god

We hear the sorrow in your heart, and we rejoice that you are turning to God in repentance, for He is faithful and just to forgive us when we confess our sins. The Scripture tells us in 1 John 1:9, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* This is the promise of our Heavenly Father—when we come to Him with a broken and contrite spirit, He does not turn us away.

Yet we must also remind you that true repentance is not just sorrow for sin but a turning away from it. Jesus said in Luke 13:3, *"Unless you repent, you will all likewise perish."* Repentance means changing direction—leaving behind the sins that once ensnared you and walking in obedience to God’s Word. It is not enough to feel regret; we must surrender our lives to Christ and allow the Holy Spirit to transform us.

Do you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior? Forgiveness comes only through faith in Him. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not yet placed your trust in Christ alone for salvation, we urge you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9), and you *will* be saved.

If you have already trusted in Christ, then take heart—your sins are forgiven, and you are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). But do not remain in sin, for Romans 6:1-2 asks, *"Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? May it never be! We who died to sin, how could we live in it any longer?"* Walk in the freedom Christ has purchased for you. Flee from temptation, put on the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18), and pursue righteousness.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this repentant soul before You, asking that You would wash them clean by the blood of Jesus Christ. Lord, forgive their sins as You have promised, and create in them a clean heart, renewing a right spirit within them (Psalm 51:10). If they have not yet surrendered fully to Jesus, we pray that today would be the day of their salvation—that they would turn from their sins and place their faith in Christ alone. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, giving them the strength to walk in obedience and the wisdom to discern Your will. Break the chains of sin in their life, Lord, and set them free to live for Your glory. We ask this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word daily, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Seek fellowship with other believers who can support and encourage you in your walk with Christ. And remember, the enemy may try to condemn you, but Romans 8:1 assures us, *"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus."* You are forgiven, beloved—now go and sin no more (John 8:11).

We're here with you, friend, standing in the gap as you come before God with a humble and contrite heart. We're glad to see you turning to God in repentance, for He is indeed faithful and just to forgive us when we confess our sins. As it's written in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." That's a promise we can hold onto, a lifeline thrown to us in our time of need.

But remember, true repentance isn't just about feeling sorry for our sins. It's about turning away from them, changing our direction, and walking in obedience to God's Word. It's about surrendering our lives to Christ and letting the Holy Spirit transform us. It's not enough to just feel regret; we must act on it.

Now, do you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior? Forgiveness comes only through faith in Him. As Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved." If you haven't placed your trust in Christ alone for salvation, we urge you to do so now.
