God's children are being tortured for doing nothing but reacting to their torture

Please pray for the Lord to intervene and protect those who are being targeted with ongoing harassment and torture. Pray that the Lord would bring an end to this cycle of abuse and that the victims would find freedom and peace. Pray for justice and for the Lord to thwart the plans of those who carry out these attacks.

We join with you in bringing this heavy burden before the Lord, and we cry out together for His mercy, protection, and justice for those who are suffering under harassment and torture. Our hearts break for those who are being abused and then blamed for their very reaction to that abuse, and we know that God sees every hidden act of cruelty and hears every cry of the oppressed.

Scripture assures us that the Lord is close to those who suffer. Psalm 34:17-18 tells us the righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, Psalm 46:1, and we can rest in His promise in Isaiah 41:10, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We rebuke the evil of those who devise and carry out such torture and harassment. The Lord hates hands that shed innocent blood and hearts that devise wicked plans, Proverbs 6:16-18, and He will not leave the guilty unpunished. We pray that He will thwart the plans of the oppressors, for it is written that He frustrates the plans of the crafty, so that their hands can't achieve success, Job 5:12, and Yahweh brings the counsel of the nations to nothing. He makes the thoughts of the peoples to be of no effect, Psalm 33:10. Vengeance belongs to the Lord, and He will repay, Romans 12:19, and He will execute justice for the oppressed, Psalm 103:6.

We also want to lift up the precious name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved. You mentioned the Lord in your request, and we want to affirm together that Jesus is the Lord and the only way to the Father. As Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. It is by trusting in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection for our sins, that we become children of God, John 1:12, and can come boldly before His throne for help.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, lifting up every child of Yours who is being targeted, harassed, and tortured. Lord, You see what is done in secret, You hear every cry, and You know the pain of those who are trapped in this cycle of abuse. We ask You to intervene now with Your powerful hand. Surround the victims with Your protection as with a shield, Psalm 91:1-2, deliver them from the hands of evildoers, and hide them under the shadow of Your wings. Break the cycle of abuse, Lord, and bring it to an end. Let justice roll on like rivers, and thwart and expose every plan of those who carry out these attacks. Bring their wicked works into the light and stop them from harming others.

Father, we pray that You would bring freedom, healing, and Your peace which surpasses all understanding to guard their hearts and their thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:7. Comfort the brokenhearted, bind up their wounds, Psalm 147:3, restore what has been stolen, and lead them into safety and rest. We pray for Your perfect justice to be done, for You are a God of justice, Isaiah 30:18, and You have promised to hear the desire of the humble and to do justice for the fatherless and the oppressed, Psalm 10:17-18. We also pray that those who do evil would be convicted of their sin, that they would repent and turn from their wicked ways before Your judgment comes, for You desire that none should perish.

We trust in Your faithfulness, for You are faithful, who will establish and guard from the evil one, 2 Thessalonians 3:3. We thank You that You have not forgotten Your children and that You will act in Your perfect time and way. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

Thank you for bringing this burden before the Lord and before us. We hear your anguish for those who are being harassed and hurt, and your longing for that cycle to be broken.

We are joining you in prayer for protection and for justice. Ongoing abuse can leave people feeling powerless and exhausted, as though they will always be trapped in that place. We take comfort that God sees each person clearly, knows their worth, and does not overlook what is done in darkness.

If you are walking alongside anyone who is experiencing this kind of harm, one gentle way to help is to stay consistently present, listen without pressing for details, and encourage connection to a trusted pastor or safe, supportive community where they can be heard and cared for. You do not have to carry this alone either, so leaning on a few faithful people to pray with you can help sustain you as you intercede.

Father, we lift to You all who are being targeted and tormented. Please intervene with Your protection, thwart the plans of those who do harm, and make a way for freedom and peace. Bring justice in Your way and time, and surround those who suffer with safety, comfort and hope. Lead them toward healing and toward people who will treat them with dignity. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Please pray for the Lord to intervene and put an end to the torment being inflicted on the victims. Pray that He would remove those who are causing harm before the victims' health fails completely. Many have suffered physically and emotionally, and their silence has not brought relief. Pray for God's protection, healing, and deliverance for all who are being persecuted in this way.

Your cry has been heard and we join you in bringing it before the throne of grace, where our God delights to hear the prayers of His people.

There is a word of promise for such an hour as this, "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You." Even in this dark world of sin, the blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and that peace may be enjoyed even when sorrows are surging round. To be stayed upon Him, to acquaint thyself with God and be at peace, is to find that your peace shall be like a river, because your righteousness is Christ's.

We pray now for those who suffer under cruel harassment and torture. O Lord our God, look upon those who are afflicted and intervene with Your mighty arm. You are the One who delivers from the pit, who has found a ransom, and who brings forth Your people with effectual deliverance. Spread Your wings over those who are targeted, keep them in Your perfect keeping, and let them know that in Jesus' keeping they are safe. Bring an end, we beseech You, to this cycle of abuse. Break the power of darkness and grant to the victims freedom, rest, and that peace which passes all understanding.

We ask for justice according to Your holy character. You see every secret plan and every act of cruelty. Thwart, O Lord, the counsels of those who do evil, and let their devices come to nothing. As You have delivered Your church through many persecutions and refined Your people through fire, so now show that You reign, that You will not leave the cause of the oppressed unavenged, and that You will vindicate those who trust in Your name.

May those who suffer be enabled to trust wholly in the Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have peace with God, knowing that there is no other name by which we must be saved, and that in Him alone is our justification and our hope of deliverance. Sustain them day by day, teach them wisdom in their trial, and keep their minds stayed upon You till earthly struggles shall cease and You call them to Heaven's perfect peace.

We leave them in Your faithful hands, asking that You would comfort, protect, and in Your good time fully deliver, for Your glory. Amen.
