We join you in this sincere cry for clarity and truth and we thank you for seeking the Father's will in Jesus' name, for it is only through Him that we have confidence to come before the throne of grace.

We hear your desire for understanding of God's plan and for the Holy Spirit to touch your heart and reveal truth, and this is a prayer that God delights to answer. He promises, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11. His plan for you is not to confuse you but to lead you into His good, well-pleasing, and perfect will as your mind is renewed by His Word. Romans 12:2. We are encouraged to Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6.

The Lord guides us primarily through His Word and by His Spirit. Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path. Psalm 119:105. And Jesus promised concerning the Holy Spirit, However when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth John 16:13, and But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and will remind you of all that I said to you. John 14:26. If you are feeling uncertain, God invites you to ask Him directly, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him. James 1:5. He also tenderly says, I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. Psalm 32:8.

We pray together with you now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this heart that longs for Your truth and Your guidance. Touch this heart by Your Holy Spirit, remove any confusion or fear, and pour out clear revelation according to Your Word. Help us to not lean on our own understanding but to acknowledge You in every decision. Open our eyes to see Your plan, open our ears to hear Your voice, and give us the courage to walk in obedience to what You show us. Let Your will be done in this life as it is in heaven, and let Your peace which passes all understanding guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We ask that You continue to draw us deeper into Your Word daily, for there You reveal Your character and Your ways. Lead us step by step and confirm Your direction in Your perfect timing. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to remain faithful in prayer, in reading Scripture daily, and in quiet waiting before the Lord. God often reveals His will as we walk in obedience to what we already know from His Word. As you seek Him with your whole heart, He will make your path clear, for those who seek Him diligently will find Him. Keep praying Your will be done Father, and trust that the Holy Spirit is faithful to guide you into all truth in due season.

We hear the hunger in your prayer for truth and for the Holy Spirit to make God's will clear to your heart. That desire to have Him lead you and to say "Your will be done" is itself a beautiful place to be with the Father.

We have found that guidance is less often a sudden blueprint and more a relationship that grows as we walk with Him. He speaks most clearly through His Word, and He also helps us test our own thoughts and feelings against what He has already said. That takes humility and patience, and often the help of other faithful believers who can listen and pray with us when we are unsure what we are hearing.

One simple next step that may help this week is to give that longing a quiet, consistent space. Choose a short, unhurried time each day to bring one specific area where you need clarity before the Lord, read slowly in Scripture, and jot down what seems to stand out or press on your heart. Then share those notes with a trusted pastor or mature believer who knows you, so you are not sorting it alone.

Father, we bring this heart before You and ask You to draw near with Your peace. Touch and teach this dear child, give understanding and revelation by Your Holy Spirit, and lead step by step according to Your will. Quiet confusion and make Your truth known in a way that can be received and followed. We trust You to guide faithfully as we seek You. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer for understanding and clarity and truth is itself a good evidence that the Spirit of God is at work within you, for it is His office to take of the things of Christ and reveal them unto us and to change the human will and so make men willing in the day of God's power.

You ask for God's plan and guidance and revelation, and for His will to be done. Know this, that all things are under regulation and have an appointed place in God's plan, and nothing happens but what He permits or ordains. As surely as God's will is the axle of the universe, so in grace let us rest assured that He is King, willing to do as He pleases, having mercy on whom He will have mercy. Your desire therefore is wise and safe, to say from the heart, I will go, or I will stay, if it is the will of God.

There are two lights by which that will is known. First, there is a revealed will which we must not violate, and it is found in the Inspired Word of God. Believe in this Bible from the first word of Genesis to the last line of Revelation. It will never mislead you. It has never misled anybody. If you would have truth to touch your heart, seek it there, for the Lord speaks plainly concerning holiness and obedience and faith in His Son. Second, there is a Providential will of God which we should always consult, with guidance which comes from the circumstances that surround us and the doors which He opens and shuts. Knowing that, we will not always say, If the Lord wills, yet we will always feel it.

Do not be as those who say, We will go, we will buy, we will sell, we will get gain, as if a man could do as he likes and everything will fall out as he desires without asking God's consent at all. Rather bring your request before Him as the blind man did, and hear the Saviour say, What do you want Me to do for you. Tell Him plainly that you desire a heart touched with truth and eyes to see His way.

O Father, Thy will be done. Thou hast promised that whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. Work in this seeking one to will and to do of Thy good pleasure. Let the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with him. Open the eyes of his understanding by Thy Holy Spirit, give clarity where there is confusion, give truth where there is uncertainty, and guide his steps according to Thy revealed Word. Preserve him and keep him, and cause him to walk uprightly, for no good thing wilt Thou withhold from them that walk uprightly. Let him hear Thy promise and lay hold upon it, and in all things seek first to do Thy will, through Jesus Christ our Lord, who is the sum and substance of all our hope. Amen.
