God, please give me another chance.

Oh God, how much more will You make me suffer? I am Your child too. If I have made any mistakes, please give me a chance to correct them, but please don't close all the doors for me. I am deeply troubled and feel so helpless. Please have mercy on me, Lord, and show me a way. 🙏❤️

We hear the deep anguish and helplessness in your cry and we join with you before the throne of grace in Jesus' name, lifting you up together as one who is deeply troubled and longing for mercy and another chance.

We want to gently remind you that our Heavenly Father does not delight in your suffering, but He is near to you in it. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. And 1 Peter 5:7 tells us to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you. The pain you feel is real, and God sees it completely, yet His purpose is not to close every door to crush you, but to lead you and refine you. James 1:2-4 says Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. And Romans 8:28 assures us that we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose.

If you have made mistakes, there is such hope, because His mercies are new every morning. Lamentations 3:22-23 says It is because of Yahweh's loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn't fail. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness. When we confess our sins He is faithful to forgive and to restore us. Hebrews 12:6 says For whom the Lord loves, he disciplines, and chastises every son whom he receives. Discipline is not rejection, it is proof that you are His child and He desires to correct you and lead you into a better way, not to shut you out forever. Revelation 3:8 reminds us that He can set before you an open door, which no one can shut.

We also noticed that your prayer speaks to God and to the Lord, but does not mention Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and receive mercy and salvation. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We encourage you to come to God through Jesus, confessing your need for Him as Savior, for Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is by the blood of Jesus that we can boldly approach God for mercy. Hebrews 4:16 says Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need.

We pray together for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this precious soul who feels helpless and that all doors have been closed. Lord, have mercy and let Your compassionate and unfailing love be felt right now. Forgive every mistake and sin as they are confessed to You, wash them clean by the blood of Jesus, and give grace to correct what needs correcting according to Your will. Lord, You see the suffering and the troubled heart, and we ask You to draw near, to comfort, to give peace that surpasses understanding, and to show clearly the way forward that You have prepared. Open the door that no man can shut and close the doors that should not be opened. Give strength to endure this trial, wisdom to see Your hand at work, and hope that You are working all things together for good. Help our dear one to trust fully in Jesus as Lord and Savior and to rest in Your promise that You will never leave nor forsake Your children. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to stay in prayer through Jesus, to pour out your heart honestly to Him daily, to read His Word, and to trust that even when you cannot see the way, He is making a way. Isaiah 41:10 says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Keep seeking Him, turn from anything that does not honor Him, and He will guide your steps.

We hear the ache in your words, asking God for another chance and wondering how much longer the suffering will last. Feeling helpless and as if every door is closing is an exhausting place to be, and we want you to know you are not unseen in it.

It makes sense that you would feel this way after carrying so much distress. That sense of helplessness often grows when hard things have piled up and you have had little relief. It does not mean you are forgotten or that you have no value to God. You are still His child asking for mercy, and He hears that honest cry.

When everything feels closed off, it can help to not face it alone. We would encourage you to share this burden with one trusted person in your life this week, a pastor, a mature believer, or a counselor who can sit with you, listen without rushing to fix, and help you think through one small next step forward. You do not have to sort out every door at once.

We are praying for you and we will keep praying.

Father, we lift this heart to You in Jesus name. You see the trouble and helplessness being carried right now. Have mercy and show a clear next step, bring steady support nearby, and guard this heart with Your peace and care. Give strength for today and hope for what is ahead. In Jesus name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so. Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your cry for mercy has not fallen unheard, for the God to whom you pray is slow to anger and plenteous in mercy. His sword of justice is held back by His own hand, for He delights in mercy and has no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live.

It is a proof of great tenderness on God's part to think upon His sinful creatures at all, and more still to provide a way of pardon. That provision is not found in our own corrections or deservings, but in the sacrifice of His dear Son. When there is a sacrifice, God looks upon sin with eyes of mercy, and though justice says destroy, He says I have punished My dear Son and will spare the sinner. All His mercy to a sinner is gratis. He never sells, He always gives. He asks no payment, but acts because He will have mercy on whom He will have mercy.

You feel that doors are closed and that you are helpless, and you ask for another chance to correct what has been amiss. Know this, that a sound hope in mercy begins with feeling your need of mercy as mercy, clean divorced from every confidence except in Christ. The first thing God's true mercy will do for you will be to turn your face in the opposite direction, to make you a new creature with new loves and new hates, not merely to ease trouble while the heart remains unchanged. Do not rest in a false hope that expects mercy while continuing as before. True mercy leads a soul to confess sin, to forsake it, and to trust only in the Lord Jesus Christ who came to seek and to save the lost.

Your prayer itself is a hopeful sign. Prayer is the forerunner of mercy, often the very shadow of the blessing that is coming. The God of mercy goes before you. Before you called He provided, while you are yet speaking He hears. We were not fit to receive His mercy, so we thought, but His mercy came. We could not squeeze out a tear, but He accepted the dry heart that would have wept if it could. When the gates around you seem shut, the gates of mercy are not shut. The King can say Deliver him, and the prison doors are opened.

Therefore do not postpone your acceptance of His mercy, and do not despair as though He had forgotten to be gracious. Come now through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we must be saved. Tell Him plainly your sin and your helplessness, ask Him not only to open doors of outward relief but to give you a new heart and a right spirit, to make you feel the way of salvation as well as know it. He can make you rejoice in it as well as listen to it.

Continue in prayer, for great prayer is the prelude to great mercy. Seek Him in His Word, turn from what you know to be wrong, and cast yourself wholly upon Christ. Every morning His mercies are new. What a mercy that you are still spared, still able to pray, still able to seek Him. May that tender mercy which provided a Saviour now lead you to accept Him, and may you find that He is gracious unto you, revealing His uprightness and granting you peace.

Your cry for mercy has been heard, and the pain and helplessness you feel are not hidden from God. It is good and right that you have turned to Him and asked for another chance, for Him to show you a way when every door seems closed.

Scripture tells us that nothing is so characteristic of God toward us as mercy. He has already shown His mercy first, not because of any good works we have done, but according to His own kindness and love through Jesus Christ our Savior, who was sent not to condemn the world but to save it. Through Him we are washed and made new and made heirs of eternal life. That mercy is still offered to you today.

God does hear the prayer that comes from a sincere heart. He looks at the intention of the heart more than the words alone. Prayer is a great good and a guard for the soul, and He invites you to keep praying, not only in church but in the quiet of your own room with honesty before Him.

At the same time, mercy calls for a response. The Lord teaches that the merciful will obtain mercy, and that judgment without mercy will be shown to those who show no mercy. If we ask God for mercy, we are also called to live in a way that is worthy of it, by showing mercy to our neighbors, turning away from what is wrong, and doing what is right. If you know of mistakes that need correcting, bring them plainly to God in confession, ask for His forgiveness through Christ alone, and take the practical steps to set them right where you can.

You asked if God has closed all doors. Remember that when the apostles were shut in prison with guards at the doors, God opened the doors and led them out. No human lock can keep out His help. He often works in ways we do not see at first, and He divides our life into a time of testing now and a time of crowning to come. Even when we feel punished, His correction is meant to bring us back, for both mercy and correction come from Him, and His desire is to restore.

We are praying for you that God will have mercy on you according to His great goodness, that He will give you clarity and strength for the next step, that He will open the right door and give you grace to walk through it, and that you will find hope and help in Jesus Christ. If you can, share your burden with a faithful pastor or mature believer near you, stay in prayer and in the Scriptures, and show the same mercy to others that you are asking God to show to you.
