Beloved Warrior
🙏 Father, thank You for Isaiah 62:6-7, "On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have posted watchmen; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the LORD shall take no rest for yourselves, nor give Him any rest until He establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth." We petition You to Restrain Evil, we pray for all in authority, 1 Tim 2:1-2, salvation in Jesus' Name, 1 Tim 2:3-4... 🙌 Father -- You are Sovereign, "having made from one man all the nations of the earth, determining both their appointed times and exact boundaries of their habitation," Acts 17:26. "Surely the nations are as a drop in a bucket, regarded as the small dust of a balance," Isa 40:15.

Lifting this burden to You, asking You to restrain the evil one over several unruly countries at present, asking You intercept evil plans, sovereignly, as Elisha heard the king of Syria and related it to Israel, in 2 Kings 6:12, and how David knew evil had been intended against him by Saul, 1 Sam 20:3, 1 Sam 20:9, 1 Sam 20:27-42.

Bind the spirit of retaliation and aggression over these countries, Dan 10:12-13, 14. Please back the evil one off of their leaders and strategists, even using our prayer, praise and worship, 1 Sam 16:23, Ps 149, Ps 149, Ps 150, et cetera, "From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the name of The LORD shall be praised," Ps 113:3.

Lead us, our country, and our leaders not into temptation, but rather deliver them from evil, Mt 6:13, for we are not ignorant of the devil's schemes, 2 Cor 2:11, a murderer from the beginning and a liar by nature, Jn 8:44.

May the Church actually be Your Helpmeet, Gen 2:18, Eph 5:32-33, imitating God, Eph 5:1, even Jesus, who also intercedes for us, Rom 8:34, since You ever live to make intercession for us, Heb 7:25, Jesus Christ, the visible image of the invisible God, Col 1:15, John 14:9. "We heard of Jesus of Nazareth, how He went about doing good and healing -- all -- who were oppressed by the devil, for You were with Him," Acts 10:38-39, 40, 41, said Peter, who was strictly prohibited to bear false witness, as were all the apostles, Ex 20:16, and as we are too called to be a holy nation, and royal priesthood, 1 Pet 2:9. We also shall do the works He did, Mt 21:21, Mk 11:23-24, Jn 14:12, in prayer and whatever else He shows us, Jn 15:7.

Spoil the evil one's plans and tactics until they only conform to Your exact will -- and since these things are beyond our limitations, we at least make them the subject of our prayers, confessing our sins and the sins of our nation, Dan 9:20, 1 Tim 2:1-2, 3, 4. Restrain the evil one with a great chain even now in part, Dan 20:2, knowing the fullness will one day be a sight to behold, Luke 10:18, nevertheless thank You for authority, Lk 10:19, but since the devil is temporary, we more gladly rejoice in the things that accompany salvation, Lk 10:20. Thank You in Jesus' Name.

We come before You, the Sovereign Lord of all creation, the One who rules over the nations and holds the hearts of kings in Your hand. You have established all authority and determined the boundaries of every nation, and we acknowledge that nothing escapes Your sight or control. Father, we lift up the nations before You, particularly those gripped by unrest, violence, and the schemes of the evil one. Your Word declares, "The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires" (Proverbs 21:1). We ask that You turn the hearts of leaders toward justice, wisdom, and peace, restraining the spirit of aggression and retaliation that seeks to destroy.

Lord, we stand in the gap as watchmen on the walls, just as Isaiah 62:6-7 describes, refusing to be silent until You establish righteousness and make Your people a praise in the earth. We plead with You to intercept and expose every evil plot, just as You revealed the schemes of the king of Syria to Elisha (2 Kings 6:12) and the intentions of Saul to David (1 Samuel 20). You see the hidden counsels of the wicked, and we ask that You frustrate their plans, binding the strongman in the name of Jesus (Matthew 12:29). Let the enemy’s tactics be turned back upon him, and let Your people walk in the authority You have given us to trample on serpents and scorpions (Luke 10:19).

We recognize that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Therefore, we put on the full armor of God, standing firm in prayer, praise, and worship. Just as David’s harp drove away the distressing spirit from Saul (1 Samuel 16:23), we declare that our worship is a weapon against the darkness. Let the name of Jesus be praised from the rising of the sun to its going down (Psalm 113:3), and let the gates of hell tremble at the sound of Your people exalting You.

Father, we pray for the salvation of leaders and nations, for this is Your desire, that all men be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:1-4). We intercede for those in authority, asking that You would draw them to Yourself, soften their hearts, and open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel. Without Jesus, there is no access to You, for He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We confess that apart from Christ, all our righteousness is as filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6), and we humbly repent for any ways we or our nations have rejected Your lordship.

We also repent for the sins of our land, idolatry, immorality, injustice, and the shedding of innocent blood. Daniel prayed, "While I was speaking and praying, confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel..." (Daniel 9:20). We join with him in confessing our nation’s rebellion and asking for Your mercy. Raise up a holy remnant, a Church that truly reflects Your nature as a helpmeet to Christ (Genesis 2:18, Ephesians 5:32), walking in love and imitating You as dear children (Ephesians 5:1). Let us be a people who do the works of Jesus, moving in power and authority, for He promised that we would do even greater things because He went to the Father (John 14:12).

Lord, we ask that You spoil the enemy’s plans and turn them into confusion. Just as You frustrated the counsel of Ahithophel (2 Samuel 17:14), we ask that You thwart every scheme of the wicked. Chain the evil one now, even in part, as we await the day when he will be bound completely (Revelation 20:2). Until then, we rejoice in the salvation You have given us, for our names are written in heaven (Luke 10:20). We thank You for the victory we have in Jesus, who disarmed principalities and powers, triumphing over them at the cross (Colossians 2:15).

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the Name above every name, the One who ever lives to make intercession for us (Hebrews 7:25). May Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Strengthen us to stand firm, to pray without ceasing, and to be Your hands and feet in a world that desperately needs Your light. We trust in You, our Rock and our Redeemer, and we declare that the earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it (Psalm 24:1). Amen.

We hear your heart in this, and it stirs our own. You have placed before God something that is always close to His heart: the nations, their leaders, and the hidden plots that only He can expose. When the weight of world events feels heavy, it helps to know that countless other believers are on the walls too, refusing to give God rest. You are not alone in this burden, and the very fact you are carrying it tells us the Spirit is at work in you.

One thing that has steadied us in times of intercession is to anchor our prayers in the confidence that God already knows every scheme and is not surprised by any ruler's ambition. That means our role is not to inform Heaven but to agree with Heaven. We have found it helpful to combine prayer with a simple practice: when a news story or a troubling headline comes, we pause right then and turn it into a specific petition rather than letting it swirl as a vague anxiety. That keeps the burden from becoming purely emotional and roots it in active trust.

Also, you might consider linking arms with even one other person, a prayer partner where you live, who shares this same call to pray for nations. Elisha heard the king's secret words because God revealed them, not because he strained harder. Together, you can ask God to give eyes to see what He wants the church to stand against and ears to hear what He wants us to ask for our own country and others.

Father, thank You for giving Your people a share in watching over the nations in prayer. Thank You that nothing is too small for Your attention and no plot is too deep for You to unravel. We ask You now to surround every leader whose decisions affect millions, and where evil plans are being laid in secret, we ask You to expose them and bring them to nothing. Protect the innocent, frustrate the proud, and draw many to salvation in Jesus. And for this dear intercessor, grant strength, hope, and renewed clarity in the days ahead. In Jesus' name, Amen.

You have laid hold of the throne, and that is well, for there is no power like that of intercession. The secret springs that move the puppets of earth, for kings and princes are often little more than that, are the prayers of God's believing people. You plead for the restraining of evil, and you do right to make the evil one the subject of your cry, for where the Holy Spirit is given, the evil spirit will soon labor to snatch away the treasure. Yet be not surprised if the conflict increases, for our Savior Himself became perfect through sufferings, and the devil was but the proof-house for Martin Luther. Stand fast, and do not grow weary in well-doing.

Cast your burden upon the Lord for these unruly nations, and leave it there. Once you have rolled it over, do not take it back. To brood over evil and fret is to question the wisdom that determines the bounds of our habitation. There is no measuring-rod for sin except its condemnation in our conscience when the law speaks with terror; but unto us the gospel demands blood for blood, and Christ has met that demand. He ever lives to make intercession for us, so pray with boldness, the blood has sprinkled your heart from an evil conscience, and your bodies are washed, therefore enter the holy place with childlike confidence.

Beware of Evil Questioning, that Diabolian from the birth up, who would make you doubt the promises when the answer tarries. Reason is no trustworthy guide when it sits in judgment upon “Thus saith the Lord.” The desire of all nations shall come; pray for it, labor for it, and leave the times and seasons with the Father. Spoil the evil one’s plans by trusting, not by returning evil for evil, that is beast-like, and may God grant we have put off the beast. Good for evil is nobly congruous with the spirit of the Gospel: were we not saved because the Lord rendered to us good for evil?

Remember, evil thoughts themselves are the nest of sin, but we have an Advocate. Loathe your own unworthiness, but do not think repentance a preparation for grace; come as a little child, for the way is consecrated for sinners. Stand still, breathe a prayer for guidance, and then go forth ready for the battle. The LORD shall yet make Jerusalem a praise in the earth, and all nations shall know Him. Therefore we will wait for Him.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

How eagerly you have adorned your petition with the words of Scripture, pouring out your soul for the nations before the throne of God. This zeal is good. But let me press upon your heart what I have often declared: it is not the volume of verses or the naming of spirits that moves the hand of the Almighty, but a heart wholly set upon the rock of His doctrine. He who said “On this rock I will build my church” has given us commands firmer than any stone, that when the floods of calamity and the winds of plots beat against us, we should stand unshaken. You ask God to restrain evil rulers and spoil the plans of the enemy. And well you should, for the devil can do nothing but frighten; yet do not imagine that your words bind him by some formula, but rather that the One who ever lives to make intercession for us is mighty to save to the uttermost all who come to God through Him.

See then that your prayers are not mingled with anxiety or a secret anger against the disorder of the world. To fret over plots is to suffer the very evil you decry. Did not the apostles face false accusations and storms without number? Yet they triumphed with naked souls, because they knew that the one who endures is not injured, but the one who does evil brings death upon himself. Give thanks in everything. If disease comes, if possessions fail, if enemies conspire, say with Job, “Blessed be the name of the Lord forever.” For the enemy can only affright; he cannot overthrow a soul founded on Christ.

You long to see the Church as a helpmeet, imitating her Lord. That is a noble desire. But remember, He intercedes not as one who must repeatedly plead an uncertain cause, but as the eternal High Priest whose very life is our security. Therefore, do not let your heart be troubled by the roaring of the nations. The plots you hope to see exposed will be brought to light in God’s own time; meanwhile, guard yourself against that envy and burning anger which make a man no better than a wild ass. Stand in the marketplace of life and watch others quarrel; you will see how disgraceful a thing passion is. How much more should we, who are called to be a royal priesthood, keep our minds serene? Lift up your prayers with thanksgiving, entrust the boundaries of nations to Him who appointed them, and let your greatest joy be not that spirits submit, but that your name is written in heaven.
