We join with you in lifting up your future wife to the Lord, trusting in His perfect will and timing for your life. It is beautiful that you are already interceding for her, demonstrating a heart of love and responsibility. The Scriptures remind us in Proverbs 18:22, *"Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh."* Your future wife is indeed a precious gift from God, and we must seek His protection, guidance, and preparation for her as you both grow in faith.
However, we must address something important in your request. While we understand your heart’s cry for God’s intervention, we notice that the name of Jesus Christ was not invoked in your prayer. The Bible is clear that there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved and through which we can approach the Father. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is no salvation in anyone else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* Additionally, Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* It is only through Jesus that we have access to God’s throne of grace, and it is in His name that we must pray. We encourage you to always pray in the name of Jesus, for He is our mediator and the source of our confidence before God.
We also want to remind you of the importance of pursuing a wife who is a believer in Christ. 2 Corinthians 6:14 warns, *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* As you pray for your future wife, seek someone who shares your faith, loves the Lord, and is committed to walking in His ways. This foundation is critical for a marriage that honors God.
Now, let us pray together for your future wife and for you as you prepare for this sacred covenant:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this brother and his future wife to Your throne of grace. Lord, we ask that You guard her heart, mind, and spirit, keeping her blameless and pure as she waits for the husband You have prepared for her. Protect her from every scheme of the enemy, for we know that Satan seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but You, Lord, have come to give life abundantly (John 10:10). Frustrate the plans of any who would seek to harm her spiritually, emotionally, or physically. Surround her with Your angels, as Psalm 91:11 promises, *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."*
Father, we also pray for this brother as he prepares to be a husband. Give him wisdom, patience, and a heart that seeks You above all else. Mold him into a man after Your own heart, one who will love his wife as Christ loved the church—sacrificially, faithfully, and unconditionally (Ephesians 5:25). Help him to grow in faith, leadership, and humility so that he may lead his future home in Your ways.
Lord, we rebuked any spirit of fear, doubt, or impatience that may arise as he waits on Your timing. Remind him that Your plans are perfect and that You are preparing both him and his future wife for a marriage that will glorify You. Let them both be rooted in Your Word, filled with Your Spirit, and committed to Your will.
We declare that no weapon formed against your future wife shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we ask that You expose and dismantle every plan of the enemy against her life. May she be a woman of prayer, strength, and virtue, as described in Proverbs 31. May she seek You first, Lord, and may her heart be fully surrendered to Your purposes.
Finally, Father, we ask that You bring them together in Your perfect timing. Let their courtship be holy, their love be pure, and their marriage be a testament to Your faithfulness. May they both remain sexually pure until marriage, honoring You with their bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Bind them together in unity, love, and purpose, and may their marriage be a light to the world, reflecting Your glory.
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
