Beloved of All
đź“– Father, Thank You for not only inspiring The Scriptures, 2 Tim 3:16, but for guarding and preserving them through the ages by preserving it in writing from the corruption of man and deceitfulness of the serpent. "For everything written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant us to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus, so that with one accord we may with one voice glorify Him as God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ," Rom 15:4-6. "And may the God of hope fill us with all joy and peace in believing, so that we all will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit," Rom 15:13, thank You in Jesus' Name.

We join you in gratitude for the precious gift of Scripture, which God has inspired, preserved, and given to us as a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105). The Word of God is indeed living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart (Hebrews 4:12). It is through the Scriptures that we find instruction, perseverance, encouragement, and hope, as you have so beautifully expressed through Romans 15:4-6.

We are reminded that all Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16-17). The preservation of God’s Word through the ages is a testament to His faithfulness and sovereignty. Even when faced with the corruption of man and the deceitfulness of the enemy, God has ensured that His truth remains unshaken and accessible to all who seek Him.

As we meditate on Romans 15:13, we are filled with awe at the promise that the God of hope desires to fill us with all joy and peace in believing, so that we may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. This hope is not a fleeting emotion but an anchor for our souls, sure and steadfast (Hebrews 6:19). It is through the Holy Spirit that we are empowered to live in unity, to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus, and to glorify God with one voice.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your Word, which is a source of life, wisdom, and hope. We praise You for preserving it through the ages so that we may know You, Your will, and Your ways. Lord, we ask that You fill us afresh with the Holy Spirit, that we may be filled with all joy and peace in believing. Strengthen us to abound in hope, even in the midst of trials and challenges, knowing that our hope is founded on the solid rock of Your promises.

Father, we pray for unity among Your people. May we be of the same mind with one another, united in Christ Jesus, so that with one accord and one voice, we may glorify You. Guard our hearts against division, pride, and selfish ambition, and help us to walk in humility, love, and mutual edification. Let Your Church be a beacon of light and hope in a world that so desperately needs You.

We also pray for those who may be struggling with doubt, discouragement, or weariness. Remind them, Lord, that Your Word is a wellspring of encouragement and perseverance. May they find comfort in the truth that You are the God of hope, and that in You, there is fullness of joy and peace. Strengthen their faith, and help them to trust in Your unfailing love and faithfulness.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, through whom we have access to Your throne of grace. May Your name be glorified in all that we do, and may Your Kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.

Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful (Hebrews 10:23). May we continue to encourage one another daily, as long as it is called "today," so that none of us may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin (Hebrews 3:13). Together, let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:1-2).

We can hear the gladness in your words, and it lifts our own hearts. When Scripture sinks deep enough to turn into spontaneous praise, something solid is being built, something that doesn't depend on how the day is going. The God who guarded the words you love is still guarding the hope they carry, and that hope is for you right now, not just for an ancient audience.

A life anchored in Romans 15 kind of hope has a way of becoming a steady gift to the people around it. The joy and peace Paul prays for aren't fragile feelings; they're the deep, quiet confidence that God is who He says He is and will do what He has promised. That confidence tends to overflow, and often the people who receive the overflow never know the prayer that started it. So we thank God with you for every time He has used His preserved Word to keep you steady, and we ask Him to let that same hope characterize your ordinary moments, the quiet ones, the hard ones, the ones that don't feel spiritual at all.

Father, thank You for the hope only You can give, the kind that outlasts uncertainty and fear. Thank You for the perseverance and encouragement Your Spirit pours into those who trust Your Word. Fill our friend now with all joy and peace in believing, and let that hope spill over into every relationship and every conversation. Guard their heart in Christ, and make their life a quiet, genuine witness to Your faithfulness. In Jesus' name, amen.

How precious are these words from the apostle, and how fitting a prayer they make for every believing heart! You have grasped the golden chain, the Scriptures written for our instruction, that through perseverance and encouragement we might have hope. The God of all grace has indeed inspired the Book, and He has guarded it through the ages; not a jot or tittle shall fall to the ground, for it is His own voice to His children. So then, let us hold fast to what we have received, for in those pages we find the promise of final perseverance. The righteous shall hold on his way, and he that has clean hands shall wax stronger and stronger. Why? Because the life imparted in regeneration is an incorruptible seed; it lives and abides forever. He that has given us this life will not depart from us, and we shall not depart from Him, what greater assurance could we desire?

You have asked to be filled with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope. Mark well the order: it is in believing that joy and peace come. Many seek the flower of joy without the root of faith, but that is to put the cart before the horse. Faith looks to Christ, and then joy and peace blossom as the soul's sweet flower. If you would have a full measure of these, look not within yourself for signs and feelings; look out to the crucified Savior, whose wounds still stream with mercy. In a moment, when I first looked to Him, I had joy and peace, and so may every sinner who comes. The joy of the Lord is your strength, your beauty, your charm, and no man takes it from you, for it is rooted in the risen Christ.

Yet our hope is not in ourselves; there is no hope in our own devices. But we have a good hope through grace, a hope that makes not ashamed. The God of hope has given us His Son, and by the power of the Holy Spirit we abound in hope. It is no dream, as sure as Christ is at the right hand of the Father, so surely shall every believer be with Him in glory. This is the hope that burns brightest in the darkest night.

And see how beautifully the apostle joins to this a plea for unity: that we may be of the same mind, with one accord, glorifying God with one voice. When the heart is right with God through faith, it is at peace with others. The joy of the Lord makes a man of a sweet temper and a generous spirit. Follow peace with all men; pursue it, even when it seems to flee from you.

Let this doctrine of perseverance encourage any who are on the road to heaven. The Lord will keep you to the end; He will put His fear in your heart, that you shall not depart from Him. And let it draw sinners to come and receive salvation with grateful delight, for while there is life there is hope in Christ. He takes pleasure in those who hope in His mercy. Cry mightily to God for His blessing, and look to Jesus on the cross, bleeding out His life for the guilty. Then you shall go on your way rejoicing, filled with a joy that shall never utterly fail, abounding in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
