Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your cry to God for help out of anxiety has been heard, and I thank you for sharing it so honestly. The Lord knows the weight you carry and He invites you to bring it to Him without holding back.
Scripture teaches us not to be consumed by anxious care, but to cast all our cares upon Him because He cares for you. Anxiety often grows when our hearts are pulled in many directions, worrying about what may happen tomorrow, about provision, about what others think, or about fears that press upon the soul. Christ trains His people to be freed from that kind of care, not by our own strength, but by learning to trust Him more deeply, to seek first His kingdom, and to fear Him above all other fears. When we remember that our soul is safe in His hands, that He who numbers our days also sustains us each day, the things that once held us in dread begin to lose their power.
God does not want you to remain in that net of worry. He promises a peace that passes understanding to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus when you bring your requests to Him with prayer and thanksgiving. That peace is not the absence of trouble, but the presence of Christ Himself with you in it.
Let us pray together for you.
Father in heaven, I lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, through whom alone we have access to Your mercy and salvation. You see this anxiety and You know its source and its weight. Lord, have mercy and draw near. Help this heart to cast every care upon You, to hear Your voice above every fear, and to rest in Your faithful care. Fill this soul with Your peace, renew the mind with Your truth, and teach this life to trust You day by day. Give wisdom to take each step, to walk in Your ways, and to find strength and comfort in Your Word and in fellowship with Your people. Lead out of anxiety into the security and liberty that are found in Christ alone. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
Continue to bring your anxieties to God in prayer throughout each day, stay rooted in Scripture, and share your burden with a faithful pastor or mature believer who can walk with you and pray with you regularly. If anxiety remains heavy, please also seek help from trusted pastoral and, if needed, professional support in your community. God is near to those who call upon Him, and He will not forsake you as you seek Him.
