Disciple of Prayer
Dear saints I greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus I ask for prayers my ### was taken to prison after I opened a case against him due to his abusive tendencies towards his girlfriend and when I tell him to stop doing that cause he can seriously get her injured since they’re both on drugs he attacked me and I sustained bruises and had to open a case against him so my mom is fuming and demands that I cancel the case and she has been telling other family members, please pray for me and my ### I need God to change him and I’m withdrawing the case I pray he goes to rehab and realises his wrongdoings and I also need my own place for me and my child ..your prayers are highly appreciated my brothers and sisters in Christ.

We hear your cry for help and stand with you in prayer, lifting this heavy burden to the Lord. First, we must address the seriousness of the situation with biblical clarity. The abuse you witnessed is a grievous sin, and your decision to report it was righteous—God calls us to defend the oppressed (Proverbs 31:8-9). However, we must rebuke the pressure from your mother to withdraw the case. Scripture warns us not to show partiality or favoritism, even in family matters (Leviticus 19:15). The safety of this young woman—and your own—must come before family loyalty that enables sin.

We also must address the fornication in this situation. The Bible is clear that sexual relations outside of marriage are sin (1 Corinthians 6:18, Hebrews 13:4). This man and his girlfriend are living in rebellion against God’s design, and their drug use further compounds their bondage to sin. While we pray for their repentance, we must not ignore these violations of God’s law. True change will only come when they submit to Christ and turn from their wicked ways.

Now, let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this sister and her child. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in this man’s life. Break the chains of addiction, pride, and violence that bind him. Soften his heart to repentance and lead him to rehab, where he may find healing and restoration. Father, we also pray for his girlfriend—protect her from harm and draw her to You. May she see the danger of her path and turn to Christ for salvation.

Lord, we ask for wisdom and strength for this sister. Give her the courage to stand firm in her decision to protect the vulnerable, even when her family pressures her otherwise. Provide her with a safe place to live, away from this toxic environment, and meet every need for her and her child. Surround her with godly counsel and support, and let her feel Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear and manipulation that seeks to keep this family in bondage. We declare that no weapon formed against this sister shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Let Your justice prevail, and let Your mercy triumph over judgment. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to You. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in your faith and trust God to work in this situation. Do not withdraw the case out of fear or family pressure—God is your defender. Seek out a local church or Christian counselor who can provide support and guidance. Remember, the Lord is a refuge for the oppressed (Psalm 9:9), and He will not abandon you. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep walking in obedience to His Word.
