Actually, that could apply the other way too, sometimes the offspring get saved, and the parents are still unsaved and into certain sins.In my family ,it's that way,I'm the only one who got saved.{including other loved ones than immediate family }I was "drawn" towards Biblical things. from an early age, then became a believer after reading a Christian book.I've called many prayer lines about getting them saved, but so far, my mother is into the occult{fascinated by it}, my sister the same, and I have an aunt who hates Christians so much that if you just mention the words "Christian" or Christainity, she "flips out"{Sometimes you don't even have to mention it,she brings the subject around to that.}The subject of unsaved loved ones is probably a common thing for Christians.
Yes, it's true. It happens in many families where they have no idea about Christ or the true God. But once a person is converted to Christianty or saved then he or she has to follow/ obey the verse, Hosea 4 : 6 for their children to be blessed.
In Ezekiel chapter 18 : 2 And 19, 20 we read parents sins are nothing to do with the children if they are rhiteous.
Ezekiel 18:2-3 King James Version (KJV)
2. What mean ye, that ye use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge?
3. As I live, saith the Lord God, ye shall not have occasion any more to use this proverb in Israel.
19 Yet say ye, Why? doth not the son bear the iniquity of the father? When the son hath done that which is lawful and right, and hath kept all my statutes, and hath done them, he shall surely live.
20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.
By His grace we are saved. Are we not?
Ephesians 2 : 5
5. even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved).
Of course, we are very much burdened for the souls of our dear ones, as, we know what would happen to them when they are unsaved.
But our Lord is faithful to save them if we persistently ask Him for their salvation.
Luke 11:8 King James Version (KJV)
8. I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.
May the Lord save all your dear ones and my prayers will be there for them until I hear from you that they are saved. I believe one day I will hear that good news.
Luke 1:37
37. For with God nothing shall be impossible.
God bless you.
