Beloved of All
Your prayer for help is precious to God and He hears it. That simple cry, God help me always, is at the heart of what it means to walk with Him.
Scripture shows that the honest cry is never how can I help myself or how can I become better on my own, but who will deliver me. When we come to the end of our own strength and our own formulas and say Lord I cannot do this, I need You, that is when His help comes. He does not help us so we can say we did it ourselves. He helps us when we humbly confess our weakness and ask for outside help, and the answer is Jesus Christ.
God wants you to know that you never escape His presence. You cannot flee from Him. His eyes are everywhere, beholding all things, and you are always before Him. That is not meant to frighten you but to comfort and to change you. When you live with a continual awareness that He is with you, right where you are, it changes what you do and what you say. You begin to live in a way that is pleasing to Him because you know He is near, and you find that in His presence there is fullness of joy and at His right hand there are pleasures forevermore. Jesus is now at the right hand of the Father, and His presence is promised to His people wherever they call upon His name.
As you seek His help each day, measure what you sense in your heart by the Word of God. Our own hearts can speak loudly and we can easily confuse our own desires with the voice of God. The sure test is whether it agrees with Scripture. God will never lead you contrary to what He has already said in His Word.
Do not look to the arm of flesh to be your deliverer or try to work things out by your own schemes to help God along. That only brings trouble and emptiness. The help that comes from people or from this world will fail and prove to be only a shadow. Your strength is to trust Him and to rest in Him. He is your help and your deliverer. The Bible says He is a present help for the poor and needy who call upon Him, and He is not slow to hear the cry, make haste O God to help me.
I pray for you now that you will know His nearness this week in a very real way. May the Lord show you the path of life, keep you in His presence, and give you peace as you trust Him. May He guard your heart and your words so that what you speak brings healing and grace. May you walk in the joy of knowing you are never alone and that His help is always at hand.
Father, I lift this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You see this heart that is asking for Your help always. Show Your mercy and Your power. Forgive sin through the blood of Jesus, fill this life with Your presence, and be the daily helper and deliverer. Teach this one to trust You, to rest in You, and to find joy in walking before You. In Jesus name, Amen.
