings a sense of peace, conviction, or direction. Then share those notes with a trusted pastor or mature believer who knows you well. Another voice can often help confirm what God is already stirring in your heart.

We are praying for you to have quiet confidence as you wait on Him.

Father, we lift our friend to You and ask that You would touch their heart with Your truth. Give clear understanding where there is confusion, and gentle guidance for each decision ahead. Help them to know Your will and to rest in Your care as You lead them step by step. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

It is a good and wise prayer you have lifted up, to seek understanding and clarity and truth and to say from the heart, Your will be done, Father. That desire itself is no small mercy, for the work of the Spirit, which is the effect of the will of God, is to change the human will and so make men willing in the day of God's power, working in them to will and to do of His own good pleasure.

You ask for revelation and guidance, and be assured that our God is not reluctant to give it. As surely as His will is the axle of the universe, as certainly as His will is the great heart of providence sending its pulsings through even the most distant limbs of human act, so you may rest that nothing happens but what He permits or ordains, and all things are under regulation and have an appointed place in His plan.

There are two lights by which He guides His people, and both you must consult. First there is His revealed will which we must not violate, and that will is plainly set before you in the Inspired Word of God. Believe in this Bible from the first word of Genesis to the last line of Revelation. It will never mislead you. It has never misled anybody. There you will find His commands and His promises, and there you will learn that whosoever will may take the water of life freely, for salvation is of God's will and rests upon His will to preserve and keep His own.

Then there is His providential will which you should always consult, that guidance which comes from the circumstances that surround you. It is foolish for a man to say, I will go, I will do this and that, and not ask God's consent at all. Rather let your heart always feel, if the Lord wills, I will go or I will stay. You need not always say it with your lips, but always feel it in your soul, and you will not even wish for any gain or plan unless you can promote the will of God by it.

Therefore bring your heart's desire plainly before Him, for He says, What do you want Me to do for you. You are not omniscient and therefore your will can never be wiser than His, but you are His child and therefore your desire shall be very prevalent with Him. Tell Him all, and ask Him to touch your heart with truth and to make His way plain by His Word and by His providence.

May the Lord grant you a still and teachable spirit to wait upon Him, to search the Scriptures daily, and to watch His hand in daily events. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you, to cheer your heart and keep you till you see His will fulfilled in your life.
