GOD TO HELP MY PARENTS TO SEARCH ME A WIFE SOON

Eruirierael

Disciple of Prayer
DEAR BRETHERN- I HAVE DEEP DESIRE TO GET MARRIED SOON WITHOUT A DELAY OR WAITING I AM ALMOST IN MID TWENTIES BUT I DONT WANT TO MARRY LATE BY COMPROMISING MY DESIRE IN PARTNER. I TALKED WITH MY MOM REGARDING THIS 2 TIMES I ALSO ASKED HER TO START SEARCHING. BUT I DID SOMETHING WHICH IS BEYOND THE SCRIPTURE. I HAPPEN TO CONSULT A ASTROLOGER REGARDING WHEN WILL MARRIAGE TAKE PLACE AND HE TOLD IT WILL GET DELAYED PAST 30. HEARING THAT I AM NOW AFRAID. HE TOLD MY PAST ACCURATELY. NO I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO HAVING THIS DESIRE AND ALSO WHILE MY FRIENDS GET MARRIED I AM SINGLE I CANT TOLERATE SEEING THAT LONELINESS.ITS BETTER TO QUIT MY LIFE. I DONT KNOW WHY THEY ARE DELAYING MY MARRIAGE. I AM ALSO SAVING 90 % OF MY SALARY FOR MARRIAGE EXPENSE WITH THAT ONE FOCUS. NOW I AM NOT ABLE TO GET MARRIED SOON. THEN WHY THE HELL GOD PLACED THIS DESIRE IN MY HEART. ITS VERY DIFFICULT TO SIT WITH THIS. I DONT FEEL LIKE GOING TO CHURCH ANYMORE. BECAUSE OF FEELING SINGLENESS. ITS VERY EASY TO SAY THAT WE HAVE BE CLOSER TO HIM OTHER THAN MARRIAGE AND ALL. EVEN AFTER IN SCRIPTURE HE GAVE FREWILL TO MARRY THEN WHY HE IS DELAYING IT. ITS LIKE PREDESTINED ONE THE WAY HE DOES. OR ELSE GOD SHOULD TAKE AWAY ME FROM THIS WORLD WITH A CRAIAC ARREST OR HEART ATTACK. BECAUSE MANY YOUTH DIE LIKE THAT . RATHER THAN TO BE ALIVE FOR YEARS AND EXPERINCE HIS DELAY. THIS IS NOT FAIR. OR ELSE I WANT TO GET MARRIED BY CHANGING MY RELIGION SOON. I DONT WANT TO STAY IN THIS IF THIS IS THE CASE. ITS VERY UNFAIR THE WAY HE DOES. I AM NOT BOOSTING BUT OUT OF GRIVF I AM TELLING THAT I AM ALSO CHURCH PIANO PLAYER FOR PAST 8 YEARS. EVEN IF I AM SICK ALSO I USED TO GO AND DO THE MINISTRY AS HE GIVES ME GRACE FREELY WITHOUT MONEY OR FAME. BUT NOW WHEN MY TURN CAME HE IS DELAYING MAKE ME FRUSTRATED AND ANXIOUS. DONNT KNOW HOW TO LIVE DAYS. PARENTS ARE NOT ALLOWING ME AT ALL. THATS ANOTHER FACTOR I AM DONE WITH THIS. PLS PRAY SO THAT GO MIGHT EITHER BLESS ME VERY SOON WITHOUT ANYMORE DELAYS.

We hear the deep pain and loneliness in your heart and we have lifted you up before the Lord together. Your desire to be married is not wrong, it is good and godly. For it is written Genesis 2:18 It is not good that the man should be alone and Proverbs 18:22 Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh. We understand the ache you feel when you see friends entering marriage while you wait, and we pray that God will give you peace while you wait upon Him.

We must lovingly rebuke and correct you where you have stepped outside of Scripture. You said you consulted an astrologer and that you were afraid because he told you your marriage will be delayed past thirty and told your past accurately. My dear brother, this is forbidden by God and is an abomination to Him. There shall not be found with you anyone who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer Deuteronomy 18:10, and Do not turn to those who are mediums, nor to the wizards Leviticus 19:31. Even if an astrologer seems to know something, his source is not the Holy Spirit but deceiving spirits, and to seek him is to turn away from the Lord who alone knows the future. We urge you to repent before God for this, to renounce and turn away from all astrology and divination completely, and to ask Him for forgiveness. The fear you now carry does not come from God, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. Do not let the word of a fortune teller shape your future. Only God orders your steps, and His plans for you are good Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.

We also must address with great seriousness and compassion the words you spoke out of grief and anxiety. You said it is better to quit your life, that God should take you with a cardiac arrest or heart attack, and that you do not want to live for years and experience His delay, and you used careless language toward God saying why the hell did He place this desire in you, and that you want to change your religion to get married soon. We rebuke this thinking in love because it does not align with truth. Your life is precious to God, you are fearfully and wonderfully made Psalm 139:14, and your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. You shall not murder Exodus 20:13 includes not taking your own life, and despair is a lie from the enemy who wants you to believe God has forgotten you. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. To threaten to leave Christ and change your religion is to forsake the only way to the Father. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. You must not trade your eternal soul for a quicker marriage. Also let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth Ephesians 4:29, even in grief we must honor the Lord with our lips.

We also notice you did not mention the name of Jesus in your request. We say this gently but firmly, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and that our prayers are heard. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. We encourage you to put your full trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, for He alone can forgive your sins including seeking an astrologer, and give you peace that passes understanding.

Your frustration with your parents, with waiting, with feeling single at church, and with your ministry as a piano player for eight years is understandable, but God is not being unfair to you. His ways are higher than our ways Isaiah 55:8-9, and He makes everything beautiful in its time Ecclesiastes 3:11. Being in your mid twenties is not late, it is still very young, and many godly marriages begin after that age in the perfect timing of God. Waiting is not punishment, it is preparation. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding Proverbs 3:5-6. Do not forsake the assembling of yourselves together Hebrews 10:25, especially when you feel lonely, for that is when you need the body of Christ most. Your faithful service without money or fame has been seen by God, and He will not forget your work Hebrews 6:10, but do not serve Him to bargain for marriage. Serve Him because you love Him. Continue to honor your parents as commanded in Ephesians 6:2, speak to your mother and father again with respect and patience, not with demand, and trust God to move their hearts. Saving ninety percent of your salary shows diligence, but do not make marriage an idol that consumes all your joy. Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart Psalm 37:4. Seek first Gods Kingdom Matthew 6:33 and He will provide a godly wife in His time.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You only in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We confess and repent on behalf of our brother for seeking an astrologer and for giving place to fear, and we ask You to forgive him and cleanse him by the blood of Jesus, and to break every chain of divination and fear over his mind. Lord, heal his broken heart, lift the spirit of loneliness, anxiety, and despair, and take away every thought of quitting life or asking for death. Fill him with Your peace which surpasses all understanding Philippians 4:7 and with hope. Father, we ask You to comfort him in his singleness, to help him to wait on You and be strong, let his heart take courage Psalm 27:14, and to trust that Your timing is perfect. Lord, we pray for his parents, that You would give them wisdom and open their hearts to diligently and prayerfully seek a godly Christian wife for him, a believing spouse who loves You, for we know we should not be unequally yoked with unbelievers 2 Corinthians 6:14. Lead him to a courtship that honors You and leads to a lifelong marriage between a man and a woman as You ordained. Provide for his marriage needs according to Your riches, and help him to use his musical gift with joy again in Your house. Restore his desire to be in Your presence and to fellowship with believers. Let him know how deeply he is loved and that You work all things together for good for those who love You Romans 8:28. Keep him from turning to another religion or any other way, and anchor him firmly in Jesus Christ. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, Amen.

We encourage you, brother, cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7. Bring every anxious thought to Him in prayer Philippians 4:6. Stay close to Christ, stay in the church, stay in the Word, and flee from all astrology and occult practices. If despair grows heavy, please reach out immediately to a trusted pastor, family member, or godly counselor and do not remain alone. God has not forgotten you, and your story is not over. Wait for Yahweh, be strong, and He will strengthen your heart.

We are so thankful you shared this honestly, and because you mentioned wanting to quit life and asking God to take you with a heart attack, we want to pause for your safety first.

We hear how heavy this feels. You are in your mid ###, saving so faithfully for marriage, serving ### years as a piano player even when sick, and now watching friends get married while you feel left behind and lonely. It makes sense that hearing an astrologer say marriage will be delayed past ### would stir fear, especially when he seemed to know your past. That prediction does not have to set your future, and we understand why it has left you anxious and frustrated with God, with your parents, and even with church.

When those thoughts of not wanting to live come, please talk with a pastor or a trusted counselor right away, alongside prayer and not instead of it. A caring professional and a pastor who knows you can help carry the loneliness and pressure you are feeling. It can also help to have one calm, honest conversation with your parents about your desire and timeline, and to ask one mature believer you respect to walk with you and your parents in the search process.

Father, we lift this young brother to You. You see his desire for marriage, his faithfulness in serving, and the ache of waiting and comparison. Guard his life, quiet his fear, and surround him with people who will listen and stay close. Give him and his parents wisdom and peace as they take next steps, and help him know he is not alone. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your letter has been read with heaviness of heart and with earnest prayer before the Lord for you. The desire you express for marriage is in itself honorable, for marriage is ordained of God and is a holy covenant, not lightly to be entered, cemented by mutual love and choice under His providence. To seek a wife in the Lord and to desire a home where Christ is honored is not to be blamed, but to be brought humbly before God.

Yet you have turned aside in a way which you yourself confess is beyond Scripture. You consulted an astrologer concerning your future, and having heard his word you are now afraid. Hear this plainly, that office belongs to darkness and not to light. The stars do not fix your times, the Lord does. Though the man seemed to tell your past aright, that gives him no authority over your future. Such arts are forbidden to the people of God, for they set up a false oracle in place of the living Word. You must turn from it fully, confess it as sin before God, and seek His forgiveness through the blood of Christ. Do not let the word of a soothsayer govern your heart when the Word of the Lord says, the times are in His hand.

From that fear has grown a great anxiety which now unfits you for present duty. Anxiety has never comforted any man, nor brought any grist to the mill. It does not hasten marriage, it does not add one cubit to your stature, it only wearies the soul and makes you less able to meet the very trial you fear. You are saving with care, you are serving in the house of God at the piano these eight years, even when sick, and this is commendable diligence. But prudence must not become fretfulness. To watch your friends enter marriage while you remain single is a sharp loneliness, and loneliness has its sting. Our Lord Himself knew what it was to be left alone when He most needed human sympathy, and yet He could say, I am not alone, because the Father is with me. If you are His, you are never utterly alone, though friends seem to leave you in the hour of waiting.

You write words which compel me to speak very tenderly and very plainly. You say it is better to quit your life, that God should take you with a sudden stroke, and that you will change your religion if He delays. This is the language of despair, and despair is a grievous evil. It insults the mercy of God, it crowns the adversary in Christ's stead, and it degrades a man below the very creatures who struggle for life till their last breath. No man has a right to despair while God lives and while Christ invites sinners to come. No text in Scripture gives you leave to despair, and to speak of self destruction is to speak of willful sin against Him who gave you life. If such thoughts press upon you still, I entreat you do not keep them to yourself. Go at once to a godly pastor, to your parents, to a faithful brother in the church, and tell them plainly how you are beset, that they may watch with you and pray for you and help you to bear this burden. Should the darkness deepen, seek also the help of those near you without delay.

You ask why God placed this desire in your heart if He delays its fulfillment, and you feel it unfair that He should keep you waiting. The Lord does not plant desire to mock you. He often keeps His children waiting that they may learn to delight in Him first, and that when the gift comes it may be received with thankfulness and not with idolatry. It is not for us to demand of Him that He act by our calendar. He has given freedom to marry in the Lord, yet every good gift comes in His perfect time and by His wise providence. To threaten to leave Christ if He does not answer at once is to treat His grace as wages for service. Your eight years of playing, offered freely without money or fame as you say, was graciously accepted, but it was never a price to purchase a wife. We serve Him because we love Him, not to compel Him.

You say you do not feel like going to the house of God any more because of this singleness. That is the very place you most need. Do not forsake the assembling of yourselves together. There the Lord hears the voice of supplication even when it comes from the gates of despair. The soul that cries out of its depths is heard beyond the promise. Saints who now shine brightest in heaven have sat weeping at those same gates and found mercy.

Concerning your parents, honor them and speak with them again, not in heat but in quiet reverence. Tell them simply and patiently of your desire and ask them to seek the Lord with you for a godly wife, one who loves Christ above all. A true marriage must be of choice on both sides before God, not forced and not hasty, and a wife who fears the Lord is worth waiting for beyond gold.

We will pray for you, not as you have worded it that God must bless you very soon without any more delays according to your will, for we dare not dictate to Him, but that He will have mercy upon you and do what is best. We will pray that He forgive what was done in consulting the astrologer, that He lift from you this fear and this fretfulness, that He keep you from all thoughts of self harm and from forsaking the faith, that He give you peace in waiting and joy in His presence, that He guide your parents with wisdom, and that in His own good time He provide for you a wife who is a helpmeet in the Lord, if it be His will for your life. And we will pray that whether married or single, you may know yourself betrothed to Christ, who as the Lamb shed His blood to make His people His own, and who will never leave nor forsake those who trust Him.

Keep close to Christ. Turn from that forbidden counsel, cast your anxiety upon Him who cares for you, continue in the means of grace, and let your supplication be heard. The Lord who heard the cry from despair in the psalm will hear yours if you cry to Him in truth.
