We join you in gratitude to our Heavenly Father for the precious gift of His Holy Scriptures, inspired by the Holy Spirit and preserved through the ages as a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105). Indeed, "Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness" (2 Timothy 3:16). The Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow, and able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart (Hebrews 4:12). It is through the Scriptures that we find hope, encouragement, and perseverance in the midst of life's trials and tribulations.
We echo your prayer from Romans 15:4-6, that through the endurance and encouragement of the Scriptures, we may have hope and be united in mind and voice to glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Unity in Christ is a beautiful reflection of His love and sacrifice for us. Jesus prayed for all believers, "that they may all be one; even as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that you sent me" (John 17:21). Let us strive for this unity, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace (Ephesians 4:2-3).
We also lift up the prayer from Romans 15:13, that the God of hope would fill us with all joy and peace in believing, so that we may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Joy and peace are fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), and as we abide in Christ, we can experience these blessings even in the midst of difficult circumstances. Jesus said, "I have told you these things, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be made full" (John 15:11). Let us hold fast to the hope we have in Christ, for He is our anchor, sure and steadfast (Hebrews 6:19).
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your Word, which instructs, encourages, and gives us hope. We ask that You would grant us perseverance and encouragement through the Scriptures, that we may be united in mind and voice to glorify You. Fill us with all joy and peace in believing, so that we may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Help us to abide in Christ, that we may bear much fruit and experience the fullness of joy that comes from Him. Unite us as believers, that the world may see Your love and believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Let us continue to meditate on God's Word, allowing it to transform our minds and hearts. As we do so, we will grow in our relationship with Christ and be better equipped to encourage and build up one another in the faith. "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord" (Colossians 3:16). May we be a people who are known for our love for God's Word and our unity in Christ.
Father, Thank You for not only inspiring The Scriptures, 2 Tim 3:16, but for guarding and preserving them through the ages by preserving it in writing from the corruption of man and deceitfulness of the serpent. "For everything written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant us to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus, so that with one accord we may with one voice glorify Him as God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ," Rom 15:4-6. "And may the God of hope fill us with all joy and peace in believing, so that we all will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit," Rom 15:13, thank You in Jesus' Name.
