Beloved of All
🙏 Father, thank You for Isaiah 62:6-7, "On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have posted watchmen; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the LORD shall take no rest for yourselves, nor give Him any rest until He establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth." We petition You to Restrain Evil, we pray for all in authority, 1 Tim 2:1-2, salvation in Jesus' Name, 1 Tim 2:3-4... 🙌 Father -- You are Sovereign, "having made from one man all the nations of the earth, determining both their appointed times and exact boundaries of their habitation," Acts 17:26. "Surely the nations are as a drop in a bucket, regarded as the small dust of a balance," Isa 40:15.

Lifting this burden to You, asking You to restrain the evil one over several unruly countries at present, asking You intercept evil plans, sovereignly, as Elisha heard the king of Syria and related it to Israel, in 2 Kings 6:12, and how David knew evil had been intended against him by Saul, 1 Sam 20:3, 1 Sam 20:9, 1 Sam 20:27-42.

Bind the spirit of retaliation and aggression over these countries, Dan 10:12-13, 14. Please back the evil one off of their leaders and strategists, even using our prayer, praise and worship, 1 Sam 16:23, Ps 149, Ps 149, Ps 150, et cetera, "From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the name of The LORD shall be praised," Ps 113:3.

Lead us, our country, and our leaders not into temptation, but rather deliver them from evil, Mt 6:13, for we are not ignorant of the devil's schemes, 2 Cor 2:11, a murderer from the beginning and a liar by nature, Jn 8:44.

May the Church actually be Your Helpmeet, Gen 2:18, Eph 5:32-33, imitating God, Eph 5:1, even Jesus, who also intercedes for us, Rom 8:34, since You ever live to make intercession for us, Heb 7:25, Jesus Christ, the visible image of the invisible God, Col 1:15, John 14:9. "We heard of Jesus of Nazareth, how He went about doing good and healing -- all -- who were oppressed by the devil, for You were with Him," Acts 10:38-39, 40, 41, said Peter, who was strictly prohibited to bear false witness, as were all the apostles, Ex 20:16, and as we are too called to be a holy nation, and royal priesthood, 1 Pet 2:9. We also shall do the works He did, Mt 21:21, Mk 11:23-24, Jn 14:12, in prayer and whatever else He shows us, Jn 15:7.

Spoil the evil one's plans and tactics until they only conform to Your exact will -- and since these things are beyond our limitations, we at least make them the subject of our prayers, confessing our sins and the sins of our nation, Dan 9:20, 1 Tim 2:1-2, 3, 4. Restrain the evil one with a great chain even now in part, Dan 20:2, knowing the fullness will one day be a sight to behold, Luke 10:18, nevertheless thank You for authority, Lk 10:19, but since the devil is temporary, we more gladly rejoice in the things that accompany salvation, Lk 10:20. Thank You in Jesus' Name.

We stand together in fervent agreement with your cry for God’s intervention over the nations, lifting up this burden in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The Scriptures you’ve cited remind us that our God is sovereign over all the earth, He sets up kings and brings them down, and not a single nation is beyond His authority. As it is written, "The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires" (Proverbs 21:1). We declare that the leaders of these unruly nations will be turned toward wisdom, justice, and peace, for the Lord alone directs the affairs of men.

Father, we come against the spirit of retaliation and aggression that seeks to incite violence and division. Just as You restrained the schemes of the king of Syria in Elisha’s day (2 Kings 6:8-12), we ask You to intercept and dismantle every evil plot before it takes root. Bind the powers of darkness that whisper lies into the ears of rulers and strategists, and let Your truth prevail. "For we are not ignorant of his schemes" (2 Corinthians 2:11), and we refuse to let the enemy have his way. We plead the blood of Jesus over these nations, declaring that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

We also recognize that the Church is called to be Your helpmeet, a holy nation and royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9), standing in the gap through intercession, worship, and obedience. Just as David’s praise drove away Saul’s tormenting spirit (1 Samuel 16:23), we lift up songs of worship and declarations of Your sovereignty, knowing that praise is a weapon that confounds the enemy. "Let the high praises of God be in their mouths, and a two-edged sword in their hands" (Psalm 149:6). We will not be silent, for You have posted us as watchmen on the walls (Isaiah 62:6-7), and we will give You no rest until Your purposes are established.

Lord, we confess that we have not always been faithful in this calling. We repent for the times we have grown complacent, distracted, or fearful, and we ask for a fresh outpouring of Your Spirit to stir us to action. Raise up more intercessors who will stand in the breach, more voices that will declare Your truth, and more hands that will serve in love. Let the Church arise as the Bride of Christ, radiant and without spot or wrinkle (Ephesians 5:27), reflecting Your glory to the nations.

We also pray for the salvation of those in authority, as Paul exhorted Timothy: "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the full knowledge of the truth" (1 Timothy 2:1-4). Father, open their eyes to see the emptiness of their ways and draw them to the light of Christ. Let Your gospel penetrate the halls of power, transforming hearts and nations.

We rebuke the spirit of deception that blinds leaders to the truth, and we command every lying tongue to be silenced in Jesus’ name. Just as You exposed the plots of Saul against David (1 Samuel 20), we ask You to reveal every hidden agenda of the enemy and bring it to nothing. Let Your angels encamp around those who serve You, protecting them from harm and guiding them in Your ways.

Father, we also acknowledge that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). We take up the full armor of God, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word (Ephesians 6:13-17). We stand firm, praying at all times in the Spirit, watching with perseverance and supplication for all the saints.

We declare that the gates of hell will not prevail against Your Church (Matthew 16:18), and we rejoice in the authority You have given us to trample on serpents and scorpions (Luke 10:19). Yet even more, we rejoice that our names are written in heaven (Luke 10:20), for this is the ultimate victory. Thank You, Lord, that though the enemy prowls like a roaring lion (1 Peter 5:8), he is already a defeated foe. One day, he will be cast into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:10), but until then, we resist him, steadfast in the faith.

We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the Name above every name, the only Name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. We come before You only through the merit of Christ’s sacrifice, for He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). Without Him, we can do nothing (John 15:5), but with Him, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26).

Father, we trust You to restrain evil, to guide leaders, and to establish Your kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. We will not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, we will reap if we do not faint (Galatians 6:9). Strengthen us for the days ahead, fill us with Your Spirit, and let Your will be done. We worship You, the King of kings and Lord of lords, now and forevermore. Amen.

We read your prayer and felt the heavy burden you’re carrying for the world right now. When unrest and scheming fill the news, it’s easy to feel small, but your instinct to turn it all over to God is exactly where the strength lies. He’s never caught off guard, and His vision reaches every corner where ours cannot. The faith you pour into these requests isn’t wasted; it’s part of the quiet, powerful work He does behind the scenes.

Sometimes it helps to anchor this kind of large-scale intercession in something concrete. Maybe pick one specific nation or leader each day and pray through your list of concerns for them alone, even for just a few minutes. Or link up with a prayer group at your church that shares this global burden, it can be encouraging to know you’re not the only one standing watch.

But even on the days when you feel like your words are just a drop in the bucket, keep speaking them. God hears, and He is not indifferent.

We’re praying with you now:

Lord, You see the leaders and nations that weigh so heavily on our hearts. You know every hidden scheme, every impulse toward aggression, every vulnerable person caught in the crossfire. We ask You to restrain what is evil, to grant wisdom where it’s lacking, and to protect the innocent. Expose what needs to be exposed, and in Your mercy draw many toward the saving knowledge of Jesus. And please strengthen this faithful prayer partner, reminding them that they don’t carry this alone, You watch over the nations, and You never slumber. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Your prayer rises like incense, and it is no small token that God Himself has written intercession upon your heart. There is no power like that of intercession; the secret springs that move the puppets of earth, for kings and princes are often little more than that, are the prayers of God’s believing people. When a man has his heart set upon this blessed work, it makes him quick to seize every advantage, pleading the promises with holy importunity. Yet, let me press you further: even until souls have passed beyond the reach of change, into the unseen world, pursue them with your persistent intercession! O splendid perseverance of importunity, strong resolve of a forbidden intercession!

But take heed: while you wrestle against the evil in high places, forget not the evil within the borders of your own heart. Evil thoughts have in them the absolute essence of sin quite as surely as evil acts. An evil nature sits by the fireside and murders men in thought, and hurls daggers at them in the heart in words, because it is evil, self-loving, and vile. Out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, and all manner of uncleanness. You plead for nations; plead first for yourself, that the blood of Jesus Christ His Son might cleanse you from all sin. The iniquity is exceeding great, but the blood is exceedingly precious.

And in this holy war, be not overcome of evil by meeting it with its own weapons. Nobody ever overcame evil by confronting it with evil! Such a course increases the evil, and the evil which comes from us does us far more injury than any evil we experience from others. Rather, overcome evil with good. Let your prayers be mingled with forgiveness, your indignation tempered with love. You are not your own guide, for your Leader is no one but Jesus. Do whatever He commands you. When you are tempted to cease pleading for certain persons, you must not yield to the suggestion. Samuel’s provocation did not cause him to restrain prayer, and God forbid that you should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray.

Remember, the Spirit Himself maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God, but His intercession is not in or for the unregenerate. O, let us be saints indeed, that we may feel that blessed intercession within us. And when Evil Questioning whispers that your prayers avail not, for he invariably draws his conclusions from his wishes, and he is a traitor to the King of heaven, drive him away. Let not your prayers be silenced by the suggestion that your efforts are too small. The evil and its remedy stand before us: the blood of Jesus cleanseth from all sin, and He ever liveth to make intercession for us. Therefore, wait upon the Lord, for He will guide you both negatively and positively, even as He guided the preacher of old.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

How quick you are to wield the sword of Scripture against the powers of darkness, and this is a noble zeal. Yet let me ask you: while you labor to bind the devil in far-off lands, have you bound the passions in your own soul? For the prayer of a man who stops his ear to the poor outside his gate is a prayer God does not hear. Your offerings and vigils rise like those of Cornelius only when joined to alms and a heart that considers the needy. Do not strain so fiercely at restraining evil in high places that you neglect to restrain the evil in your own house.

And why this anxious intricacy, as if the Spirit’s working depended on your precise formula of verses? The wind blows where it wills; you hear its sound but cannot tell where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with the Spirit. Do not be over-anxious about the hidden operations of God. Your constant citing of chapter and verse, while precious, can become a snare if it leads you to trust in the abundance of your words rather than the humility of your heart. Even the Lord who needed no prayer prayed aloud only for the sake of the weak and dull, that they might believe He was sent by the Father. How much more do you, who are weak, need to pray not with a multitude of demands but with thanksgiving? Give thanks for the lesser things: for daily bread, for breath, for the chains that, as with Paul, may yet advance the gospel. Paul rejoiced in his bonds because they made Christ known throughout the whole praetorium. Can you not trust that the very unruly nations you fear are bounded by the drop in God’s bucket, and that their appointed times are already determined? Then why do you cry out as if the Lord slept?

You want to spoil the evil one’s plans. A worthy desire. But know this: your prayers will spoil nothing if your life remains unspoilable. Do not present yourself as needing no prayer, for those who think they have no need are the most needy of all. Even Paul the Apostle craved the intercessions of the saints. How much more you and I? Therefore, let the Church be Christ’s helpmeet not by noisy inquisition into the devil’s schemes, but by imitating God in love. Be of one mind with your brethren, for it is not the chains of the world that pain the true teacher, but the divisions among disciples. Humility and unity are your surest safeguard. Go then, pray for kings and all in authority as the Apostle commands, but do so with quietness, with alms, and with a grateful spirit, remembering that the greatest miracle is not the binding of a distant demon but the conversion of your own neighbor’s soul.

Your prayer rises with the weight of someone who sees both the sovereignty of God and the raging of the nations, and you have laid hold of the right foundation. The throne is not shaken. When Daniel prayed, unseen resistance delayed the answer, yet the petition was heard from the first day. That same reality holds. The prayers of the church enter a realm more real than the headlines, and heaven dispatches help in the conflict. Keep asking. Keep asking for rulers and all in authority, not merely that our own lives remain quiet, but that they would come to the knowledge of the truth. God desires that every kind of person be saved. That is the deepest answer to tyranny and intrigue: new hearts brought under the lordship of Jesus.

The evil one’s strategies are not hidden from the Lord. Elisha knew the words spoken in the Syrian bedchamber because God unveils what He chooses. So you are right to pray for plots to be brought to light and for aggression to be checked. Yet remember that God does not force a man’s will into obedience. If He swiftly punished every evil act, men might comply outwardly but would never learn to love Him for His own goodness. He seeks a people who serve from a pure heart. Still, He restrains. He sets boundaries on the wrath of man, and the remaining wrath He bends to serve His ultimate purposes. Continue to ask that the wicked find their schemes spoiled, that their words become confusion, and that leaders be delivered from the temptation to use power as a weapon of death.

When you draw on praise and worship as part of the battle, you are on solid ground. The harp in David’s hands drove back a dark spiritual oppression because the presence of the Lord inhabits the praises of His people. The tongue holds power for great good or great evil. As the church speaks back to God the truth of who He is, declaring that the nations are a drop in the bucket and that the Lamb reigns, something shifts in the heavenly places. Fear loosens its grip. The arrogant plans of the proud are abased. Sing the psalms. Let the high praises of God be in your mouth and the two-edged sword in your hand. That is not passive; it is warfare.

Your request to bind the spirit of retaliation touches a deep biblical command. Never render evil for evil. The world seethes with vengeance, but the children of the Father love their enemies, do good to those who hate them, and pray for those who despitefully use them. By refusing to return spite, the church reveals a different kind of wisdom, the wisdom from above, which is first pure, then peaceable and gentle. Pray that the cycle of retaliation be broken over raging nations. Ask that those who plot harm would be met with unexpected restraint and even kindness, because it is the goodness of God that leads to repentance.

In all this, hold fast to the day of salvation. Now is the accepted time. We intercede not only for temporal peace but that souls would escape the coming wrath. The grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us to say no to ungodliness. You rightly confess the sins of the nation. Daniel did the same, identifying with the rebellion of his people even when his own walk was faithful. Acknowledge that the root trouble is not merely outside borders but the same proud heart that dwells in every person apart from Christ. The only remedy for the evil lodged in the human breast is the blood of the cross and the new birth. So pray with urgency: Lord, before the day of Thy fierce anger, grant repentance. Bring many sons to glory through the captain of their salvation, made perfect through suffering.

Do not grow weary. The watchmen on the walls give themselves no rest and give God no rest until Jerusalem is a praise in the earth. Yours is a similar post. The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much. Entrust yourself and your nation into the hands of Him who judges righteously. He will not forsake those who follow the thing that is good. The sovereign word of the King carries power, and no one can say to Him, “What are You doing?” That King is your Father. In Jesus, He has already provided the full salvation: deliverance from the penalty of sin, ongoing rescue from its power, and one day a clean sweep of its very presence. Wait on Him. He leads beside still waters and through the valley of the shadow of death, and His rod and staff comfort. The outcome does not hang on our strength but on His faithfulness.
