Grace to PRAY and Fast the Fast of God, Isa 58:6-12, (NOT a BOAST or SOUNDING a Trumpet before us but a REALITY of The UTTER INABILITY and INDISPOSITION within OURSELF to DENY THE FLESH and FEED The Holy SPIRIT), GRACE to be STRONG in The LORD, so we can STAND FIRM AGAINST the SCHEMES of the devil, Eph 6:10-11, for our WRESTLING MATCH is not against flesh and blood, but dark and invisible world forces of wickedness in the skies above, 12, so we take up HIS very weapons HE really used on earth (prayer, fasting, preaching, teaching, loving, suffering, DYING, RISING, communing with His Victorious Holy Spirit), to RESIST, and STAND FIRM, 13, We STAND FIRM with TRUTH and RIGHTEOUSNESS by FAITH, 14, Having EXPERIENCED and STUDIED, and DIGESTED the PURE GOSPEL of PEACE offered to GOD'S ENEMIES blinded by shatan, 15, EXTINGUISHING REAL HELLISH ATTACKS from a REAL ancient serpent with FAITH, 16, who must be BOUND to plunder those he deceived by with PRAYER, FASTING and PREACHING This WORD as a SWORD -- The Death of Messiah for the Wages of Sin in Our Place to Satisfy a Holy God, and Receiving HIS Righteousness as a GIFT, freely received, that changes our lives so much we are BORN AGAIN, assured of our SALVATION, 17, AND THE REST of THE ARMOR of GOD, "With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with THIS GOAL in VIEW, to BE on the ALERT with ALL PERSEVERANCE and PETITION for all the saints, 18, and pray on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel, 19, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak," Eph 6:12-20...

Thank You the Victory is the LORD's, Prov 21:31. You keep us from temptation, Lk 11:4, temptation and evil, Matt 6:13, evil people and the evil one, 2 Thes 3:2-3, John 17:15. By prayer and supplication with thanksgiving we let our requests be made known to God. And the PEACE of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:6-7. In Jesus are all the promises, therefore Our Yes and Amen, 2 Cor 1:20, in Jesus' Name, John 14:13-14.

We join you with one heart in this cry for the battle that belongs to the Lord and we say amen to your intercession before our Father in Heaven.

We agree that the battle is not ours but God's as it is written in 2 Chron 20:15, Do not be afraid, nor be dismayed by reason of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God's. We thank Him that He has given us authority to bind the ancient serpent as shown in Rev 20:1-2, and that He has opened our eyes to see that those who are with us are more than those who are with the enemy, for as it is written in 2 Kings 6:16, Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them. We stand on the truth that You who are in us is greater than he who is in the world, 1 John 4:4, and that this mystery is Christ in us, the hope of glory, Col 1:27.

We are stirred by your desire for grace to truly intercede and not merely to speak words. We pray for grace to be those watchmen spoken of in Isa 62:6-7 who never keep silent day or night until He establishes and makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth, and for hearts that sigh and cry for all the abominations as in Ezek 9:4, and to weep between the porch and the altar as in Joel 2:17 saying Spare your people, Yahweh. This is the burden of true intercession that comes only by the Holy Spirit and we ask the Lord to pour it out on us together.

We agree that our weapons are not of the flesh but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, 2 Cor 10:4-5, and that we serve in the power of truthful speech with weapons of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, 2 Cor 6:7. We ask for grace to pray and to fast with the fast He has chosen, to break the bonds of wickedness, to undo the bands of the yoke, and to let the oppressed go free, Isa 58:6-12, not as those who sound a trumpet before them to be seen by men, but from utter inability in ourselves and complete dependence on the Holy Spirit to deny the flesh and feed the spirit.

We take up with you the whole armor of God that we may be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might, Eph 6:10-11, remembering that our wrestling is not against flesh and blood but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world rulers of this darkness and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places, Eph 6:12. So we stand firm having girded our waist with truth and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, Eph 6:14, and having fitted our feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace, Eph 6:15, above all taking up the shield of faith with which we will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one, Eph 6:16, and taking the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God, Eph 6:17. This sword is the gospel itself, that Christ died for our sins to satisfy a holy God and that His righteousness is given as a free gift to all who believe, so that we are born again and assured of salvation.

We pray together now, Our Father in Heaven, we thank You that the victory belongs to You, Prov 21:31, and that You deliver us from temptation and from evil, Matt 6:13 and Luke 11:4, and that You are faithful who will guard us from the evil one and from evil people, 2 Thess 3:2-3, as Jesus prayed that You would keep us from the evil one, John 17:15. We come by prayer and petition with thanksgiving letting our requests be made known to You, and we receive Your peace which surpasses all understanding to guard our hearts and our thoughts in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:6-7. We ask for grace to pray at all times in the Spirit with all perseverance and petition for all the saints, Eph 6:18, and that utterance may be given to us in the opening of our mouth to make known with boldness the mystery of the Good News, Eph 6:19-20, for which we are ambassadors.

We thank You that all the promises of God find their Yes in Him and in Him the Amen to the glory of God through us, 2 Cor 1:20, and that whatever we ask in the name of Jesus You will do that the Father may be glorified in the Son, John 14:13-14. We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ our Lord, believing that He who is in us is indeed greater and that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and we rest in Your victory. We hear how deeply you want to walk faithfully with the Lord in prayer, to intercede with a true heart and to stand firm when the battle feels real and pressing. Your longing for grace to deny the flesh and be strengthened in Him, to weep over what grieves Him and to hold fast in truth and righteousness, is a burden we want to carry with you before the Father.

One insight that steadies many who feel this same urgency is that these disciplines grow more like training than trying. Like preparing for a long race, small, regular faithfulness over time shapes us more than one intense effort. That perspective can lift the weight of feeling you must attain everything at once, and instead invite you to keep showing up quietly before God, in prayer, in His Word, and alongside other believers who can help you persevere and stay alert.

It may help to share this desire with a pastor or a mature believer you trust, to have someone to pray with regularly and to seek wise counsel about fasting and spiritual warfare in a way that is sustainable and grounded.

Father, we thank You that You are present and that You hear us through Jesus. We ask You to give our friend grace to keep seeking You, to be renewed in strength and steadiness, and to know Your peace guarding heart and mind. Grant boldness to speak the hope of the gospel and perseverance to keep lifting up Your people. Keep and guard them from the evil one today. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your prayer is heard and it is right to come thus before the throne, for calling upon God in the day of trouble brings honor to Him in the very act. It is a truthful recognition that He is, and that He reigns, and that the battle is not yours but the Lord's, as it is written, the battle is the Lord's, 2 Chronicles 20:15.

We rejoice with you in these sure truths, that greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world, 1 John 4:4, and that Christ in you is the hope of glory, Colossians 1:27, and that they that be with us are more than they that be with them, 2 Kings 6:16. When grace enters the heart it teaches us that our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, against wicked spirits in high places, Ephesians 6:12, and therefore our weapons must not be carnal but mighty through God, 2 Corinthians 10:4.

Intercessory prayer is among the sweetest prayers God ever hears, for the prayer of Christ Himself is of this character, and it is exceedingly prevalent. It has stayed plagues and turned the counsel of the enemy. To sigh and cry over abominations, Ezekiel 9:4, to weep between the porch and the altar, Joel 2:17, to watch as watchmen upon the walls who give Him no rest, Isaiah 62:6, this is an obligation laid upon every child of God for the rest of the sacred family, and it knits our hearts together in love. When God gives any man much grace, it is with the design that he may use it for the rest of the household. Pray him down, brother, pray him down, and have duel with the adversary with this chosen weapon of all prayer, for if you prevail with God, God will deal with man.

Therefore take unto you the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand in the evil day. Stand firm with truth girded about you and righteousness as a breastplate, having your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace, taking the shield of faith wherewith you shall quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one, and the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God, Ephesians 6:14 to 17. That sword is the faithful preaching of the death of Messiah for sin in our place to satisfy a holy God, and the free gift of His righteousness received by faith, whereby we are born again and assured of salvation. This is the fast that God has chosen, Isaiah 58:6, not a sounding of a trumpet before men, but a true denying of the flesh that we may feed the Spirit, and be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

Be of good cheer, for the victory of our Lord Jesus Christ is sure. It is a divine promise, and has He said and shall He not do it. The Father has given Him the victory and the Son has taken it with His own right hand, having gone down into the ground as a buried grain of wheat that a great harvest might spring to the glory of God. Even now we face a vanquished foe, for Christ has overcome the world, John 16:33. He is the God of the hills and the God of the valleys also, and He waits till His people believe Him, and when His Church with brave confidence is sure of victory, victory shall certainly come to her.

Let us pray together to that end. Our Father in heaven, we thank You that the victory belongs to You, Proverbs 21:31, that You keep us from temptation and deliver us from evil and from the evil one, Matthew 6:13, Luke 11:4, 2 Thessalonians 3:3. We ask for grace to intercede indeed, to be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints, Ephesians 6:18, to pray at all times in the Spirit, with thanksgiving making our requests known unto You, that the peace of God which passes all understanding may guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6 and 7. Grant utterance with boldness to make known the mystery of the gospel, Ephesians 6:19, that by prayer and fasting and preaching of the Word the ancient serpent may be bound, Revelation 20:1 and 2, and those he has deceived may be plundered for Your kingdom. We ask this in the name of Jesus, in whom all the promises are Yes and Amen, 2 Corinthians 1:20, and whatsoever we ask in His name You will do, John 14:13. Amen.
