God’s mercy and protection over ###… we are expecting ### to pass directly over us within 24hrs. We are still recovering from ###, please pray for us… for the people here to also repent and turn towards God. In Jesus’s Name… God is greater than this typhoon! Thank you

We lift our voices together in fervent prayer for the Northern Mariana Islands and Guam as you face the impending threat of this typhoon. Our hearts are with you, and we stand in agreement, declaring that God is indeed greater than any storm. We take comfort in the words of Psalm 46:1-3, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas; though its waters roar and are troubled, though the mountains tremble with their swelling."

Father in Heaven, we come before You with heavy hearts, asking for Your mercy and protection over these islands and all who dwell there. Lord, we know that You are sovereign over the winds and the waves, and we ask that You would calm this storm and guide it away from causing harm. Shield the people, the homes, and the infrastructure from destruction. We pray for those still recovering from past storms, that You would strengthen them and provide all they need to endure and rebuild.

Lord, we also lift up the spiritual condition of the people in these islands. We pray that as they face this trial, their hearts would turn toward You. May this storm be a catalyst for repentance and revival. Let them see their need for You and seek Your face with all their hearts. We ask that You would draw them to Yourself, that they may know the hope and salvation found only in Jesus Christ. As it says in 2 Chronicles 7:14, "If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

We rebuke the spirit of fear that may try to take hold of the people. We declare that perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18), and we pray that Your love would surround and comfort every heart. Strengthen the faith of believers there, that they may be a light and a source of hope to those around them.

Lord, we also pray for the emergency responders, government officials, and all those working to prepare and protect the islands. Give them wisdom, strength, and courage as they serve the people. Let Your hand of protection be upon them as well.

We stand on the promise of Romans 8:28, that "we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Even in the midst of this storm, we trust that You are working for the good of Your people. May Your name be glorified, and may many come to know You as their Lord and Savior.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We’re holding you close in prayer as you face this approaching typhoon, knowing you’re still recovering from the last one makes the weight of this moment feel even heavier. It’s normal to feel fear, and we’re asking God right now to wrap you in His steady peace that goes deeper than the storm.

Your cry for the people to repent and turn toward God is a beautiful, honest prayer. In a crisis, our hearts can get stripped down to what truly matters, and that longing for many to find mercy is not something to rush past. Turning back to Him isn’t about perfect words; it’s about the heart, and we believe He hears when we call.

Practically, please keep making the wise preparations you already are, stay inside sturdy shelter, follow local emergency instructions, and check in on neighbors who might be alone or extra vulnerable. Even simple things like confirming a meeting point or charging phones can help steady you as you wait.

As the winds rise, remember you’re not facing this alone. The God who calmed the sea is still near, and when you whisper His name, He’s with you. We’re grateful you’re leaning into that truth.

Lord Jesus, we ask Your mercy and protection over these islands and every person in the storm’s path. Shield them from harm, calm anxious hearts, and bring the sort of help that lets communities recover well. Draw many to Yourself, not out of fear alone, but into a lasting hope that changes lives. In Your powerful name, amen.

The howling of the wind and the roaring of the sea are but the whispers of a God who would be heard in the clamor. Let this tempest, even while it threatens, preach to every soul in those islands a sermon mightier than any from a pulpit of wood. Judgment may well strike the ear, but let it also pierce the heart. Carnal repentance, a mere terror of the storm, will not suffice. A repentance that springs only from fear of the lashing waves is but a repentance of the flesh, and it will need to be repented of. True repentance, wrought by the Spirit of God, gives glory to God. It bows low before His sovereignty, crying, “We have no claim on You, O Lord, except to be punished. Have mercy upon us according to Your lovingkindness.” Such repentance makes a rainbow with tears of grief for sin and glances of hope at the cross of Christ.

God is greater, you cry, and He is! The winds are His messengers, and He who holds the waters in the hollow of His hand can bid them be still. He can save you, be you as black as hell He can save you. But do not allow a false hope in His mercy to lull you into a false peace. The first thing His mercy does is to turn the heart wholly around, to create new loves and new hates. If ever mercy comes to you, it will not leave you clutching your sins while you pray for safety. Repentance and remission of sins are joined so tightly that where the one is found, the other surely follows. A true sight of the storm without must drive you to the storm within, the tempest of guilt that only Christ’s blood can calm.

Pray, then, not merely for the eye of the typhoon to pass by, but for the eye of faith to fix upon Jesus alone. Let your cry arise from the deep places of a broken spirit: “God be merciful to me, a sinner.” The repentance that saves is that which empties the heart of self and fills it with Christ. It is repentance in His name, the sweet gift of His pierced hands. His tender mercy thinks upon you; it asks nothing but what it gives. A broken and a contrite heart He will not despise. Cry to Him who is mighty to deliver, and let your very terror become the birthplace of a hope that maketh not ashamed. God displays His sovereignty in saving souls, often in the singular season of distress. May this be the hour when many in those islands know the footsteps of mercy, turning from dead works to serve the living God. He delighteth in mercy. He will have compassion on whom He will have compassion. Run to Him while He is near.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The roaring of the wind and the crashing of the sea cannot drown out the voice of God, but they can drown out the noise of our worldly distractions and force us to listen. This terror that speeds toward you is not a sign of God's absence, but a call to awaken from sleep. For He is long-suffering, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. The storm is a passing thing; the state of a soul is eternal. Let this imminent hour be for you what the whale was for Nineveh: a herald not of destruction, but of amendment.

You ask for mercy and protection, and rightly so, for His mercy endures forever. Yet let no one think to bargain with God, promising repentance in the storm only to return to folly in the calm. Esau sought a place of repentance with tears, but found none, for his grief was not a grief for his sin but for its earthly consequences. Let your tears, if they must fall, be for the offenses you have offered to God, for a pride that forgot the Creator, for a life lived as though the world were our home and not a sojourn. This is the repentance that pierces the heavens, the repentance that turns aside wrath and makes a vessel of destruction into a vessel of mercy.

Do not only pray to be spared, but pray to be changed. The fiery trial of the typhoon is one thing; the unquenchable fire is another. If you have tasted the heavenly gift, if you have known His mercy, do not crucify the Son of God afresh by a stubborn heart. Instead, run to the shelter of His compassion, and bring forth fruits worthy of repentance. Let the powerful aid the weak, let neighbors open doors, let all worldly goods be counted as nothing compared to the salvation of a soul. Almsgiving and mercy to the suffering are an oil that quenches the flame of judgment and fills the lamp of your soul with light. So while you pray for the winds to pass, labor even more earnestly to secure what no typhoon can touch: a heart cleansed by confession, a conscience set right with God, and a love that mirrors His own long-suffering. For He is indeed greater than this storm, and He will show His power, either in the mercy that restores or in the majesty that humbles. Turn to Him swiftly, and His mercy will be your shield.

A powerful storm may be bearing down on you, but the truth you have already declared is the unshakeable foundation: God is greater. The winds and the waves are under His command, not the other way around. When Paul was driven by that fierce tempest on the way to Rome, the ship wasn't just drifting at the mercy of happenstance. God’s hand was on it, directing it to a specific island, to a people who desperately needed to see His power and hear His word. What looked like a tragedy and a peril was actually God’s sovereign way of bringing salvation and healing to an entire community. He is just as in control of this typhoon.

Your request for mercy is exactly where our hope lies. Mercy is never a right we can claim; it flows entirely from the sovereign will of God. He says, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy.” And the staggering, beautiful truth that His word presses deep into our hearts is that His mercy endures forever. It is as high as the heavens and it runs through every situation, even when the storm comes because of our own failures. When we cry to the Lord out of our distress, He hears. He is not stingy with His mercy, He delights in it. We see it woven into the very fabric of creation, from the sun ruling the day to the stars coming out at night. The God who stretched out the earth above the waters is the same God whose mercy is now a covering for you.

Your prayer that the people, and indeed all of us, would repent and turn toward God is the very heartbeat of what the Lord is looking for. There is a sorrow that is just the despair of the world, and that leads to death. But godly sorrow, the kind that looks at the power of the storm and the fragility of life, works a true repentance that leads to salvation. It is a change. It’s turning from our own way to His. That is the excuse God is looking for to pour out His forgiveness and mercy, not to withhold it.

This mercy and truth found their perfect meeting place at the cross of Jesus Christ. Because the penalty for sin was fully paid there, God can be both perfectly just and abundantly merciful to us. He can forgive the guilty and give peace to the restless heart. So cling to that. Cry out, “Lord, have mercy upon me, give Your strength to Your servant, and save us.” He is plenteous in mercy and truth, and He will answer. Your hope is secure, not in a calm sea, but in the God whose mercy endures through every storm.
