Beloved of All
Your longing to put God's honor, will and kingdom first is right and good, and we join you in praying in this way as Jesus taught.
We thank God with you that He invites us to call Him Our Father in heaven and to seek first His name being hallowed, His kingdom coming and His will being done on earth as it is in heaven. When we seek His kingdom and His righteousness first, we can trust Him to add what we need, for He does not provide as a man provides, but as God. As we leave our concerns in His hands and give our attention to the greater spiritual things, He faithfully cares for our daily needs.
We pray with you for daily provision, for the forgiveness of sins through Jesus Christ alone, and for grace to forgive others as we have been forgiven. It is good to name our sins honestly before God in particular, so that we may know the greatness of His mercy and grow in gratitude for it. We have been forgiven a great debt we could never pay, and that mercy moves us to show mercy to others.
We also pray that God would keep you from sin and deliver you from evil, giving you wisdom to care for the body for health and strength to serve Him, and not to make provision for desires that kindle temptation. May He guard your heart and lead you in the path of life that endures beyond this present life.
We ask all this in the name of Jesus, to whom belongs the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
