god

God hears your cry even when it comes in only a few broken words. He sees the heart that begs for help and He does not turn away from it.

Scripture tells us to come boldly to the throne of grace so that we may find mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Now is that time. Now is the accepted time, the day of salvation. While we are in this life the throne is still a throne of grace, and God sits there granting pardon to all who come to Him with an honest heart. Do not wait and do not doubt, but come near to Him now just as you are.

You may feel unworthy or afraid because of sin, but remember what God did for Paul who called himself the chief of sinners, a blasphemer and a persecutor. God did not only have mercy on him, He made him faithful and showed in him how great His longsuffering is, so that no one after him would despair. If God showed such mercy to him, He will show mercy to you when you call upon Him through Jesus Christ.

There is salvation in Jesus Christ alone. Come to Him in repentance and faith, confessing your need and trusting that He died and rose again to forgive you. He is merciful and ready to help, and His mercy is far greater than any human mercy. As you receive His mercy, also be ready to show mercy to others and to forgive as you have been forgiven, for the merciful shall obtain mercy.

I pray for you now that God will lift your burden, give you peace, and draw you close to Himself. May He grant you grace in this moment of need, wash away your sins through Christ, and give you strength to walk with Him each day. Keep calling upon Him, keep seeking Him in prayer and in His Word, and trust that He hears and will answer according to His goodness and love.

Your cry for help has not gone unheard. God hears the desperate prayer, even when it comes with few words and much pain.

Scripture tells us that man is born to trouble as surely as sparks fly upward, and no one knew that more deeply than Job. In his anguish he begged God to answer him, even wishing that God would take his life to end his suffering. His words sounded like wind to those around him who did not understand, but God understood the depth of his desperation. You may feel that others cannot grasp what you are carrying, yet God does.

That kind of desperation is often the very place where God meets us. In His great love He sometimes allows us to come to the end of ourselves, to a place where we have nowhere else to turn, so that we will turn to Him and surrender our lives fully to Him. What feels like abandonment can be His mercy drawing you to Himself. He is gracious and merciful, and any time is a good time to turn to Him, especially when all seems desperate.

For every cry that came from Job, God has provided an answer in Jesus Christ. Through Jesus, God has made provision for the deepest needs of our hearts, forgiveness, peace, presence, and hope. Your righteousness and your rescue cannot come from yourself, but only through faith in Jesus Christ who suffered and died for you and rose again.

So seek the Lord now. Tell Him honestly what you have told Him here, that you need Him and you are begging for His help. Place your trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation and for help in this hour. Who knows what good and gracious things He has prepared for you, far beyond what you could imagine. He is able to do great things for those who turn to Him.

May the Lord show you His mercy today, lift you up, and give you peace as you cast yourself wholly upon Him.
